The search is over for the most-Googled gay in 2011. Singer Ricky Martin tops the list for most searched gay celebrity in 2011 according to The Advocate.
Here is the Top 5:

Oh in my books this list is wrong!! Adam would be number 1. Number 2 would never touch a list but that is my opinion.

I don't think anyone could take the Number 1 spot away from a gay celeb who had stayed closeted for years, produced 2 adorable twins, then "came out". That's hard to beat!
Closeted is a horrible term isn't it? It must feel like solitary
confinement. I wish we could wish away that expression and the need for it! Maybe someday!

Sorry, no Adam dreams, my brain was busy writing Irish limericks all night. It seems to have a "mind" of it's own! One of my

@4:40 That's great. Last I looked it was I think #38. What is it now? Maybe it wasn't updated when I checked. I think it will soar once radio play and promo start!
It went up to 34 and now it's at 38. Something pushed it up couple of spots. Someone who has time can check how the other singles (not albums) on iTunes pop banner are doing compare to BTIKM. I know that Flo Rida single isn't charting. A different single of his is charting. It would be nice to know how other singles with release date on iTunes pop banner are doing comparatively. Anyone is up to do this homework?

A lot of people don't know about Adam's new single because its not on the radio yet. So word of mouth to your friends to buy it on itunes will help keep it on the chart.
I know radios look at what's charting on iTunes. If BTIKM gets a good push for whatever reason, radios will play his single. That's why he is tweeting about it. We have to gift it. Unfortunately we can't do multiple single downloads anymore. It won't effect the charting. We have to gift it in order for it to chart. Maybe we can gift it to each other in order for it to chart!?
PH's 3# place on this list is misleading because he is a blogger. People google his name to read about what he has written about OTHERS. The top google site takes you to his blog site. People are not really interested in learning about him at all but are responding to his "reports."
Who in the world is following that lying idiot Perez Hilton? Must be some sad hateful people...
Personally I think the whole idea of most googled gays is insulting. Why are they put in a special category?
Are there categories for most googled deaf, most googled redheads, most googled accountants, most googled , well, you know! Waste of time, like most polls.
It'll chart once the promotion really gets going. I'd love to see Adam back on Ellen's show. She loves him.

Well, I for one, wouldn't mind "googling" Adam. LOL.
Dont know about McQueen, Jacobs nor PH but everyone else on that list, unlike Adam, were in the closet 10-15 years or more into their careers. They were well known, popular and successful before coming out. Lt. Dan Choi is in a class by himself having served his country under the DADT policy. ... Adamluv
