The last time as a mother of 3 I innocently asked if Adam new his limits when drinking. This started a firestorm and my post was removed. All of us are concerned and protective of this man that is bringing the world such joy. But he is an adult, and in control of his own life. Can't help it when the Mom mode kicks in.

Agree, Adam is a big boy and can take care of himself. He knows what he needs to do to keep his voice and body healthy. Adam likes to work hard and play hard. It is hard not to have the mom in us kick in because we all love him so much. But we have to believe in Adam and his choices.

anon 9:54, are you trying to troll intentionally, or where did this come from? The post has two pics of underage Adam, not pics f him partying. Or were yo ousted from those threads? Then you should know not to come to the next post to continue your buthurt.

Adam is special, in so many ways. Even as a young child he had those broad shoulders. He is a delightful human. I wish everyone would get to know what a decent man he has become. Love him.

Well as mom we just being concern about our Adam and it's understandable right????

But right now, He is an adult and he knows that his golden voice will be affected if he drinks too much.

He is a very smart and I know in my heart that he will never, never jeopardize his gift......

Just trust him and everything will be okay.
We don't have to panic if we see him drinking, it's really normal especially in the party.....

Since he has touched so many hearts of MOMS we do worry about him. It's only natural. I guess what we need to do is just suffer in silence when we become aware of actions that WE feel might harm him.

I wince frequently at some piece of news about him that sets my MOM ALARM BELLS ringing......
alcohol worries me and frequently when my grandson starts to tell my husband about a new cigar and wine bar he has discovered, he will preface it with "close your ears Grandma, you don't want to hear this!" And I don't!!!!I worry.

I think it is fairly natural for that age group to do some partying - even I did and I am a fairly conservative, quiet person.
Someone who has the personality to put on a live show that really rocks will not be the type to sit home and drink tea and look at their stamp collection. Adam probably went out very little during the US our. Plus Sauli is only here for a week and a half so I'm sure they feel like celebrating.

thanks, Eva for the interesting link about the Alpha male. I don't think we mean the term literally as in a pack of wolves like the author describes. For me, it is just that he exudes male sexuality (duh!), even more than those straight rockers that would wear makeup. Especially also that all eyes would be on him even if there were a lot of males in the room. And in a partnership, he would take the male role.

OK. Adam is not an alcoholic nor do I think he will he ever be. He is a social drinker. It will mess with his liver, but I can find nothing indicating it will screw with his voice.

Remember concerned moms--Adam did about 120 concerts here and abroad in about 6 months, and he never missed ONE. His schedule was grueling; yet he managedeach time. Just look at the record of some other artists, and you will see cancellations.

I was fortunate enough to attend several concerts, and I can assure you that he was wonderful and sang beautifully.

He is enjoying the fruits of his labor. When I was that age, I also spent weekends partying and disco dancing :)) It's all good.

We need to quit harping on the man. I hope he stays grounded and have total confidence he will. As he has said, he is no saint. He is Adam with all his beauty, talent and human-ness.

Adam has a perfectly lovely mother and I think she covers all the bases that he needs from Momdom.

Thanks for the link to The Alpha Male, it was very interesting. I admire Adam's comfort with his feminine side, and I also find him very sexy whether he is showing his feminine or masculine side, it just doesn't matter. Who can really define sexy? I personally think Adam's confidence with who he is as a person is in itself very sexy.

The Alpha Male article is great! I can't think of any other openly gay entertainer who gets analyzed so deeply in the media and by his fans. It's a real sociological phenomanon, if you ask me. I visualize whole books being written about him in the future. Interviewers ask him things that they wouldn't so readily ask most other gay celebrities. Once, the first question he was asked in an interview was, "So, how's your gay-dar?" And he politely answered. This guy is special in every good way there is.

One book has already been written about him, "The Meaning of Adam Lambert". I´m sure there will be more because he IS a phenomenon, not just a fabulous singer.

OK wowsers, stop stressing about Adam's drinking. Adam performed 117 concerts worldwide and there was no way he was inebriated at the concerts I attended. He said in interview that he doesn't drink while he's performing, that he likes to be in control of what he's doing or words to that effect. Adam works hard for the money and he deserves some "down" time, and if that includes alcohol, who are we to deny him what he enjoys.
