Can't wait to see the full vid for NCOE. I am certain the concept for it will be very creative and unique. After all, it's Adam Lambert and he never does anything that is ordinary. At least the videos he has already done relate to the lyrics of the song, have some meaning, a theme, a storyline.

OT I ordered another deluxe cd from AO for the special price a couple days ago. Got an email that it is back ordered.So upset cause will it now not count for Adam's first week sales and how could they have underestimated the number needed. Some people on Adamtopia said the same thing happened to them.On a positive note received my other ones and this video looks like it will be amazing!

ahhh! i have seen this like 20 times already! its sooo apocalyptic/sci-fi/scary movie/futuristic that once you start watching it you want to see what happens next! (even if it was17 seconds only :3)

i've been trying to get all the details i can and for me it looks like a place where they are living like prisioners maybe? and then they rebel against whatever the thing thatz holding them lol i get to that conclusion because in one part u can see everyone in a line waiting for food (almost like a school lunchroom thing...i see it as maybe they have to live the same rutine everyday) and then you see adam (Oh my gosh so beautiful) in a weird room and when he sits on the bed the face he makes says he is about to do something..(which im dieying to see) .also u can see a camer(like they are being watched)...i dont understand the pills yet......or the mistirious door at the start.....but the vid is soo short! lol im trying to guess to much!

This rather interesting NCOE snippet gives me an impression that Adam is teleported to another time and space. How's that Albert Einstein? LOL! You notice I communicate with the famous dead and gone too. LOL! Adam wakes from his nap on the couch; by the way so far, he has a couch in 3 videos already; and appears bewildered in this surreal state of teleportation. I didn't notice people taking pills but they can be our future or even now, protein tablets for people who are too busy to eat. Weight lifters take protein tablets to boost the growth of muscles. An adventurous producer should cast Adam in a movie such as this; which requires, convincing, beautiful facial expressions of bewilderment and angst; Adam's forte. :)

Isn't it amazing how 17 seconds of a music video teaser can elicit so many creative responses from some very imaginative bloggers here. The point is that it is getting people to think, to come up with some very clever scenarios. How many other videos out now can do tht? Most of them have scantily dressed women or the performer(Rihanna, for example), just gyrating around with no purpose but to sell the sexuality of it. And this is what our young tweens and teens are watching. There is no relevance to the song because most of them have nothing to say anyway. Bitter, you say? You bet. When someone as talented as Adam Lambert has to fight every inch of the way to gain radio play or any degree of success in the music business, you bet I am frustrated and angry at the unfairness of it all. So there it is and it all started with 17 secs of a video tease that just got me going. Agree, disagree? I realize there are many more important things in life that can get anyone frustrated or angry, but at this moment it was this. It will be interesting to read other comments.

From the bits and pieces I've picked up about "Never Close Our Eyes" music video, from hints and brief comments of those involved, and from a whole lot of my own imagination and interpretation of this brief "teaser", the setting is in a futuristic, post-apocolyptic world, presumably Earth, but perhaps not..where life and the world itself have become dull, regimented, and colorless, both in reality and in peoples' way of thinking..Senses are severely dulled, emotions erased, and everyone, and every day is the same..so to sleep is to escape the mundane and lifeless existence that has become "life" in this world. People wander through their days with lifeless eyes and no hope for tomorrow.. The pills represent the need of some faceless entity to "medicate" everyone into a calm, energy-less, mass of humanity, who show no emotional response to anything or anyone..Perhaps Adam refuses the "medication" one day and learns that life can be so much more than the emotionless, colorless, lifeless existence which has been all he has known up to that day, when he refused to "drink the Kool-Ade".. or in this case, swallow the pill, the tranquilizer, the super-anti-anxiety pill, that numbs him into a mindless stupor. Adam's video will presumably give the people of this "world" the chance to see "color" and "light" and individuality in their world again..and reason to "Never Close Our Eyes" because life has again become a rich, colorful, joyful and emotion-filled place where each person can have the life of their dreams once more..No more escaping to their own private dreamland..but come together and enjoy life to the fullest together...each and every beautiful moment shared with those we love: friends, family, lover, because indeed life can be fleeting, so every moment is to be treasured and savored..We should also take the occasion chance, a "leap of faith", and not just lead our regimented lives.. without stretching our perceived personal "boundaries" for fear of failure..Stretch those wings and fly and see the "colors" and beauty around us..including the people in our lives..Reach out to them as well..expand beyond our own little world.. Good advice for our "world" as well!

I'd love to expand upon my little scenario..but real life calls and I have to go shopping for a new refrigerator. Mine decided to die (it was old and it was apparently its "time" to go to that big refrigerator resting place in the sky..or the recycle yard..) so off I go! Not exactly "spreading my wings" today..but having a place to keep my food fresh is unfortunately a mundane priority today ; )) Interesting too that mechanical things: cars, major household appliances..ALWAYS quit working on a Saturday night..One of the great unwritten laws of the Universe apparently.. Or in this case, Murphy's Law......

I think it is kind of fortunate that Adam finds it less logical to do the traditional "romantic, sexual-couple" related types of videos. It opens him up to interpret songs in so many other ways. Any other singer could have taken NCOE and make it a traditional girl-guy "let's live for today" kind of story. BORING! But not Adam. Because he doesn't always take the romantic route, he twists the song's theme into something so much more interesting than the commonplace ideas used so often. All the issues involving his sexuality only make his possibilities broader and far more fascinating.

GO, ADAM! You keep us guessing and are never ever boring!

Basically I think the NCOE video will not take on another heavy psychological stance but rather a more light-hearted tone of love, sharing and some intrigue; people living harmoniously even if they are different; perhaps in a future dimension/time from ours or even back in the past. He has already done BTIKM on a rather serious note; not likely as I feel that he'll use another psychological, humdrum approach; maybe something happier to relate to the young and the old. Adam might want to relate more to the young who are very into sci-fi.

I was thinking about Logan's Run.. In the movie, when you turn 30, your life is terminated when you go to "Carousel". Adam is 30....It makes you think of all kinds of possibilities!

I also hope Adam injects some humour into the video and maybe even dance. Adam can be quite a clown when he wants to. I love those weird skits he did, so funny. :)

I'm a bit nervous about the video. Sometimes you can overthink and dig too deep to create something cerebral. I think BTIKM did that. Consider the mainstream video audience, do they want to figure things out or just see crowds of scantily clad dancers and vulgar moves from males and females.
