After listening to this studio version of NCOE, I think it will be a hit for Adam. It's high energy, upbeat...danceable. I just wanted to get up from this seat at the computer and move to it. If those radio execs picked this as their choice for Adam's next single, I certainly hope that we will hear it on the radio on a regular rotation basis.

If this one doesn't hit, he never will. We'll see if the good ole boys give him some slack finally.

I like this song, but I'm angry. I had a conversation with our local radio station manager the other day. I asked for BTIKM. He said he would not play it. I asked why and he said because it wasn't a hit. I asked how he knew that if he's never played it. How could he judge what people would like once they heard it. I told him he was killing possibilities. Personally, I just think he's a homophobe and has issues. Adam deserves better than that. People, call your radio stations and request this song EVERY DAY. They will have no choice.

@4:20 - I asked someone with a local radio station why they weren't playing BTIKM and he said cause it hadn't charted high enough..however, now I hear it every day..altho not as often as the crappy mess they play..(Adele excepted)..the music scene today is woefully lacking an audience with any inkling as to what true talent and artistry is...it makes me sad and mad..but..I do really feel that Adam will be around for a long time to come..

OMG Adam is soooo loved internationally! Mind you after reading the last few posts regarding radio stations, many of which I know of in the US, it is shameful! Meanwhile the passion for Adam all over the world rises every single day! I even moved into my new house recently and my neighbors were cranking up the sounds of The Adam and loving it!

Well we are always puzzled and frustrated about the lack of love and airplay in America. After all these promo's hoping Adam now will take off like wildfire.

Okay, about the youtube "views" not changing..It will. For some reason that 308 or 304 number appears for while with all vids on Youtube it seems (I have no clue WHY) and then all of a sudden updates to the actual number of views..The same thing happened with the BTIKM music video too...and many other things...I'm sure the number is MUCH higher. With all the people watching it today..there is no way its that low. Have faith that it WILL change.. : ))

I hate to say one critical word about Adam because I love his voice and who he is as a person. But, I've got to say it in hopes he will read it: His is THE most beautiful, pure, versatile voice of our times IMO so why WHY do his producers drown it out with those thumping, monotonous electronic noises? NCOE is a lovely song with beautiful lyrics but I have a hard time hearing the words or the nuances of his voice. The acoustic version made me want MORE. This one makes me want to turn it off. OK, I like this version a lot better than the version that was posted on 24/7 earlier, but not as much as the accoustic version (which is breathtaking).

@Beverly This is Music Industry and media will love this version of NCOE. By the way I wasn't impressed by accoustic performance of NCOE.

I don't like acoustic because I can see acoustic performers on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica everyday. Anybody can do acoustic and it sucks big time to me. I love huge production with great vocals. I die for dubstep and anything that's new and creative. Can't stand generic stuff and Adam isn't generic. He is young and he loves new sounds with great production. Acoustic is so boring to me. Radios don't play it. So some of you who like acoustic just listen to it when it's available but don't push your outdated opinion to Adam's radio success.

I think this time RCA Radio Promo guy should do his homework for radios to play Adam's music. I know the guy who is in charge of it used to work for Jive and now he is in charge of RCA Radio Promo. Remember he didn't do much for Kris and Allison when both got record deal with Jive. Remember Allison cried at her last opening on GNT telling Jive that she did everything they asked her to do and even more. I'm absolutely confused why someone like Adam who earned his right in music industry for the past couple of years his music isn't played by radios. I hear my HAC radio either plays old 80s music or music of new comers with only 50,000 followers on twitter and having an EP of 7 songs on their first album on iTunes. Totally ridiculous. I SAY IF RADIOS DON'T PLAY NCOE WE SHOULD SHOW THEM SOMETHING THAT THEY'LL NEVER FORGET.

All I can say is radio DJ's or suits or who-ever blocks adam constantly and plays this non-stop crap- better play this song!!! Don't know what to do, read requesting, ect somewhere from a radio dj makes no difference! What does make a difference then??? Us glamberts are fighting a 3 year battle with the best singer on the planet and I for 1 will never give up!! It just mind-boggles me the reconzition some of these artists get today and shoot to #1. Also don't mean to bring up this thread but curious, what did you all think of James durbin performance on idol tonight??? Jenifer hudson looked gorgeous and JD- well IMO I hated the screaming heavy metal- I much prefer his softer side- but with his blond hair and all, he has become a more seasoned performer IMO.

Sorry, did not like JD's performance. He def has the look of a heavy metal singer but I don't really think this song showed his range and all that he might be able to do with his voice. Hated the screaming at the end.....hurt my ears. He's no where near the caliber of Adam. LOL!

Ok. Got a little curious and did some research.

I don't know if you know the story of Celine Dion in the beginning of her career. She was becoming a multi-platinum selling artist around the world in 1985-1993 while the USA was rejecting her sales wise. So it almost TOOK 10 YEARS FOR THE BIGGEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME TO ATTAIN A FIRM POSITION ON THE US CHARTS.

Adam's story right now seems a little similar. The numbers I'm going to post right now are his sales figures up until Nov 26, 2010 and he had already gone platinum both for his album and his singles by then. HE HAD SOLD A WHOOPING 4,727,914 UNITS IN GENERAL (ALBUMS + SINGLES) WORLDWIDE, UP UNTIL NOV 2010 ! That's an amazing feat for a new artist with considerably less promo than the big names back then.

No wonder his company is eager to support him still after the slight disappointments in the US. HIS SELLING BIG ABROAD. His strongest bases seems to be Australia, Canada and the UK, which the latter one has the hardest market to crack but with a moderate promo Adam has managed to make himself pretty popular over there. The Queen concerts will help him immensely in his success there. UK ACTUALLY IS SAID BY THE EXPERTS TO BE A VERY IMPORTANT MARKET BECAUSE IT IS SLIGHTLY INFLUENTIAL ON AUSTRALIA AND AND OTHER ENGLISH TALKING COUNTRIES AROUND THE GLOBE AND YET 'VERY VERY INFLUENTIAL ON THE EUROPEAN CHARTS' !!! Actually talking about Celine Dion, she has garnered many of her early and ongoing successes on the UK charts.

After that the Asian countries of course have had a HUGE ROLE to play in his fame over there (many tnx to them) but they have a lesser population than the mentioned countries.

In fact as pointed out by Cookiebr8 RCA has done their best to obscure Adam's success.

And an interesting discussion about the ongoing problem we have always had with RCA from two years ago about announcing Adam's total sales:

-Platinum sales can be reached by counting the amount of albums SHIPPED MINUS RETURNS...that is how it is written in the RIAA website. Lots of people have been certified as platinum that have not actually SOLD one million. If they wanted to, RCA could apply for platinum status for FYE and get it. When asked about this long ago, I remember the mod here, Ed, saying that they would hold the album to a higher standard, meaning that they aren't going to apply for platinum certification based on amounts shipped.

If Cookiebar8 is correct why is RCA using a higher standard for Adam than RIAA requires? What standard do they use with other artist? Just how many Adam Lambert albums have been shipped in the US? Has it been over a million? If Adam reached 1,000,000 album sales internationally in July, 2010 and we are at the end of January, 2011 I would like to know the total of Adam's international sales now. Shouldn't RCA answer these questions?

According to this press release Adam sold nearly 2 million copies of FYE album to-date worldwise. As I recall from RCA Ed, he mentioned most artists don't seek out for certification cause of expenses and they would rather use that expense to promote and make music instead of getting a plaque. Remember Adam works strategically. I'm sure at the right time he'll get his plaque who knows maybe he'll get it when he performs at AI next month. Rumor on twitter says he'll perform on 5/17. I know we have a lot of unanswered questions and in-time we'll find out. For now as fans let's concentrate to promote Adam's new single and share it with others.

So 2 mil, huh? That's really fantastic. Interesting thing about the expenses. I didn't know about that but it completely makes sense. I too am waiting eagerly for the AI performance, hope he kills it. Not in an "acoustic Aftermath" way which of course was impeccable, but in a "born to be wild - ring of fire" kind of way that, you know, somehow gets everybody - everywhere - talking about it in its next days. It'll be a huge boost for the album.

I think that once the European and other overseas markets hear the entire Trespassing album, they will not think that Adam has toned himself down too much. Granted, NCOE is pretty tame, but the rest of the album has plenty of edgy, risky songs. Something for everyone, no matter where they live!

@1:40PM 5/15. On 4/17 you can pre-order Trespassing Deluxe on iTunes to get a free download of NCOE. Also in order to chart NCOE most fans will buy NCOE single on iTunes on 4/17.

But Deluxe and Regular Trespassing album should be available on iTunes on 5/15.

I read a Billboard article about a month ago that had Adam as selling 1.2m albums in the US. I also saw a link to a website that had all Idols, their albums and singles sold, can't for the life of me remember where I saw it though. But Adam had not had any of his songs officially certified even though the album and WWFM had gone platinum (WWFM nearly double platinum as it was 1.8m), IIHY had gone gold, inching towardsplatinum, and FYE heading towards 400,000 sold.

on topic, absolutely love NCOE, hope its a huge hit. I also loved BTIKM (prefer this eras singles so far), there is no reason that wasn't a hit apart from radio play, I', sure if people actually had the chance to listen to it they would have brought it.

I'm an international fan and I certainly don't think Adam has toned it down. Trespassing (single) has toned it up and then there's the absolutely gorgeous Naked Love. <3

What the blazes happened to the full promo of 'BTIKM'? It came out in full force internationally and then after radio play it fizzled.
Plus the music video disappeared totally and then many places didn't even get any promo at all from SONY, whom I always loose faith in thesedays! Prehaps it was just a tester for more to come but heavens above when are we going to see some exitement and zest from Sony when it comes to Adam? WHEN? They even lacked on Glam Nation love and yet passionate Glamberts were fierce with their love and self promotion for Adam!
...And yes, we are not dumb about the industry! Yah, for Glambert power!
