I must admit that this kind on song does not turn me on not even when Adam sings it. Is this funky?

Anonymous said...

I think you love or hate this song and that's why it's not a hit material.

Anonymous said...

I like this version of Trespassng the best,so far..anom,1:23.,do you like any of the new songs so far?we'd rather have a variety of different songs, wouldn't you?Pop songs are what sells albums today.Adam has already had 2 that aren't really, but sorta pop( BTIKM)& OOL...both beautiful to me..the other 3 are just fun dance type songs.I guess you could say Trespassing is funky; What do you other fans think?

Anonymous said...

1:43 AM I think OOL is VERY beautiful and heart touching, not a hit material though, but definately it touch and will touch many peoples hearts! Adam's voice in BTIKM it's just beatiful but the song itself it's unfortunately boring. It's lack that something which is in WYWFM.

Anonymous said...

Trespassing is further proof that Adam can sing anything. But why waste such a gifted treasure of a voice singing just "anything" mediocre pop singers could gimmick up?

I cannot stop watching this vid! Adam's raw talent just shines through. He oozes with rhythm and that's why watching him move and groove to the beat is completely mesmerizing for me.....not to mention the VOCALS are fantastic! What a talent! Definite hit in my opinion .

I am not yet wowed with any of the songs on the new album. I loved all of the songs on For Your Entertainment.

Anonymous said...

Not sure he's going in the right direction with this new album. I am disappointed.

Anonymous said...

I want to hear Chockhold...again and again...

I love FYE and like at least half a dozen songs on that cd more than BTIKM. I really like all the new songs but BTIKM is at the bottom of the list for me...and I would only say this anonymously for fear of decapitation.

Adam had a listening party for the studio versions of his songs in Chelsea NYC a couple of nights ago and took a vote. According to one of the attendees, the majority vote was for Trespassing.(The listener in question said he voted for OOL).

Trespassing may not be to everyone's taste but it's instantly catchy, IMHO, which is what is needed for a song to succeed on the radio. It also draws on several distinctly different music genres including Broadway, Rockabilly and Rap. Only possible when someone like Pharrel sits down with someone like Adam. A rare musical fusion.

Obviously I am biased about this song but he UK DJ's also liked it a lot, too.

We also haven't heard the studio version, which may make me change my mind.

Anonymous said...

Amazing, only Adam could sing this song live. No male singers I know could do this and not get out of breath, you never hear Adam taking deep breaths, his control is just out of this world. We are not used to hearing him sing this type of song but the more you hear it it will get to you.

Anonymous said...

5:16 - I'm actually quite excited about the songs so far but I get your point. Differing musical tastes will always pose a problem for Adam's fans because he is always going to be experimenting and trying out different genres. He's very versatile and his tastes are so diverse that, at any given time, some of us are going to be disappointed with his choices.

When he finished Idol I made myself a promise: to stick it out with him past one cd that didn't appeal. If he disappointed me once, I would still buy the next cd 'cos you never know what might come out next time around.

Anonymous said...

5:39 - that's it! The vocals are awesome and the lyrics, too.

Anonymous said...

NICE!!!!!

This is just my opinion. Whataya Want From Me wasn't my favorite, it grew on me. I instantly loved Aftermath and Voodoo. The first time I heard Better Than I Know Myself I liked it. Even though the album cut of Trespassing hasn't released I love it and I find myself humming it while working.

This version of Trespassign really shows Adam's incredible vocal ability AND his ability to make any music style he sings REALLY WORK! He infuses this version with funky blues sounds and inflections. He does it effortlessly and with the right about of swagger and confidence. He takes risks and usually hits the mark perfectly. I know we all have different tastes. I happen to like eveything I've heard from
the new album so far. It's only a matter of time before we'll have all the new songs in our minds and hearts just like we did with FYE.
Sure, I like some songs on FYE better than others, too, but they are all part of my soul. Trespassing promises to have the same effect, I truly believe. When we hear the actual CD versions of the songs, we can decide what we like the best. Keep in mind, Adam will change things up all the time, esp. on tour. I LOVE that about him! There's not a boring bones in his body.

Well, I'm not fond this song. I do like to see him sing Live..saw the Glam Nation tour but just not feeling it yet for this CD so far.

Anonymous said...

WOW!!That's absolutely perfect.Aside that if you like or not like the song (which I LOOOVE) it's the way he sings it!!He's voice is amazing! The notes he hit!!You can't take your eyes from him( Adam dear, could you from time to time leave, ramdomly...1 or 2 unbotton botton from the bottom or top of you shirt, please? Thanks! It was difficult to see anyething with such movement, you know...
JB, I have the same problem, I can't sit!! I've tried chair-dance but no...

BTIKM #11 on VH1 countdown. The leap of the week.

Anonymous said...

Keep up the voting and give BTIKM mv some views on vevo.

Some of you who has little faith about Adams going to new direction means he is not the type of your musician indeed.

As for the rest of us whatever he chooses and makes him happy and content we are always to support him.

As a loyal fan, thru thick and thin I'll support him all the way.

His talent is not forgettable....

Adam has this amazing voice and charisma but still waiting songs from him that are bigger than life.

Anonymous said...

I don't think BTIKM is boring at all. I much prefer it to WWFM.

I want to hear all of Naked Love. I love the snippet.

Anonymous said...

I could be entirely wrong but I think one person has posted a number of times on this topic.

I love love love this song!!! It perfect...reminds me of everyone who thinks you should be this or that...instead be yourself...above that love the beat...def tell this a Phraell song ...things got legs!!!

Anonymous said...

To each his own,but I LIKE all of the new songs--some better than others,but..Again,pop is what sells now.Look @ katy Perry for example..I think Adam is smart to go in the direction he's going now.On FYE,I had to listen for a while to decide about all the songs on there.I liked all the live versions better.Adam was so rushed so much recording it,but still came up with a pretty darn good album.# 11 is good for the Vh-1 top 20..Let's move him up to about# 7,6,or higher next week.

Anonymous said...

this is the acostic version, it will be different on the album.
More swag. Good job Adam. Have to sing fast on this one.

Just stopped by briefly to catch up & as usual it's still the same. ADAM should do this ... not the right direction for his music ... this album isn't what I wanted ... well back to VOTING for me!! What do I think of this song? I see a young ELVIS ... same style ... you could tell that ADAM wanted to 'bust loose' but he was holding himself back. I think ALL the songs from TRESPASSING have hit potential ... at least all the ones I'm familiar with. Give the album a chance to speak for itself BEFORE you make any type of judgement!! JMO .. Hooray for BTIKM getting to #11 on VH1. A great leap! I vote every day and will continue. Also voting on the March Madness. Been voting for Adam and also the Foo Fighters.

Love Trespassing!!Something new and fresh with swagger!!Shows Adam can do it all!!Showcases his charisma!!!Love the new direction!!!

BTIKM grew on me; I love it now. Still waiting for Trespassing to do the same. OOL makes me misty-eyed every time I hear it (and I've listened to it a lot) and I can't wait to hear the studio version of Chokehold. But my individual opinions aside, to advance Adam's career, a #1 hit would be great. TO ME it sounded like Naked Love could be that. Maybe even Cuckoo. And of course there are several songs we haven't even heard yet, so being disappointed with Trespassing (the album) seems premature.

Anonymous said...

9:06 AM Agree "a #1 hit would be great".

8:06 and you are so right, she is setting the tone for most threads and her new M.O. is blending in. It's just redic a troll is running this joint.

I really like this song. First time I didn't, but I listened a few more times. Then it grabs you.
Adam has a real gift. Can't get enough!!

Of course, everybody isn't going to like Adam's album but c'mon, people. His first album FYE was fantastic and should have gone double platinum by now. The songs I have heard from the new album sound like the new album will be a winner, too.
All the garbage out there today selling zillions makes me wonder what happened to good taste in music.

Anonymous said...

I've been following Adam's career since the Ama's. It's almost like deja vu experience to watch these videos. History repeating itself, not history in the making. Most adommy fans think Adam and Tommy are ideal together, something they hope to attain. The fact is, they are the adversaries of Adam's current relationship. Adam's boyfriends have never been invisible, but now fans, not the media, want him to hide his relationship. I'm not saying Adam should make a statement of his private relationship with Sauli, because that would make it look like he had to prove something for the enemy, but not completely hide it either.

Comment @11:35 AM was meant to previous thread, sorry.

OOOHHH! I like this! The first time I heard it I wasn't sure because it was done acoustic. Definitely not an acoustic song! It will be great on his concert tour.

Well this just me but I would walk bare foot, over burning coals, with broken glass between my toes, just to watch Adam move he's mouth. If this amazing song, or any amazing song from Trepassing was coming out of that beautiful mouth all the better...anybody care to join me...in spirt of course...Renee

Adam's vocal talent is from another planet! Anything he sings sounds great. I like the funky sound. OOL and Chokehold are beautiful I dance to Cuckoo and Trespassing. It's gonna be an awesome album and will have something for everyone!

Anonymous said...

rule no 1 cant please everybody

glitzylady said...

@Renee
I'm right there with you!

I think this is going to be one amazing album. I like all the songs I've heard so far for various reasons. I am completely mesmerized by "Chokehold" and I am dying to hear the studio version, because I am in love with that song..There is just something about it that really does things to me.. (Not telling what..) I really like both "Trespassing" and "Cuckoo" because they're catchy, dance club ready, and fun..with a message.. "Outlaws of Love" is a gorgeous, emotional, and heartbreaking ballad that comes from the depths of Adam's heart and soul, and reflects the realities of his life as a gay man. "Naked Love" sounds VERY promising, as does "Broken English", and really can't wait to hear "Shady"...etc.. etc..But I digress...

This London showcase version of "Trespassing" is the perfect vehicle to show off Adam's vast body of vocal experience. As others said, Adam can perform any genre of music and excel at it..It highlights his years in various vocal groups when he was in high school..I hear a little jazz and a little funk thrown in..And of course his showmanship...Love it!!

Anonymous said...

Sorry, but I do not like this song.Love BTIKM and I will by his new album, but I am a little disappointed.I love FYE and I love Adam and his voice since Idol but I dont think this will be a hit.

Anonymous said...

So glad Adam doesn't pay attention to his detractors. His whole being
screams "I'm fantastic and I know it", and thank God he's following his instincts, because no matter what, he is always able to reconcile the light with the dark in his very riveting journey. Balance is what we achieve when we deal with life's viscissitudes with elan, something I admire him so much for, because that attitude is where Trespassing comes from. People will come around to seeing this, and the transformational Adam will be buoyed to the pinnacle of artistic success, I promise. atm

Anonymous said...

At first I didn't think so, but now I wonder if Trespassing song is about the post Ama frustration. If it is, I wish he could leave it..

Anonymous said...

Adam is the greatest singer/performer in the world. But he needs a hit SONG––one that will catch the attention of those aren't fans. Is Trespassing really good dance music? Maybe for the quickstep on Dancing with the Stars, but isn't it too fast for the normal dance floor? Maybe the studio version will offer a beat that's missing in the acoustic presentations. I love the variety that the song will offer the collection and it will be fun when he performs it on tour. OOL is ethereal, but maybe too beautiful (otherwise, why didn't they release Soaked as a single?) But it seems to me that CHOKEHOLD was an immediate grab for the majority of us––the song that stopped our breath and made us melt instantly on the spot.

Administrator: maybe it's time for another poll? One in which we can only vote once? It might help Adam choose. :)

Anonymous said...

Completely off topic. I see by Adam's schedule that he will be in Kansas City on Mon 3-19 visiting several radio stations. I was just watching the Evening News on TV and they were talking about tornados and severe weather in Kansas on Sunday and Monday - especially the Kansas City area. I am so upset, I know I will not sleep tonight for worrying. Does anyone else worry about our BB like I do?

Anonymous said...

I think that whatever song Adam chooses for his next single, it has to be radio-friendly,high energy, and one that makes you want to move, to get up and dance. It must catch the attention of the non fans and the naysayers. From the songs we have heard so far through the vids shown, I really like Cuckoo and Chokehold. Outlaws of Law is so beautiful, ethereal and special but would never make it on the radio esp. because of the lyrics and their meaning. I like the direction of this new album; Adam seems to have spent a lot of time working on the songs, with collabs and producing it. If he and his record co. are happy with its overall sound and direction, I guess we should be also. Adam Lambert is just such a special, unique talent, that he will never please all of the listening audience or all of his fans. At least we can agree that Adam is never boring or uninteresting, and he certainly engages all of us in some striking comments. I have been a fan since day one on AI and am looking forward to listening to the full album when it is released.

Anonymous said...

The best trespassing ever, love the energy and the groove of the song and of course love the moves and vocals from Adam. I must also admit I am addicted to chokehold. So all in all I am loving the new Adam and CD, he definitely knows how to keep the edge and change up,make it fresh. Truth be told I am tired of same old same old from Katie Perry and others, this new Adam CD will be a great change of pace and a new flavor that is lacking from todays music.

Anonymous said...

Anon 4:02 I think those of us of a certain age worry about Adam in a motherly way. To worry about him obsessively is not healthy. I have a creedo and it goes like this: If something MIGHT happen that I have NO control over, I refuse to worry myself sick about it.

Adam's "people" are not going to put Adam or themselves in danger's way. Give them credit for having a few smarts.

Anonymous said...

4:02 I'll be fretting over that too, I am 27yo and it is just my nature to worry but 4:57 comment is right on.

Anonymous said...

I also agree that there is something lacking in today's music from anon @ 4:47. Most of the songs you hear on the radio are repetitious, boring, and sheer garbage from singers who need all types of auto tuning and technical additions to sell it. None of them could do acoustic versions of their songs the way Adam does at these promos. Many of them can't even speak two intelligible sentences together in an articulate manner as does Adam. I suppose if you look at the demographic of the listening/music buying audience, you might understand the reason that the garbage that passes as music sells today. Hopefully Adam will change this withthe release of TRESPASSING and from radio play of his next single.

Anonymous said...

@ 12:33 you are correct, "you can't please everybody". Check out Adam's friend Nikka Costa's song, "Can't Please Everybody". Just love her!

Of course Adam is #1.

JAK here........at long last my comments will print again....that makes me happy, some others, maybe not so much!

Renee and glitzylady I will join you on the hot coal stroll! I like all the songs we've heard so far, I think they are fresh and original. And Chokehold...Well...
it "does it" for this old gal.

Adam's incredible!!! Wow. No one can do what he just did here, his vocal acrobatics a mind-blowing sexy visual treat. Couldn't take my eyes off this powerhouse of a performance. Could anyone else move with such swagger, hotness, and attitude? Love, love, love Trespassing, and can't wait to groove to it.
