He looked so gorgeous and happy!
It kept cutting out on me, but I am so glad to have it available to watch. I can't find anything from Chicago that is decent quality and sound. Thanks for posting this!

Off Topic..but EXCELLENT 5 STAR Review of DELUXE TRESPASSING here:

From E-Music:

"Deftly idiosyncratic razzle-dazzle with an operatic intensity"

Trespassing (Deluxe Version)
Adam Lambert
5 Stars *****

"What does a major singer do with a style designed for minor ones? A singular talent who got his break on a show crazy with copycats, Adam Lambert can deliver deftly idiosyncratic razzle-dazzle with an operatic intensity that would leave the average rocker gasping for air. Yet he presents it in dance-pop full of studio distractions that ordinarily disguise negligible talents whose greatest ability is looking good.

Expressing his individual inner self in a pop machine designed to flaunt the interchangeably anonymous is the challenge he faces on Trespassing, the follow-up to his 2009 debut For Your Entertainment. That’s also the subtext of the Pharrrell Williams-collaborated title track, which examines obstacles put in the path of outsiders whose destiny is the mainstream. Kindred infiltrators like Bruno Mars, Nile Rodgers and Sam Sparro help Lambert create a masculine, more aggressive variant on the techno-pop that’s typically a girl’s game. His virile voice doesn’t need all the processing it undergoes in “Never Close Our Eyes” and other singles, but the sonic fortification affirms Lambert can be as be as vocally androgynous as he wants to be and still sound Top 40-friendly. Nevertheless, it’s the slower, more sensual cuts like “Broken English” and “Outlaws of Love” that best showcase his inimitable wail. “They say we’ll rot in hell, well I don’t think we will,” he groans in the latter, leaving no doubt what’s on his mind"

@Magiclady - cant find anything decent either from the Chicago show except for 1 video of his introduction and the audience going BSC!!!! (First song is Trespassing and what a great way to start the show). The audiences response reminded me of the Idol tour and the screaming "heard round the world" when he first hit the stage. . . . @glitzylady
Thanks so much for posting the links and the interview - so great!! Really appreciate all you do for us on Adam 24/7.

The KISS concert video "jumped" around from time to time on my computer but it was soooooooo well-worth seeing/hearing. There's only one thing amiss - Adam's backing vocals are pitchy at the start of Naked Love. Maybe it would be better if Adam started the song himself. Please don't regard that as complaining. I ALWAYS have Adam's best interests at heart.

@Anon 11:45 PM
There were some big sound issues at the KISS show..Adam was visibly frustrated at times..but powered through, being the consummate professional that he is..The sound mix was not always good, especially at first and the balance was off..but got better as it went along... The sound mixer on the sound board seemed to be having problems. All of Adam's other shows and performances have been really excellent. My understanding is that they didn't get to do a sound check beforehand..He was still the best of the best. I watched the live stream while doing some other things..and up until Adam came on, the show was a bit boring but as soon as he started, the energy level really ramped up...Hoping his next concert experience is perfect for him..and for the whole band..I thought it was great for the most part..

Just finished watching....so good. Heard from several sources that there were sound issues too.

Adam nailed it again! If there was some sound issues I didn't notice them, because Adam's own performance was very good and again he really took the audience :) I believe people were satisfied with what they got :))

Thanks to who ever posted this.
Loved it! Thought the girls were fantastic and Tommy Joe shone on that guitar!
If there we're sound issues Adam would not have been pleased for sure. He is a perfectionist.

Anonymous said...

I watched the live stream, there was few sound issues but no big deal and he sounded great most of the time to me. I just hoped he did not break down Cuckoo at the end, it lost its excitement, my favorite dance track. Honestly, he needed better guitarist to achieve the level of studio version for some , songs. Overall, the concert was great and I loved it.

So frustrating, I've been so looking forward to watching this concert, but what is wrong with the video it keeps stopping every few seconds. So annoying to see bits and pieces of Adam and what appears to have been a fantastic concert. Has anyone else had these same issues? It's a waste of time streaming this to us if we can't watch the dam thing properly. 24/7 get your act together. How are new fans supposed to get to know Adam and enjoy his artistry if they can't watch these video's properly.

Anonymous said...

@1:55 am I agree that Cuckoo has a great hook and energy and I don't like it broken up either. I'm not sure what song would be better for band intro unless he brings If I Had You back out to concerts. Really enjoying my cd! ILOVE 'POP THAT LOCK'!!! Underneath is getting worn out from repeat play -love it. KEEP BUYING and GIFTING :)

Anonymous said...

This video is on
adamtopia.com with a lot less sound issues.

Anonymous said...

I agree "Cuckoo" should not be broken down . needs to use another song for announcing band . but it was GREATTTTTTTT over all

Anonymous said...

@2.52 AM Thanks a lot, I tried adamtopia.com it's much better, appreciate your help.

Six days and I will be seeing Adam

got my glowsticks (night concert) we are making our t-shirts today . . as Adam would say "I'm cocked and ready to go"

The best thing about thouse concerts is that there are lots of NEW people, that means NEW fans for sure!!Adam is the best in LIVE concert, and probably they also gomma buy the album and they gonna love it!!I also saw lots of young people having a great time, thta's really good, they are a very important part of the music consumers and that proves that they also appreciate talent, good songs and good singer, not only that BOOM BOOM "music".btw...Adam always giving good advises about the music volume!! LOL!!!

Anonymous said...

I wish the same on Cuckoo - go out with a bang and have them wishing for more.

Question: After Shady did he say "Too low" or "Too slow"? IMHO it was a bit slower than it sounds on the cd.

HK fan said...

Have had a lovely Adam weekend on my tv, managed to catch him 4 times on Idol (they repeat it a lot here), followed by a slightly abridged GNT concert, a couple of viewings of BTIKM video on channel V, and a short interview and BTIKM clips :)

For those having trouble with the Video:

Try this version: No starting and stopping issues: Link below.

Note: I agree that the Vimeo version of the concert posted on this thread for some reason has problems with starting and stopping..Please DO NOT blame the administrator of the blog here ..Its the vid itself. Here is ANOTHER VERSION, one that I posted on another thread earlier, before the Vimeo one came out, which I posted as well yesterday. The Vimeo one is the one that is posted on the Adam Lambert Fans website. This one below, a more "private" you tube version, doesn't have the same issues with starting and stopping. It is still a copy of theKISS Live stream, which I watched directly from the KISS 108 website, live, as it was being streamed and the sound and picture were slightly out of sync anyway. And the sound issues that Adam was having in the venue, with sound mixing, were actually happening. It had nothing to do with the video.

Try this one..it doesn't start and stop.

Thanks Anon 2:52 AM. I'll watch the concert again on adamtopia. This version kept stopping and starting and I agree with Anon 11:45 PM that the backing vocals at the start of Naked Love were off key. They did the same with Naked Love at another concert (i Heart Radio). However, Adam sounded his ABFAB SELF as usual. :D

glitzylady said...

Well shoot!! I just posted an ALTERNATIVE VERSION of this video, one that doesn't start and stop, (which is NOT 24/7 admins fault, by the way..) and I came back and it has disappeared, most likely to the "spam file", which happens once in awhile...I'll post the vid link again..My original post will eventually show up again no doubt, when admin finds it later on today!

Link to an ALTERNATIVE VERSION to Adam's 30 minute set on the KISS 108 Concert:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNaDoRuY2wg&feature=youtu.be

Note that there were some sound mixing issues within the venue which made the sound balance not quite even at times and which Adam was probably not happy with, but may not have been a problem or noticeable in reality to the 20,000 concert goers...Great concert and so fabulous to see him performing these new songs from Trespassing, and hearing WWFM again.

Anonymous said...

I didn't recognize Shady until part of the way through the song. At first, I thought it must've been a new song Adam wanted to surprise us with! I guess there must've been some sound issues happening there.

Anonymous said...

I watched the live stream and was so excited. Adam killed it. Yes a few sound problems but doubt the crowd noticed. We are probably the ones that notice because we listen to everything he does. I am sure he is gathering lots of new fans with these concerts. He looks so happy singing his new music!

Anonymous said...

Blaming 24\7 for your sound issues when you try to watch. And dissing Tommy's guitar playing. Not cool!!!

Anonymous said...

Hi everyone, if any of you have been having problems viewing Adam's Kiss concert, I found a great video the link is:
www.ustream.tv/recorded/22706548

hope this helps. Adam was fantastic, some sound issues as already mentioned but still a great performance.

Anonymous said...

Even with the sound issues, Adam was still great. He looked terrific and really seemed happy performing the songs from the new album and then WWFM. I watched the live unstream and it did cut in and out once or twice, but overall if was fine. Anytime I can see Adam perform through an internet feed(even with a few glitches), I am going to do it. I think he has to work out some of the problems with the backup singers; sometimes they were too loud. That's probably the reason he is doing these radio mini concerts. He gets to perform in front of a large audience and also can work out any issues or problems that come up now before he goes out on his own tour later this year. I know he is in NJ today performing, so maybe we will get to see some of that on you tube later in the evening.

Article and review of the KISS 108 Concert 2012: Says VERY nice things about Adam's performance:

REVIEW: Lambert, Iglesias fuel revived Kiss Concert
BY ANGELA SMITH FOR THE SUN CHRONICLE
May 20, 2012

"MANSFIELD - Kiss Concert 2012 was probably the best way to kick off the summer concert season. With a wide variety of performers and a lot of flair, Kiss Concert was better than it has been in past years.

With headliners such as the enigmatic and crowd pleasing Enrique Iglesias and Adam Lambert, it's no wonder fans were flocking to the annual radio station event. Enrique had one of the most lively performances of the night, complete with confetti, lots of swagger and an upbeat personality. He even revisited his smash hit "Hero" from 2001, and thrilled fans when he brought a 10-year-old boy on stage with him to dance and sing.

Adam Lambert also gave a great performance and showed the crowd why he made it past his "American Idol" stint and became a superstar, while others fizzled out after leaving the hit Fox show.

In addition to Enrique and Adam, there were other great acts, including British boy band The Wanted, who were energizing and made the girls swoon with their cute British accents. Sadly, they had to catch a flight so their set was rather short, but what they did give the fans was a fun-filled performance with hits such as "Glad You Came" and "When The Sun Goes Down."

***There is also a fabulous photo of Adam with this caption: "Adam Lambert wowed the Comcast audience." (Photo by Marc Andrew Deley / Crammed Media)

Adam would be much better off with a backing tape rather than having back-up singers who sing offkey. Adam, of course, sounded fine.

Anonymous said...

I wish I could buy Trespassing from American iTunes TO SUPPORT ADAM but not possible for international Glamberts. :-(

Anonymous said...

glitzlady, thanks for the link to the review. I wish the article said more about Adam. It said virtually nothing. Covered Enriquez, but two lines about Adam? Maybe I missed something. Is there more? Adam was so great, but no mention of anyhing specific about his performance. Oh well.

Anyone from Boston attended this concert? Can we get a recap of the concert from lucky fans who attended this concert? No matter what ustream always sucks.

Anonymous said...

Love it anyway. Even if it was start and stop. God job Adam and the band.

Anonymous said...

NCOE, Trespassing and Naked Love were great. The crowd was very young and I think this time they should have performed other songs instead of Shady and Kickin In. The band intro should be between songs. I thought it ruined IIHY too. I wish to hear the album version of BTIKM.

glitzylady said...

@DRG
I posted what was said about Adam. I felt that the fact that the article was positive and complimentary to Adam, however briefly stated, was nice..They could have said nothing at all or been neutral or negative..I'll take what we can get! Calling him a superstar, saying that he "wowed" the audience, describing him in this sentence "Adam Lambert also gave a great performance and showed the crowd why he made it past his "American Idol" stint and became a superstar, while others fizzled out after leaving the hit Fox show"..is all good! It was an article about the Concert in general, and left many other acts out entirely...so I loved the Adam mention..There were some high powered acts there but she chose to highlight Adam in the title too...Positive PR for him. Maybe there will be another article or two about it before the end of the day..with more detailed and specific reports of Adam's performance..Guess we'll see!

Watch these two videos of Kiss 108 concerts. They are really good:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCTqvACF11Q&feature=player_embedded

Obviously they had some sound issue. But I guess that happens with these radio concerts.

Thanks, glitzlady, Wasn't really bashing the attentin given to Adam. I just thought there was something I had missed. You know me. I'm not a complainer, generally. Thanks again for the link, and it was good!

@ 6:04 a.m......JAK here...

No sound issue with Shady, just a lack of Sam Sparro! The cd features Sam singing the lower register, a nice counter balance to Adam's voice. Since he can't haul Sam around with him everywhere, all live performances will have Adam singing both parts....makes it sound different.
Still a great song, we'll get used to it! :)

Anonymous said...

I loved different arrangement of WWFM. Not only he can change up other artists' songs and make it brilliant, with his own songs we have heard different versions and they all sound fabulous.

BTW, today is the last day to purchase Trespassing on iTunes for its first week sales count. Hope Adam makes the no. 1 on Billboard chart!
