I was wonder about Steven too. But I guess they met afterward and that was the first time they met. You know Steven is always looking soberly when he watches others perform. Tryed not to take it personal. I am sure he will give Adam his opinion. He's Steven Tyler for goodness sake. I thought Adam looked so much more mature as an artist. He had a message to give and he gave it. He is so unselfish. His rewards will be many in the years ahead; as so will ours becomes of our great community of fans; we are like family to Adam. That is why his heart is full. He really appreciates us and all he has achieved he attributes that to his fan base. He is living his dream;however he wants to help others along the way. SO SO proud of him. Not to mention his boys Monte',Tommy and Issac. Issac rocked on those bongos!

Anonymous said...

Adam wonderful amazing awesome beautiful....but Jennifer,Randy and Steven were deadd in the water,,what is wrong with them tonight,,get a grip..they needed some of Adam's inner glow and happiness

Anonymous said...

Adam was fantastic and he looked fantastic. Loved the less glam.

Anonymous said...

Yes Monte,Issac and tommy were wonderful...Adam you rock..love it..looking so good ..all of them

Anonymous said...

For all the comments on the other and this thread about Stephen Tyler not liking Adam's performance.....how do you know?

Anonymous said...

I'm speechless!! Has he ever looked so handsome?

Anonymous said...

I loved how he looked and sounded. I was not real sure if I would like a super clean cut look. I have to say I think I like the clean cut look the best because all you see is what a naturally handsome man he is. He looked so polished Ryan and all the other guys looked plain. I think Steven Tyler was speechless. He was really staring at him.

Anonymous said...

Nonplused? I had to look that one up. You thought Steven seemed perplexed? confused? I thought he was being downright rude.

Jen, Randy, and Ryan seemed to be happy to see Adam there, and their clapping was more enthusiastic.

Steven seemed uninterested, and what really ticked me off was that he actually did stand up and applaud that Diddy Dirty guy, or whatever his name is. I can only interpret it as Steven being intimidated by the perfection that we call Adam Lambert. D**n, he was looking fine tonight. He probably got that tan at Bora-Bora.

Up until now, I had enjoyed Steven's antics on American Idol. Now I just think he's a jerk.

Anonymous said...

ST looked like he had indigestion!!! Who knows. Maybe he was blown away by Adam's beauty :)) Sounded perfect especially on my good speakers, and damn, did he look yummy or what? Even my hubby commented how clean cut and handsome he looked. And that's something. I'm so so proud to be an Adam Lambert fan.

Anonymous said...

Adam looked soooo handsome I almost started to hyperventilate! He sounded great. The audience seemed to really like it and stood up at the end. I was disappointed that the judges didn't, especially Randy. Steven Tyler looked cold and uninterested maybe my imagination. Hopefully he was just stunned by Adam's amazing voice and stage presence. Yeah, Ryan should have mentioned to download it on AO. Adam should have been the one to give the contestants advice. Sorry I am ranting just my opinion.

Anonymous said...

Does someone have the picture of the reaction of Steven Tyler? I want to see it to judge.

Also, J.Lo. How as her reaction?

Anonymous said...

Steven's standing up was like a slap to Adam, but maybe Adam is not his cup of tea. Could be that he wasn't feeling well. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because I've liked his contribution to Idol this year. I find him funny. I'm a wee bit prejudiced. How could anyone not love Adam.

Anonymous said...

I want to see Adam on TV every week!!!! He looked gorgeous and sang gorgeous. MORE ADAM. I hope he's on a late night talk show soon with the same song.

Anonymous said...

Wanna Say ADAM KILLED IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVED HIS PERFORMANCE TONITE!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I have come to think, and it's not just because some of us fans think the world revolves around Adam Lambert, which we do sometimes :), but we are also a smart group I think, and so it is not just because I think the world revolves around Adam Lambert... but I truly think that for some other's in the music industry to acknowledge Adam Lambert's immense innate talent is to somehow diminish their own, which is silly really, but I think that does exists in the industry, and Adam Lambert is unfortunately a victim of that thinking. As for these specific music industry people at the Judges table tonight... there is a lot going on, live in that building, I'm not going to attach too much meaning to their actions. What is more important at this very moment is purchasing, and encouraging others to purchase, the Aftermath Remix from AdamOfficial. Fingers crossed on that.

Anonymous said...

Don't forget sometimes these judges, contestants, and audience members have been sitting there for hours. Adam may have practiced and sang it a few times, I'm sure the reactions were positive. PLUS they do edit things to a point. Diddy song same sound as everything else out there - girl sings, then guy ruins song with some awful hip hop rap crap. ADAM WAS FREAKIN ON FIRE! Best I've seen in a while.

Anonymous said...

Maybe he was in thought or something how do people know what other people thought.

Anonymous said...

Adam always surprises us. You never know what to expect. He looked so handsome and my heart is full now. I will never get enough of him. He is such a beautiful person. I wish he could perform again this season. I will miss him in the weeks ahead. I sort of lost interest in the contestants after seeing Adam. None will ever replace him. He will always be my favorite Idol!

He looked absolutely amazing tonight. I think he is starting his less glam more leather look! I think with this look he will win over some of the fans he may have lost early on.

Great that he got to perform in front of a new Idol audience and hopefully will pick up many new fans!

Anonymous said...

The judges don't need to stand up. Who cares, he was so unreal. I'm in tears! Loved how he rocked it. The audience loves him!!!

Anonymous said...

Adam and GNT band were perfection! Stunning vocals and great to see someone so new to the music business giving back and helping people. Maybe Tyler was wishing he looked half as HOT as Adam. Could it be Adam is even more beautiful unglamed? And he looked happy; I just love him, Monte, Tommy and Isaac. BRAVO! And don't forget to get Aftermath Remix at AO.

Anonymous said...

Steven was wondering if Adam was the same guy that sang "Cryin" and sounded better than himself. Jen called the Lamb "BABY" she's such a cougar. Randy was in another world.

Anonymous said...

Iloved this,,love it love..love Adam..how handsome and composed he it...wow.cannot stop watching this..gorgeous

Anonymous said...

Steven Tyler clapped and for sure he was stunned by Adams style of singing???????? Probably he was thinking how great and unbelievable Adam was tonight??????? Just jealous maybe ??? Those screamers were out of this world for Adam indeed.

I think I listened to this for 15 times already and I want more .........

Loved they way he looked Much better than all the gimmicky stuff - just a fantastically handsome man with unbelievable talent. Hot!

Anonymous said...

Wow, what a surprise. I don't think I've heard Adam sing in a slow song in such low register begore. Absolutely beautiful! I love Adam sooooooooooo much. And no, Adam's performance tonight wasn't about Steven, Jen, or any of the judges or contestants. It was about the beautiful message it holds and promoting the Trevor Project and the NOH8 Campaign. Let's remember that and go get our downloads of the remix which is now available for download!
So let's go get us some : )

Haven't you noticed that the clean look on Adam has been since he has been dating Sauli. Sauli has the clean look too. I think that Adam's full heart is because of Sauli too. He was wonderful tonight. I love the clean look, it shows how handsom he is, although he still has some makeup on, you have to on TV.

Anonymous said...

DID I SEE A SORTA SNUB FROM THE JUDGES????THEY LOOKED STONED FACE AND DIDN'T EVEN GET UP TO APPLAUD...BUT...STOOD UP AND WENT CRAZY OVER DIDDY????AM I SEEING THINGS????.

Anonymous said...

I thought Steven Tyler looked positively rude, but you're right, I don't know what he might have been thinking.

Anonymous said...

I just watched the HD version. What is what Steven Tyler's bitchy face???

Anonymous said...

I hate these judges! Bring back Paula and Simon! Ugh.

Thank god I'm not watching this season's Idol.

But Adam was spectacular.

Anonymous said...

@3:40 in newer updated video, all 3 judges start right in clapping, as audience, for the most part, jumps to their feet, and the judges continue clapping (and notice most contestants on feet too), it's all good. Look more closely, Judges are WATCHING, paying attention.

Anonymous said...

Adam has to be one of the best looking men I have ever seen and tonight he looked his absolute best.
I agree with a post another thread that said he was off pitch in the first verse, maybe nervous. I think it might have been effective to walk around a bit too and the high held notes on love didn't really build from anywhere. I could have slapped Steven Tyler and also Randy. To be honest, altho Adam's voice got better as he went, it wasn't a performance that really grabbed me, maybe too fast to show the true emotion of it. Adam has to make every performance really count and I'm not sure this will do it (sorry, and I'm not a troll...) I am a little disappointed that this might not be as groundbreaking as we are all hoping. There was so much build up to this and I don't think it delivered the goods like it could have. I think he could have come out rocking with Fever, just change the damn pronoun for god's sake.. or keep it...

Anonymous said...

My heart was pounding when I watch him on the big TV. He looks stunning tonight, gonna to slave some new fans. His performance is good and lively and really down to earth. The judges look like dead fish to me. They probably expect Adam to rock like hell, so shallow of them. Don't even know the real meaning of the song. Should go and research before coming to work on idol. They get big $$$ to do their job. That diddy guy, rap like an old man, I think he miss some lyric, so different from what I heard on the radio. Our Adam truly make the Aftermath more meaningful and stunning after tonight. So proud of him.

Anonymous said...

Adam is my idol forever . . . perfect night for him.

Anonymous said...

I just watched it on TV and the judges are not on their feet and Steven isn't even clapping.

Anonymous said...

I can not see the video, Another version of Aftermanth Incredible! Thanks for the links and comments before and after the spectacular performance.
Congratulations Adam. Peace and love to you forever.
HH.

Anonymous said...

what was that cute little dance Adam was trying to do? J-Lo said she would teach him. Steven clapped after the song and Randy did also. Great Performance!

Anonymous said...

really guys, look again, Steven's not being bitchy-faced I don't think (and I mean, geez, he's a bit peculiar to begin with, in a good way), look closer, I really think he's just paying attention and taking it all in. Standing up for Diddy, well that's about business, believe it.

Anonymous said...

Give Steven all the excuses you want, but I don't think he was impressed by Adam. I think Adam had potential to make this so much more - it seemed really rushed and nervous to me. Accoustic should have been slow and emotional or do the plugged in version like on the album and blow everyone away - this was a bit lame, sorry

Anonymous said...

admin please dellete the short version

Anonymous said...

I thought Adam looked absolutely handsome. But what does bother me is that he seems to be having trouble singing the upper registers, those high notes. I was concerned that he would harm them by touring and I think this has occurred. You can't maintain soaring high notes when you are using your voice constantly the way Adam has been doing in the past year. So, I don't know what to say about this except to wonder if he will be able to do something to make sure he protects his voice from damage or repair what damage has been done. This is not to say he didn't sound great tonight, because he did, but he was definitely favoring his voice in the upper registers.

Anonymous said...

All of you will be fans no matter what, but the truth is that Adam didn't do anything that breathtaking tonight - I think is was way below potential and that.s why the judges weren't raving.
Of course, they rave about all the contestants who have absolutely no talent on this season!

Anonymous said...

The vocal was not perfection as some say, but good heavens people, Adam Lambert is a human being. I saw flaws first time watching live too, but have watched it twice now on my own recording, and twice here on this thread's updated version, and it was better than I thought when I watched it initially live, in fact, it was pretty damn great. I do see some validity in what a few have said, it could have perhaps been "more", but Adam Lambert is a human being, jeez.

Anonymous said...

Most current pop stars' best night can't even hold a candle to Adam Lambert's worse night... that's not the opinion of one Adam Lambert uber fan, that's a simple truth. Tonight not legendary maybe, but so so good nonetheless.

Anonymous said...

This comment page came up after I had my say on previous page, but feel compelled to comment once again.....I'm alone no one else to rave to...you're it!

If a full heart for Sauli makes him this happy and beautiful I say Hurray for the Finn.

Loved his LOOK...I'm hoping this is a trend away from extreme theatrics...hopefully he got that out of his system with The GlamNation Tour.

I know..I know so many of you loved it, but it was limiting for his career. He was a novelty act, many would be fans didn't "get it"

He was often compared to Lady Gaga, do we really want that? Remember he was doing a lot of extreme costume acts (ie Zodiac) before Idol and no one was beating down his door to hire him in mainstream tv or recording.

Idol was a chance he took and it paid off. I think he's on his way, I think his track will be more mainstream and he will be a great success.

I was around to see Elvis go from being the subject of Sunday Sermons all over the country.........he was called the spawn of the devil. And became the King of Mainstream!

We're ready for a new King, maybe it'll be our boy........now I really will shut up......JAK

OMG! What a babe! He is trending 3rd on Yahoo homepage right now, so show performance had a lot of impact. As for JLo, she would like to teach him a lot more than the Dougie. We all would only we might be the ones getting schooled.

We are used to hearing it on our acoustic cd and also in the glamnation tour. He was at his most comfortable and natural on tour where he knew everyone was his huge fan. Agree not his best ever but still amazing! Surely will get more fans, don't think this performance will hurt him at all. We have just been spoiled , but new fans will love it.

Steven Tyler & P. Diddy know each other and remember Aerosmith did a rap collaberation back in the 80's.

Geez! Steven was looking constipated most of the night.

Anonymous said...

I thought Adam was off pitch also at the start of the song on my first viewing on my smaller set with the tiny speakers. Then we replayed on the BIG Sony with surround sound, and he was freaking perfect. Just shut your eyes and listen. He is right on key but in the lower register. It's gorgeous. With the better speakers, the tone of his voice is richer but still doesn't sound like he does in person. It's difficult to capture good sound on the tinny speakers most sets have, even the newer ones. You need to have an enhanced speaker system.

Anonymous said...

if anything was odd it was ryan seacrest making things awkward. he gets nervous around adam and then it gets awkward.

Anonymous said...

Adam looked absolutely perfect tonight. I like this look without all the glitz and glitter esp. for this kind of song. Maybe his performance wasn't exactly perfect, but it showed his vocal talent in comparison to Diddy...what a waste of time. Adam should have talked to the contestants with some words of advice since he had been in their place two seasons ago, not Diddy. It was so good to see Adam on AI again and I hope his remix of AFTERMATH does well for him and the Trevor project.

Anonymous said...

He WAS absolutely gorgeous tonight, and so thin! True, he started a little shaky, but everyone is so happy to see him on stage again, and we've heard the song so many times we don't really care, do we? I loved the sexy sly look he gave the camera a few times, we've seen this so many times during Glamnation... I missed it.

Judges looked a little stern but as someone also pointed out earlier, they might have heard him already during rehearsal or the sound check. Or maybe it was their "We are aware there is an important message in your song" kinda look, you know, some type of quiet respect.

As for JLo, hey, you're busy with husband and twins, lady, lemme teach this boy the dougie dance. I'll show him how it's done! as if he didn't know already. Did you see him just initiate the moves? You made my night, BABY!
:-))))

sorry, i have to agree with 6:51pm. he was nervous from his voice, but luckily not his face, stunning looking! i could feel he's tired (why? sick or sth?) and not well ready. this is rare for him.

the three judges were totally boring! jlo is the only talking one, but why cannot feel any sincerity from her eyes?

anyway 'continue success'! the experience from last night is priceless for him and for us. maybe he will put more efforts on vocal training and get some rest. good luck

Anonymous said...

i don't know about tyler-hard to tell what he was thinking. he looked zoned out. adam was beautiful as ever. sang like an angel and looked very comfy with his best buds in the band. tommy looked beautiful and monte was great. isaac was awesome on the bongos. so good to see them again. it's been too long. adam looked thinner and very happy. you go bb!!!

Anonymous said...

I just don't understand, ladies. Are you pretending that it was on of the best Adam's performances? Are you trying to blame Steven, JLo, even Randy because they were bored! What did these judges except from Adam tonight? AMA! Man-to-man kisses, a lot of make up, glam! Sorry, girls, Adam just made very good, sleepy commercial for Trevor Project. And Adam lost fans like Steven and JLo. They want fun not Trevor Project commercial. Call me bitch, troll, or ask me dont' make any comments on this blog again.
I love Adam. but it was BIG WRONG step again. Ever worst than AMA.
I am gonna cry tonight, because I new it.
Nobody cares about Aftermath. But everybody care about "Fever", "Sure Fire Winners" , or FYE.
Love you, Adam. Doesn't matter what will happen with you after all.

I think Adam had a wonderful performance tonight. He looked fantastic and he accomplished what he came there to do. I think Steven's problem was that he was wishing that he looked half as good as Adam. Was great to see Monte, Tommy and Isaac too. Go to AO and get your download of Aftermath Remix.

Anonymous said...

Adam looked spectacular! Such a clean look, perfect hair, clothes, glammed down....love the look. Despite some of the above comments I thought Adam's vocals were great. It was easy to listen to all the lyrics which was the important part of the performance...getting the message across. I think he did a great job. BTW, I love hearing him sing in the lower register for a change. We still get the purity of the falsetto too. What are some of the complaints about? On hitting the high notes "love" his voice sounded a bit rough? Yes, it did but that's a more masculine sound if you ask me. I heard him do that before sometimes.

I noticed ST's facial expression too. Def wasn't great but I think he may have been taking it all in and kind of lost in his thoughts. I'd love to know just what he was thinking lol!

HMMM,you guys are really all fans here? I bet if I went to Diddy's fan site his fans wouldn't be discussing the notes he sang right or wrong, how it compared to this or that, what he should or shouldn't have done. Why don't we all help throw away Adam's career with two hands.

Anonymous said...

Oops! I meant "I've heard him do that before".

Adam, you're brilliant!!! Start off in that low register and then take it to the high scream. Show all viewers and new fans your range, baby. You're the best.

Anonymous said...

Adam was clearing his throat a lot during his radio interview with Seacrest yesterday. As a voice therapist, that was a sign to me that his voice might be a little rough tonight. His voice on tour got stronger and richer. He never missed a note. That was over three months ago. He hasn't been singing, at least in public, much since. He needs to sing more, exercise those lovely vocal cords. And, he oversang tonight. Still love him to death though!

coloforadam said...

Adam Lambert was not there to be judged by the people behind that table. Why even speculate or comment on them? His performance was, as always, perfectly what he wanted it to be - not about glam, not about his voice, it was to be about the message in that song about which he is passionate!! THAT was the focus and he pulled it off to utter perfection. Thank you, Adam, for the courage and beauty you portray to inspire so many to trust who they are. That is all that needs to be said about tonight.

Anonymous said...

I love Adam but I wish he researched his charities a bit. The It Gets Better Project was created by sex advice columnist Dan Savage and his partner Terry. They've cited the Trevor Project as a good place to donate if you want to help prevent gay teen suicide and the proceeds from things like It Gets Better tee shirts go to the Trevor Project, but they're not behind the project. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IcVyvg2Qlo

AFTERMATH is a song with a message and Adam performed it exactly as it should have been done. Listen to the lyrics; that's what is important to Adam and for the Trevor Project. How could you (above) say it was worse than his AMA performance? You are so wrong!! He looked so handsome without all the glitter and makeup. This is my favorite look for him. I thik he set the bar so high on season 8 of AI that it is difficult for me to watch the contestants without comparing them to him. There are some good ones this time around, but I think the judges need to step it up and be tougher in their opinions. I do believe they sent the right one home tonight although I would have included Karen Rodgrigues along with her. That was the low point of the show with Adam Lambert being the best of the evening.

Anonymous said...

Bye, bye, bye Delilah5. You've been really snarky lately. Take your own advice and don't post here anymore.

Hey guys no worries! Read on another thread a few minutes ago that peeps who were at the show were twittering that JLO hugged Adam after the show and Steven and Adam were chatting up a storm. Steven told Adam that he liked his necklace. Also, TommyJo is good friends with Steven's daughter so I'm sure he's heard alot of good things about our Adam! The peeps also tweeted that Adam spent alot of time talking to James Durbin. James tweeted Adam later saying that he was so glad to meet him. Loved everything about BB tonight and everday and everynight!! All is good!!

Look, we have seen him over hundred times perform aftermath for diehard fans here, some expect him another OTT killer vocal tonight. But tonight is not all about vocal, Adam has his heart full singing about himself in his own country facing 20 millions audience , I think he is very emotional tonight. He truly does a marvelous job , sing with his heart and help out those lost teens. I am very proud of him for what he is doing for his Trevor charity.

Anonymous said...

I know Adam wasn't there to be judged but I wanted those judges to hoot and cheer. It was disappointing not to see that happen - it would have given Adam more credibility to the public watching.
I know everyone wants to be all positive on this site, but this was not what I hoped for to get Adam into a big career. He brought the goods, there should have been more response. At least Ryan and the audience were cheering.
And ST standing up for the other band and not even clapping for Adam - what bullsh**t!

Anonymous said...

Ok first I would like to say that I wholeheartedly agree that this is the best look for him :)))He looks flawless here and really handsome...I hope he continues to sport the "clean" look :)

As per the vocal performance, I have to agree with the above posters who point out it wasn't his best performance, that we've seen anyway and he did start off a little shaky which kinda surprised me...but I think it was just jitters and him adjusting to the audio. Also we are not accustomed to hearing him sing a single note out of tune EVER so we are a picky bunch LOL....
I also noticed that a lot of the higher notes sounded slightly strained, or well actually he didn't sound like he was straining too much to be precise but rather his voice sounded raspy which worries me but it could be that since he's working on his next album he's been recording so maybe his voice is a bit worn out from that...
he is a perfectionist therefore I doubt he would let his voice get damaged so I won't linger on that too much. he should maybe work with a vocal coach to reinforce that passagio technique.

The judges attitude doesn't really bother me as much although I did notice how apathetic JLo seemed (more so that Steven I thought who just looked like he was analyzing the performance and trying to keep his cool so to speak) but they certainly did applaud and the crowd was very enthusiastic which is what counts I think.

One last thing, did anyone notice how jittery Ryan gets around him? I may be wrong but I get the impression that he gets like nervous or something which made things a little awkward.
I do think he really, really likes Adam though. He was really enthusiastic and overzealous which I think rubbed off on Adam a bit...at least that was my impression.
Just sayin.
what do you all think?

Anonymous said...

anon 8:00pm amen to that!

Were the girls in the audience so cute? I adore Adam fans they just give him their all!

Anonymous said...

The truth is it was a fine performance I mean he has done better he's done worst. I prefer when he goes big and loud but it was a performance for a charity that what he was there to do it was fine. People are acting like this was a make it or break in performance it wasn't it was just one he will have a lot more when his new album comes out he had a lot for the Grammys. Its just one link in the chain. I don't get why people are making it such a big deal.

Anonymous said...

I watched it twice enjoyed the performance and vocal interaction, more the second time. I think because it was a different Aftermath, and in a lower register which we dont hear from Adam a lot.
He sounded and looked beautiful.
As for Steven I guess I did expect a different reaction from him, but I think or hope maybe he was just taking it all in, who knows?

I do also, like some have said, think Steven was just taking it all in. He really seems to be paying attention, it appears to me that this is how he's been from the beginning this season, he concentrates, deliberately, on what's going on in front and around him, and sh*t, that's a good thing isn't it. He could be more concerned w/ drinking from his Coke cup and such like that other guy who's no longer behind the judges table.

"....get Adam into a big career."??? Huh?? It is mind boggling how anyone could have watched that tonight and come away with anything resembling disappointment. And is that what we do here, conjure up some sort of powder puff, cheerleader, pollyanna positives cuz we can't face grim reality? 8:04pm, I hope you just had a bad day. Wish you could sit down and have a nice long talk with Adam and absorb some of how he feels about how things are going.

I miss the heavy liner Adam. I love when has those eyes lined in dark smudged liner and his wild hair. He did great on the show tonight!

Adam has a big career there are a lot of artist out there that would kill to trade places with him. Yeah it was a fine performance his last idol performance was better but it was one performance on solid performance for charity its not the end of the world. Adam will have out of this world performance he will have ok performance and bad performance its called a career and he will have plenty more performance in the future why is so much weight put on this one performance.

Holy crap! I'd be nervous too. Just listen to you all banter on and on about Adam...either not being perfect enough, or being too perfect, or this or that...just enjoy the fricken song already. It was great! The judges reactions didn't matter. Adam's not a contestant anymore. The song was meant to be on the serious side, and it was, and it sounded great! Knowing Adam, he was probably trying something new, like trying to keep the song in a lower register. So just take it for what it was. A pulled back serious side of Adam lambert. Just enjoy the unique sound, sheesh people!

Anon 8:02, thanks for info re twitter talk. We always tend to over-analyze everything. Of course everything was fine tonight with judges! Can't wait for more info, pics or vids showing us what happened backstaged or when the show was over. I wish we had seen more of that after Adam's song. We have to listen to Ryan's radio show tomorrow.

I'm back, may be up all night.....First a response to comment about going to Diddy's fan page.....in the first and second and third place,

Diddy doesn't SING he TALKS !

Adam's voice did sound strained, lower pitched but sweet and true till he went for the HIGH "LOVE" I think he'll be kicking himself while listening to the playback. He heard it at the time and went on and finished very soft and sweet.

Most of the early reviews haven't mentioned it as a detriment to the performance. With the exception of one witch whom I shall handle later................JAK

LOVE LOVE LOVE this natural look on Adam! I disagree that nobody cares about Aftermath.

Finland sure does since it was released as a single there!! Also based on many posts here Adam's fanbase worldwide do also!

Adam made no mistake by supporting the Trevor Project with a remix of Aftermath and performing the acoustic version on AI tonight.

OHHHH contrar!! The AI audience AND the AI contestants LOVED him! That is who really counts!!

Not sure what was going on with Steven Tyler but let's not read too much into this though. Betcha Adam charmed both Steven and JLo -- we have no way of knowing how many takes of this song there had been or what all went on behind the scenes.

ALOT of emotion with the contestants tonight that also has an impact on the judges feelings.

I for one am hoping that the Aftermath REMIX sales are significant! Adam is such a humanatarian!!

Oh, God, Let's all stop being so overly analytical about this! It was a wonderful performance, deeply felt by Adam. Usually, his performances are 120% perfect. This one was a mere 100% perfect. The shaky start didn't bother me; I knew he'd recover and he did. The high raspy notes were powerful and not out of control. He's a guy with a great voice, not an inhuman voice robot. We want perfection from him every time, and guess what, he's a real person. I believe the judges really liked him and I wouldn't read too much into how it looked on TV. Nobody can deny that voice, even with a slight flaw sometimes. No other singer I know is held up to such a high standard by his fans. We take apart each note all the time! The crowd loved him, the contestants were impressed, I'm sure. And ST and Diddy are friends, from what I understand, so it's no big deal that Stephen stood up for him. Adam did great! Can't we just sit back and enjoy? I do wish that he had more time for explain the Trevor Project part of it.

After watching this a few times and REALLY analyzing, looking at Stephen.. He's looking kind of intense... almost like he's trying to figure Adam out...

Sorry anon @ 7:33 but huh?? don't know what you're talking about. tired/sick?? Are we looking at the same guy??
The only thing I heard was on "lo-ost" your way, and just sounded like a frog is his throat on that word... the rest sounded damn near perfect.

This WAS more up tempo... This show is TIMED on a tight schedule, everything is shortened... not like on tour when he starts out slower and the first few bars are softer... doesn't hit the big notes till almost the end... He went into BIG notes right away--pretty much have to, This is a HUGE mainstream prime time audience he has a chance to reach-- right away. There's not enough TIME to romance the audience at the regular pace, AND have time to talk for only a few moments.

--Judges...WTF?... remember the last time?? His performance of WWFM with the clouds and laser tornado was EPIC!! Vocal was incredible.. almost no reaction from the judges then either who admitedly already loved him.

When ditty-dotty doo was rapping, I was here typing and it sounded live and lousy!...(She sounded really weak) GOOOD thing for me I was away from the tv and didn't see they actally stood up for that crap??? WT_?

I think Adam looked AND sounded amazing tonight.

Steven looked bitchy right from the beginning of the show tonight. Even when he was introduced he looked angry.

I think he might have been annoyed because there was so much bad press about the judges being too "kind" to the contestants. All the newspapers and talk shows were very critical of the AI judges today.

Oh well, get over it.....
Adam is a star and we love him. I loved the natural look.

The AI audience always complained that he was too "glam" maybe he won over new fans with his natural look. God knows the AI audience likes "boring, plaid shirt wearing contestants"!!!!!

ps. Steven stood for Diddy...but JLO and Randy didn't.

@7:56 PM Voice Therapist, thank you for sharing your observations. I thought Adam sounded hoarse or congested--even when he was talking. Thought he oversang to maybe compensate, like he was trying to hit that one memorable note? However, Adam on an off day still sounds way better than most on their best. I was thinking that men may actually prefer this raspy Adam sound LOL.

Adam just owns the stage when he's on it. He eclipses everyone, to include those 3 judges, in his charisma and star power. You simply cannot take your eyes off him.

@8:07 Adam is famous for his passagio. I think he's got the technique down after 12 years of vocal training (with operatic training during teen years, per Adam in one of his interviews). His AI Ring of Fire performance is often used as an example.

Ryan Seacrest ALWAYS gets discombobulated around Adam LOL. It's like he looks into Adam's gorgeous pale blue eyes and loses his train of thought. Do you think he has a crush?

Adam was so gracious and--breathtakingly beautiful tonight. Sutan (alias Raja) evidently took time out from Drag Race to "primp my beautiful friend" today per Twitter.

Thought bubble over Steven Tyler's face after Adam sung: "Oh, bloody hell, so THAT'S what a contestant is actually supposed to sound like when they can really sing! WTF? Thought Tyler sat like a Zombie throughout most of the show and during Adam. Think maybe he didn't like the competition on the show. He's here new star, and bet he doesn't like to share. Jlo was very nice to Adam and my opinion of her went way up. Happy that Adam went and talked and hugged all the kids. I am sure it meant a lot to them

When Jennifer stopped clapping early and looked at her rings and her fingernails, she was thinking, "I'm prettier, aren't I?" as she needed some reassuring after seeing how gorgeous Adam was. When Steven stopped clapping even before her, he was thinking, "Hmff. I used to be androgynous and I was prettier. Wasn't I? Hmm. Maybe if I picked my teeth some more I'd look prettier."

I've watched 4 times now. The first time I noticed it wasn't his best performance, but with each listen it gets better, because his personality is there and even when Adam doesn't sing his best, he's very very good.

Anonymous said...

Don't know what you guys are listening to when you say he didn't sing well. He was freaking perfect. It was just quiet at times and in his low register that we're not used to hearing.

Got to say that Adam looks so much better without all the eye makeup. I didn't think that would be possible, but it is. He looks like he's 19 and not 29, and he's glowing. Such a beautiful man.

Anonymous said...

Did I watch the same Adam Lambert performance. Am not a music critic but did not hear a shaky start, just heard a beautiful performance from an extremely handsome, caring grammy nominated super star.
I am an awe of him and how down to earth and kind he his, unlike some of you. I do agree the judges were rude and arrogant, which was surprising, considering they give positive feedback to everybody whether they deserve it or not.

Anonymous said...

Suggestion for those who felt Adam's vocals were not great tonight. I know you all recorded it, so please listen through good speakers. It will make a world of difference. Sorry to keep harping on this, but it's not fair to judge anyone's vocals based on the regular television speakers, even if you have a newer fancy set with all the bells and whistles. They still have small speakers. If you haven't already done so, get surround sound and give it another listen. You will be amazed. Well worth the cost if music is important to you. I'll quit.

If Adam gets judged so pickily, by his fans. think I made up that word, then imagine what the haters must say. Can we all just love and support Adam. I thought he did fine tonight. The audience loved him and he is an amazing talent and person.

I have watched this performance twice now. Will watch it a couple more times - but here's my initial, gut-reaction: wow, Adam looked amazing, was glowing (as someone said)! I love the OTT/glam-glitter look, but appreciate all Adam's looks, and the fact that he just keeps us guessing. His eyes were clean and clear, his smile absouletly dazzling (as always - THE most amazing smile). He looked young and fresh.

I agree with those who said he sounded a bit "off" at the beginning, and raspy throughout. It reminded me of the first time I ever saw him live, in Seattle last August, and something was wrong with the sound system because when he talked, he'd sounded like he'd breathed in helium! His singing is so strong, he sounded great, but there were some points in the songs...and all his banter with the audience...when he just didn't sound "right" and the beginning of this performance reminded me of that experience.

I am used to the accoustic Aftermath on cd, where his voice sounds like absouletly crytal-clear mountain spring water flowing effortlessly over smooth, ebony rocks. :) The "rocker edge" in his voice tonight caught me off guard, but then I assumed he did it on purpose for Steven Tyler and James Durbin! Ha, ha!

But Adam can sing whatever he wants, however he wants, and it is a joy to listen to. I LOVED how excited the entire audience was, and that they gave him an immediate standing ovation - that was SO great!!

The judges. WTH? I will watch this a few more times, but I always go with my gut...and my gut said, the first time I watched this (w/out over-analyzing it): what's wrong with Steven and JLo? Why are the so not into this? Especially Steven? Did he not like it...is he just analyzing it...? His reaction was very lackluster.

Ryan Seacrest - can't stand the man. Yes, he brings out the anxiety around Adam, and I felt like he made Adam feel rushed and anxious at the end. Adam didn't seem as comfortable as usual.

OK - there's my analysis, for what it's worth.

Overall - awesome, just to see him performing again!!

OH - and how could I forget - yes, was only expecting Monte...what a treat to see Isaac and Tommy!!! That was SO GREAT!

Check out **Youtube --from his live tour, Look up 'SOAKED' from Hawaii, SLEEPWALKER from Foxwoods. (Both are songs on the album) These live versions are passionate and breathtaking.

Also on Youtube...
If you've never heard it, you will TRULLY appreciate the pure quality of his voice and the amazing perfection of his delivery in a little masterpiece called "Come to Me, Bend to Me" from the musical "Brigadoon"

There's TONS more, but it's late and those are a good start... enjoy!

He could have done it original way, since the band was there, or the remix. I thought only Monte was going. Adam was good, I'm not complaining, but acoustic is acoustic, a bit boring. I'd say it's a small market segment that likes it this way at the moment.

Anonymous said...

Ok, maybe he screamed too much or it sounded that way, because there wasn't enough background music for his singing. :)

Anonymous said...

Adam looked so divine, so handsome, so yummos but his lower register didn't sound good in the early part of the song. I'm not bitching ... just telling it as I heard it and there's absolutely nothing wrong with my hearing.

The judges just sat there stoney-faced. :-( Perhaps they were hoping for a rock performance but Aftermath isn't about a rock performance, and surely they would've heard Adam sound-checking but maybe not. This song has a wonderful, heart-felt message that should only be delivered by Adam.

Who knows .... maybe the judges don't like Aftermath as a song? Whatever, there are millions of people who absolutely love it.

Anonymous said...

I thought Adam's voice sounded a little gruff at the beginning .... maybe he had a cold or a cough but his higher notes were great as usual .... and he looked incredibly handsome which, of course, he is! :)

I love the melody of Aftermath, but the acoustic performance ruins it. I've said it before. The vibe is so good in the album version. In the acoustic performance the vibe is different, more like preaching.

OK, maybe if my mother (79 years young!) will stop hitting "replay" for a second, I can put my 2 cents in, lol! To me, it seemed that the song started kind of fast, I mean that the tempo seemed quicker than Adam expected. I also noticed the rasp, but over all, I DONT CARE. I got to see Adam perform, that is the main thing (and Mother saw Tommy for the first time and said, "who's the blonde boy? He's a cutie!") I also noticed that Adam wasn't wearing his earpieces tonight. I can't remember ever seeing that before except on Season 8.

As for ST, dont know what he was thinking (although I loved the Bubble comment), and...don't really care.

@Delilah5; you have always been so friendly; I hope nothing horrible has happened to you to change your outlook on life and make you all grouchy.

Now I am going to take advise given and listen to tonight's performance with better speakers (over and over again!) Oh, geez, there goes Mother with "replay"...gotta get that remote away from her!

Perhaps Adam sang Aftermath in a lower register? It sounded lower to me. With the instruments that accompanied him, I would've thought the accompaniment would be greater (i.e. louder) but they were very quiet .... too quiet I thought but we, Adam's fans, are not always going to agree on how we find his performances.

The judges ... only Randy seemed enthusiastic but I guess they're entitled to their opinion/s which may or may not necessarily be the same as ours. They seem hell bent on praising the Idol wannabes this year when praise is not warranted. I say BRING BACK SIMON to get things into perspective again.

Adam looked fabulous as usual. No ultra glam, just perfect imo. :)

@7:56, Appreciated your professional input and I agree with your comments. Adam hasn't been on stage in awhile and when he was on the GNT he paced himself well and did his vocal exercises. He is so exceptionally good that if there is a slight difference, those of us that have seen so many performances, pick it up, whereas those unfamiliar wouldn't notice anything and would think he was amazing. I thought he sounded great apart from the first couple of notes,(sounded nervous), the audience were really into it. Not sure what to make of Steven Tylers reaction, it does seem a bit strange after over praising everyone all season so far, at least I think he does, to be fair most of the time I actually don't understand what he's trying to say.
Thought Adam looked beautiful, although I do miss the mascara and eyeliner.
and @delilah5, really not sure where you're coming from with your comments. I agree it wasn't his 'best' performance, but still great. As to no one cares about aftermath, I care, much prefer it to Sure fire Winners. Just because its not your favourite doesn't mean everyone feels the same. Well, lots of opinions..Just finally got a chance to comment. So much happening in the world tonight..Earthquakes, tsunamis...Rather overshadowed Adam's performance for me just a little. And it takes A LOT to overshadow an Adam Lambert appearance for me!

I thought Adam was fabulous, classy, gracious, and very handsome. It was wonderful to see the band guys again too. Being that I am a rather (admitted) die-hard Adam fan, I often defer to my fan-boy, but not quite as obsessed....er...involved, husband to give me his take on Adam's performance. He said he thought he was perfect, and after I mentioned that I had read a little criticism from (ahem..) "somewhere", he said that was BS. So there you have it, an (almost) unbiased opinion from someone other than me. Short, sweet, and to the point.

I do have to admit he sounded slightly hoarse tonight in a couple of places, but only because those of us who have listened to perhaps a thousand performances (songs) of his over the last two years (maybe more) are so attuned to every nuance in his voice, note, riff, pitch, etc., that anything different at all is noticed. Heck, maybe that was part of the "sound" tonight..I don't know... He said he would be doing a different version of this song tonight and he did...and beautifully. He looked so good too, and SO happy! We haven't seen him this "clean" , with minimal make-up...since early in Idol season 8 (although I like him pretty much any ol' way...). I think he really wanted the SONG and the message to be the stars, not him or his band. And I also have the feeling that Steven Tyler was just taking it in, paying rapt attention, to Adam and the song..and the message. I'm quite sure JLo likes him very much, and of course so does Randy. As someone above said, during the Commercial break, all sorts of hand shaking, talking, hugging, etc went on..I have some friends who where there (lucky..) and I'll get the whole story from them...I'll also find out how the sound was in the theater in their opinion. As we know, LIVE is always better, at least in Adam's case.

And just a note to @delilah5. I am sorry you are so upset with Adam's performance..I also realize that you are concerned for Adam's career, and are worried for him. (Been there, done that..) But I hope after things have settled down again, you will re-watch it and perhaps you may appreciate it for what it is..a stripped down elegantly simple yet emotional song meant to inspire people. I think it is a beautiful song and says so much. I think it also speaks volumes that Adam would forego the big loud splashy performance that we love and we know he is so good at, to just sing with his heart and soul, not to bring attention just to himself but to the message of the song. Although it's pretty hard not to notice him anyway, that's for sure My eyes are still glued to him, dancing or sitting still.

Now...if we could just have Adam on EVERY week!!!! Heaven!!

@colorfadam at 7:58PM & @ANON March 10 at 8:03PM - those are exactly my thoughts and thank you so much for your posts.

Sometimes in our over eagerness to make other people embrace Adam just like the way we do and in our utmost desire for him to skyrocket to super stardom, some of us expect him to give the most stellar performances by our own standards each time he takes the stage. And if he doesn't live up to all our expectations we feel so sorry that he didn't deliver the goods. But how about the others who have heard him the first time and those who are again reminded of his musicality. While watching Adam tonight, hubby said that he is really an excellent vocalist. That to me is the best compliment because hubby has a very discriminating taste when it comes to music. For him to like Adam's Aftermath rendition is such a big thing for me.

In all honesty, i am more than thankful that i got to see Adam on TV again so i savoured every minute of it and i felt so gooooood. I enjoyed this version because i just love everything about Adam not that he can do no wrong. He can sing his songs or any song for that matter any which way he wishes because it will always be pleasing to my ears. So what if it wasn't one of those spectacular performances by our standards. As far as i'm concerned, he still did a great job on this one. Hubby is watching it again LOL and thought that it was from the movie 2012 so i had to educate him more about our Diamond Boy hahaha. By 10PM we are going to watch it again and i'm still excited here.

I'm soooooo proud of you Adam and you are one gorgeous man! ILYSM :)

Before i forget, sending positive thoughts not only to our Glamberts in Japan but to all the people there who were affected by a very strong earthquake and tsunami. We are also praying that other neighboring countries including ours will be spared from the same. Please pray for us too.

@glitzylady isn't it divine when our hubbies get Adam too! Thanks for another insightful post :)

@ Bing...Hi there...

Well said and nice to read your thoughts. SO glad your hubby likes Adam and will watch! That's wonderful. I think Adam did a lot better than some folks think... he was understated and the idea was to have the LYRICS and meaning take center stage... there may have been raspy spot or two... but the positives were GREAT.
After the big note on LOOOVE... the way he took it down into such a quiet, almost tender last line in perfect control was so touching and well done.

Oh dear, yes, such sad news about the earthquake/tsunami. Where are you??? It's so amazing people are all around the world when we can all come together right here, it seems we're all so close. Well, we truly ARE through Adam. MANY positive thoughts and prayers for you and all...

@Cindy - at this point in my life, i feel so blessed to be able to experience the magnificence of a phenomenal vocalist in the person of ADAM MITCHEL LAMBERT. I am also in awe of his humility and compassion that defines what kind of a person he truly is. So what more can i ask from him. He has all the qualities that makes me respect and adore a man. I just want to hear him sing anytime, anywhere and it doesn't have to be perfect all the time. I can't even understand why his imperfections do not make me love him less. Maybe because it makes him more human. I don't know but i just love him so much and that is enough for me.

I'm in Quezon City which used to be the capital of the Philippines. We are very far from the coastal areas facing the Pacific Ocean which would most likely be hit by the tsunami. Residents in those areas have been evacuated already. We are all praying that many countries would not experience what just happened to Japan. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts @Cindy.

Was able to watch the replay of AIS10 on TV and i'm smitten once more. A subdued and heartfelt performance that was able to deliver the message of the song. CONGRATULATIONS ADAM!

I just can't believe the negative comments on here towards Steven Tyler. Just rediculous. Steven is a rock icon, rock legend and a very busy man in the middle of many projects. He's also nearly 63 years old and should be respected for his many great accomplishments in the music industry. It sounds absolutely rediculous to read that some on here seem to think that Steven Tyler should somehow be "star struck" or moved in some way by Adam Lambert. I mean, c'mon people! I love Adam Lambert to pieces but he doesn't come near to the rock legend of Steven Tyler. Besides that, Steven looked very tired all evening, giving his head a shake to stay awake during the final three eliminations. And why shouldn't he be. He's sitting as a judge on a lame ass show when he's an iconic rocker for heavens sake! Yes, he would be better suited for a show like Rockstar INXS or Rockstar Supernova, but American Idol doesn't have that type of image and I doubt that we will ever see that kind rock energy on a show like American Idol (although Adam is the closest I've seen to giving it that spark). So Steven Tyler sits, trying to stay enthused and awake long enough to get through each and every show after looooong days of rehearsals with singers that don't fit his style of music at all. I think he's doing very well considering but I doubt that you will see him as a judge next year. I think if anything, the show has sparked a renewed awakening for him and reminded him just how much his fans love and miss him. So next year, probably more new music and other projects for him, if indeed, he can fight through the chronic pain of his knee injury which he has been struggling with, not to mention the many years of addictions which undoubtedly have taken their toll on his whole body. so let's give Steven Tyler the respect he deserves and Adam Lambert the love and admiration he deserves. But to expect Steven Tyler to somehow be star struck and amazed by a former American Idol contestants is just rediculous and completely disrespectful to both of them.

I love Adam's stripped down look. He looked so gorgeous and yet vulnerable! Such a handsome man. Yes, he did had a little trouble in the beginning but sounded great thereafter.

GRACIAS ADAM!!!

I need to trade my hubby in for a new one. I am totally in love with BB and he wouldn't even watch him on idol last night. What am I gonna do when the GNT DVD comes and I'm blasting it all day. Divorse court here we come lol

I loved Adam's look very appropriate for the song and his reason for singing it. he is an extremely handsome man. I enjoyed this version of Aftermath very much. He changed it up again and it was a very heartfelt and beautiful performance.

@7:19AM, Tyler took the gig.

Steven Tyler kicks ass live and I bet he really enjoyed Adam. He knows a good singer when he hears it. I could see a future collaboration between these two. Adam could even work with the great production team behind alot of Aerosmith hits.

In my very humble opinion, what is maybe most important is to just keep supporting Adam Lambert the best way we see personally fit to. That might be commenting positively and civilly on the more credible blogs, it might be buying a cd for a gift if appropriate, it might be talking up Lambert, within reason, to friends, nieces/nephews, cousins, co-workers, it hopefully will be buying the Aftermath remix, it hopefully will be respectfully requesting the Remix to your local radio stations, especially the Kiss affiliates, it will hopefully be buy purchasing the GNT DVD... but whatever each fan can do in positive support of Adam Lambert is beneficial, because he's going to need it... but he's doing very well so far. Just another person's pov.

Adam really looked the part. Yes he did sing differently tonight. As he said he was singing for this project not for self-promotion. He did not have his ear piece in so he didn't want to sing it perfectly just from the heart for better impact. To do that in front of his Idol (Steven Tyler) and the other contestants on the show indicates how free of ego he can be. Also how much courage he has. He was putting his money where his mouth is, as they say.

@Bing, I read your posts, I read with my heart. I too, love Adam Mitchel Lambert, while still, my husband does not.
I was so worried for Adam before & after his performance, but now, you made me realise , it doesn't matter, I love Adam , & his imperfections just make me love him more. Adam means a lot to me, for me , for my own selfish reasons. Not for my child, not for my husband, but for me.
I love being on Adam fansites, I do get to know other people & I get to know Adam, just as if he was right here, & we were friends.
There's something very special about Adam, & he has a very special purpose on this planet, & we are all here to help him accomplish this purpose.
Thank you Bing, I love your passion! MWAH! K

ADAM "shines as always" and as always, a feature on him and his great vocal talent allows, make a different version of a particular song and keeps the expectations of your audience, how will this new release and we always surprises with its versatility. Do not forget that Adam is a very creative artist in their performance, it is the essence that moves to create and we are fortunate that we have an amazing star that never falls into the musical monotony as with his image will always be consistent with the time and place.
ADAM shows always give us exceptional. THANKS ADAM!

Two good articles/video.. re Adam's performance and other things...I posted on a more recent thread but seems appropriate here too..Both very positive...Adam is just so special! Love him...Someone somewhere called him "Philanthropist Adam Lambert" due to his many charitable activities and his good and generous heart. All good karma for this beautiful man...

Absolutely loved the voice, the song, and Adam's appearance on AI. He looked terrific last night, so handsome without the glitter. I like this look the best. It also goes along with the message being the reason for AFTERMATH...focus on its meaning. I understand he spent time talking to the contestants and taking pictures with them. Who better to talk to them than someone who had been there two seasons ago. His charisma and self-confidence, along with his vocal talent, are qualities that put Adam in a league of his own. It was great seeing him on tv again and maybe we can look forward to a few other appearances to perform AFTERMATH.

As a musician, I have to say that this is the best version of the song. Perfect performance, great band and one amazing voice! I wish I was there, but ... unfortunately, I'm not the lucky one, ... again. Great job, Adam!

I posted this comment on a more recent thread but want to respond to the negative Steven Tyler comments here as well.

Just want to add some info re the Steven Tyler thing: A good friend of mine attended the Idol taping, and she said ST and all of the judges greeted Adam VERY warmly. Trying to imagine what ST was thinking, just by looking at the feed we see from TV doesn't tell the whole story..My friend also said that Adam was just SO nice to everyone after his performance, hugged all of the Idol contestants, and was his beautiful sweet self. She also said Diddy **didn't** talk to anyone after his performance and just stalked off the stage..not so much as a backward look or greeting to anyone. I prefer to think that Steven Tyler was just really studying Adam very closely while he was listening to him. I don't think we should assume that he was being negative at all. Adam's performance was stunning as usual and I'm quite sure everyone there, including Steven Tyler, thought so too.

I live in West Coast and I paid attention to comments coming from East Coast viewers on Twitter and MJs blog. Read that few didn't like his performance and I thought OMG is it possible I won't like it too. When I saw his performance on my HD surround sound T.V. IT WAS HEAVEN. HE SOUNDED FABULOUS AND LOOKED GORGEOUS. Then I said to myself what the hell were these people talking about that he wasn't good. His performance definitely was different that his GNT performance. But still it was incredible to me at least. I watched again today and I still think he did a fabulous job. Maybe some don't like Adam's softer side. I checked iTunes and Amazon and he is doing really good on the sales side of his CDs and DVD.

Adam looked AMAZING !!! It was a great treat to see and hear him perform on Idol with Tommy Joe, Monte and Isaac. They always bring incredible joy to the universe.

YAYAYY...so gald to hear that! Cds & dvd are doing well?? AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting that.

Hope Adam's genuine, natural appearance and voice last night as well a his delivery and message were heard by tons of new folks who'll join his fan base.

I think ST was captivated by Adam...mesmerized...like we all are. He may also have been thinking how strong Adam is as a human being to get on TV in front of millions and sing a song that empowers youth to be who they are...specifically LGBTQ. Doesn't anyone else acknowledge that this was huge and Adam really has abundant courage is this homophobic society.

Way to go Adam! And he sounded AMAZING!

I did a mistake. I read the comments before watching the video. It started ok, but as so many times before on this site, the gloom and doom took over. Adam was out of tune, strained, tired, even boring. He got picked apart piece by piece and the "judges hated it". That seemed to be the most important thing: Steven Tyler did not aprove! And delilah sweetheart, who earlier blamed AMA for the fact that Adam has missed out on some awards, now think this performance is worse than AMA, and Adams career is over because Steven Tyler didn´t like it!!? I nearly didn´t dare watch the video. I felt sick and sad. But I watched. Adam f***ing Lambert, more beautiful than ever singing his heart out with a message. The judges WERE clapping. If I hadn´t read all this nonsens about Tyler, I would never had thought about their reactions. OMG! Who the hell cares what Steven Tyler is thinking? Adams career is NOT depending on that. Is it impossible for us just to enjoy this glorious man and NOT analyze his every move and note. I believe Adam enjoyed his evening on Idol and luckely there are good reviews out there for him to read and hopefully he won´t read this. Although some posts were great and people got that this song had an important message, it was not Adam showing off for Steven Tyler.

who in the hell cares what st thinks about adam. we care about him and his music. this stripped down aftermath was so good. he doesn't have to do this song the same every time. even when he was touring it wasn't the same every night. i know iwent to 25 of his concerts here and across the pond. stop downgrading him. he is wonderful just the way he is.

@Eva 1:55pm You right, darling. I know it was wrong to make a comment that ST did or didn't like Adam. I just wanted it so much, because I know Adam wants it a lot.
I was very sad because I expected this reaction of ST and JLo. And I felt terrible about it.
I love Adam's look, his performance, his angel voice, everything about our boy, you know me. And I got one more lesson, don't make any negative comments. It will not help our golden heart boy.
We have press for negative comments.

Adam's heart is huge and also his humanity. He is a pro in every sense of the word and always delivers. As far as Steven Tyler and judges, I wasn't going to comment, other than immediately after Adam's segment they had to address the eliminations which isn't something that I think anyone would relish. Who would want to crush a hopeful's dreams? Things aren't always as they seem on the surface, which came to light later from fans that were there. Bottom line, Adam did the Trevor Project a great service with a beautiful song, beautiful voice, sung by a beautiful man...funbunn40

You are ok honey. But you should take another look at the video. I´m not sure ST didn´t like Adams performance. He looked like he was concentrating on what he heard. Remember, it was a song with a message not a rap crap performance. Anyway, who cares?
delilah, read all the nice reviews and you will feel much better. I know you care about Adam, perhaps you take it too seriously. Adam is love and light and he will do just fine. Love you!:)
