I already have the DVD. Should I get the Bluray? Anyone getting this even though you have the DVD?

I have DVD, but after watching some movies on my Bluray player (after watching them before as regular DVD) I'm tempted to splurge on Bluray HD edition.

Adam's concerts are already iconic. I recently saw Gaga, Perry and was extremely disappointed. Lots of fluff but very few good vocals. Gaga was good at the piano, but too much talk and too much talking about how everyone put her down and look how successful she's been--yadayadayada, too much nothing. It became boring. Perry is still Minnie Mouse to me. Save your money.

Don't save on Adam Lambert's DVD. I wish I could buy hundreds of them and spread around the happiness and fun. This is better than the concert because you can see and hear. Of course there's nothing like having eye sex with the man himself, but this is really good. If he's ever given you that "look" you won't forget.

Great comments anon 3:18. I too would love to buy tons of Adam's DVD and give them out. I have bought a couple extra to give as gifts. Because the acoustic CD was inexpensive I bought quite a few. Many new fans came about from listening to his beautiful vocals on it. Unfortunately at the 2 concerts I went to I was not close enough to get eye sex from Adam. I an going to start saving my money so I can get a front row seat for his next tour!

I have the DVD and I'm going to get the BluRay. Although I wish we had the choice to begin with.

Any special or extra features???

Anonymous said...

darn I have to have that one too!!

Since I have blue ray, I'm giving my current one away and buying a couple of the new ones. I always want to have Adam with me :)

Just a side note...I mentioned some time back about taking my FYE into the hair dresser I get my perms from......I'd talked so much about him I wanted to "prove" his voice was special. I left it with her a few days and she played it over and over during the day.

I called yesterday for new perm appointment and she said "Thanks....you started something....now all my customers bend my ear talking about Adam Lambert" I guess they liked what they heard!

I'm sure they are all old girls like me, but their money is good and word of mouth travels far and wide.........why one of you might BE one of those ladies.....is your hairdresser's name Diana?........................JAK

4:08, my hair gal is actually a very good singer and performs regularly in our area. We talk music all the time. I gave her the FYE album and will give her the DVD. She gets Adam. We talk about singers having to have more than a good voice. They have to be artists and sell the performance.

You're welcome CT!

@JAK my sis-in-law who is about as straight laced as they come (or so I thought) told me she wanted to ask for an Adam Lambert CD for her birthday but didn't, sooooo guess what I gave her?!!! She says she is a big fan! We are now planning to go to the next concert together!

I also loaned a CD to a co-worker who said she was really turned off by Adam from AMA's and what lead to his last minute performance change. I told her to give him another chance and loaned her my CD. She left on vacation, so I will have to see what she thinks when she returns. One person at a time!

I will definitely get the BluRay, since I have a BR player..we rent from Netflix and watch all movies on BR..and are really spoiled now. I can think of nothing better (except being there in the front row and in person, having "eye sex" with Adam, and having him touch my hand...) ..............................................(gulp...)...........................................................................................................................................Oooops! Got lost there for a moment! Sorry....anyway, if you can do it, get the BluRay..I already bought one or two or three.....or more DVD's, to give as gifts, like others here, for "educational purposes", of course.

Its interesting that we have that relationship with our hairdressers that we share Adam with them. Mine is very into music, her husband plays in a band, and they go to lots of concerts, and I talk Adam all the time, and have since last year. Gave her the GNT CD a couple of weeks ago, as I didn't have an extra DVD at that time..plan to drop one off tomorrow. Pretty sure she'll be impressed!

Proud of all us fans promoting Adam and opening peoples minds to his music. A lot of people unfortunately never got over the AMA's. Once they hear his beautiful voice most change their mind and get hooked. Sometimes I think we do better than his record company. Maybe he can hire some of us , I myself would work for free to be anywhere near Adam.

@IreneRose, thanks for the link to Michael Sarver. The part about Adam comes at the 5:00 mark. Admire Michael and his willingness to change his opinion about things. More people should be like him. . . . Adamluv

More people will be like Michael and his good heart but it will come slowly. Much too slowly for the people who are hurting right now.

I've lived thru segregation, integration and women's lib, but the latter two still aren't where they should be. Social change moves at a snail's pace.

I've lived a charmed life the deck was stacked for me....it's been easy (except for loss of loved ones). The prejudice that the first members of my family lived thru when they arrived (they were Irish and met with a lot of doors slammed in their faces) has finally faded into history. It amused me when I traveled in Ireland that every pub had a photo of President Kennedy on the wall.....sort of a "local boy makes good" sentiment I guess.

The Times They Are A Changing...but so slowly.

@JAK, thanks for your imput. @daydreamin - loved watching Adam as a mentor on AI. They really welcomed him with open arms and as a reigning champion! Had forgotten all that. Great to be reminded of that and of the awesome job he did with the contestants. And of course, the beginning of WWFM is the.best.evar!!!! Adamluv

I want to change the subject.
I listend accoustic version of "Aftermath" today.
And I thought about all children and teenagers who commited suicied or tried to do it just because they they can't go out of there shell, who are confused, forgotten by friends and parents. And this is not just because of their gender.
I think Trevor Project has to be about all confused and lost in this life children.
My ex-husbanf tried to commit suicide when he was 14 years old. He was confused, his girlfreind left him, his parents never could understood him. They were to busy.
I know many girls and boys who stays in their shells and some of them are in pain till rest of their life. And a lot of them can't be so lonely anymore and want to finish this life very early.
I know, may be some of you will be upset. But I think "Aftermath" has to help all boys and girls who can't find themself in this life. And it doesn't supose to depend from their gender.
delilah5
P.S.This is written to the memory of my ex-husband who passed away few weeks ago and to my best friend's daughter who commited suicide when she was 11 years old. And nobody never can understand what was happen with this beautiful girl

I am going to get the Blu Ray disk....I will give my other to a friend....Blu Ray in terms of quality is much better.....

You know I have a blu-ray player, but I don't see a huge difference with that and High def, BUT now that I know adams GNT is in blue-ray, I have to have that and send the other one to my mother who I was going to send in the mail and make her send it back! Crazy- I just hope this comes out in blu-ray at the walmarts, targets, ect now that I'm giving the other one away. Does anyone know if you can get blu-ray at all these stores?

Anonymous said...

I have never seen any album of Adam's anywhere!
I always look and then ask an employee IF I CAN FIND ONE and always get the same answer "We don't have him!" Sometimes in an unpleasant tone.....one guy made me mad so I said "Oh has he become a serial killer since Idol?"

Sarcasm is wasted on some people....he just said "huh?" I gave up and just order everything thru the fan site....................JAK

@JAK
The Target, Best Buy, and Walmart stores in my area all carry Adam's music..but you have to keep an eye on them to be sure they keep it restocked..I've had to "remind" them to do that! And I've had to be rather specific about this..They always make sure that they have it stocked...so far!

An Adam fan's work is never done!

I've tried all 3 of those places, maybe it's this area..........and I agree a fan's work is never done. I've converted sister in law, youngest daughter and my hairdresser. Not many, but I don't get out much (that sounds kind of "poor me" but it's by choice). I have everything I want at my fingertips!

I have hopes of enlisting my eldest daughter as a Glambert if....BIG IF....Adam's new album has less POP and more ROCK...we do what we can! JAK

@JAK Actually, Adam became serial killer, don't you think so?:)
You can order GNL from Amazon.com. In my little town I can find GNL in any store. It never was advertised, even as new release:(

@ Delilah, So sorry for your ex husbands passing and the 11 yrold that never had time to know life and how it can change for the better. My ex husband had an extremely painful childhood and I think it's why I married him, to fix him. It's not just about being gay. There is so much pain for children and adults that have lost hope. The Trevor Project is a ray of sunlight and hopefully many won't feel so isolated and will find hope and strength. On a lighter note, Adam slays me, "killing me softly with his songs." Hugs to you, Delilah funbunn40

I have the DVD/CD and ordered the blue ray too and then cancelled it, as I read somewhere it was for Australia and something was different and would not work in US. Tech dummy that I am, I guess now I'll reorder on May 10th.@ Glitzylady, Didn't you purchase it in Blueray? You're always so good, keeping us current! I still haven;t seen anything from Charity Water, but poor Adam must have writers cramp! funbunn40

I just ordered blu-ray a few seconds ago on his official web-site. I hope it works here in U.S., your scaring me funbunn40.

Well, he's definitely a "lady killer".

Your comment above touched my heart, I wrote once before about the fact my father was an abused child and ran away from home at 14....there are more shelters and help available for runaways today but how many actually find safe haven? Even if a young body is sheltered and warm does that guarantee their spirit feels the warmth without love? It's still a hard world in so many ways........................JAK

I've gone to 3 Walmarts who said they stock DVDs/CDs according to local interests and 2 told me their demographic was Gospel music. The third just gave me a blank stare. The 2 Targets were just as enlightening and useless. I told all 5 that I would have bought 6, they were losing sales and didn't represent a true demographic. I noticed Rap and a plethora of horror films. Guess they thought they were representing both sides of the spectrum. Frustrating.. funbunn40

I guess considering what he's up against in our country we should be grateful that Adam is selling as well as he does....I also have never heard his music on radio!

Please note TO Whom It May Incense I made no political statement!!!!!!!!................JAK
