JAK here.....my daughter called me from the bank where she works today, the tellers and customer representatives all know about my "relationship" with Adam. My daughter has a big mouth. Anyway, she said "Nicole says Hi and hows Adam doing?" I said "Fine, he and his platinum hair are causing quite a stir", she turned around and called out "Adam Lambert has platinum hair!" Employees and several customers all said "What"?
A bunch of them ran into offices to get on computors!

Has a change of hair color ever caused such a stir? I could hear them all chattering. Nicole grabbed the phone and said "Oh, Mrs.K. he's beautiful, can't you just see him all in black as a hit man in a movie!!!"

3:45 100,000 fans? usually you say 20,000. see things are looking up.

We certainly have a fair share of trolls in this long comment section.

BTW, I've never seen such attention to Adam's hair color as now! Even People Magazine, Stylewatch, is on the band wagon showing the B&W photo Adam tweeted yesterday morning. My computer home page is Google News and there are at least 3 new media articles on the main page every few hours! It's terrific PR for Adam!

Anon 3:10 and SG and some of you others that posted, you have me laughing! I love this! We indeed have such a wonderful variety of posters. I also love the black hair with lighter tips but I do love Adam being 'himself' which is one to always change things up. I looked at that Bill K pic and saw how he had lots of eye makeup (like Adam has done) and it looks great (like Adam would). Let's just take a deep breath and wait for the fun he will have dressing it up! Whatever it takes to bring attention to him since radio refuses to and as long as it hurts NO ONE! It is his hair after all.

Heard that for the last year, he has been applying a temporary black dye pomade. It means to change from black color to this present platinum blond would not be harsh as the black dye is not permanent. So it is not that much damaging to his hair.

OT: Just read that Brits are angry with JB for comments he made about Prince William's thinning hair and suggested to use Propecia and asked why the Prince is not into it or if it's not available in UK?!?

What a shallow fan you are .... or were because the sight of Adam's new hair color is enough to turn you off him.

When pray tell was Adam going to learn the piano? Straight after his season of American Idol finished, he was on the road with the Idol tour AS WELL AS recording his magnificent For Your Entertainment album. After that, he embarked on a promotional tour that took him around the world, then a 6 month national & international tour, performing nearly every night. He returned to the US to co-write and record his superb Trespassing album. Then he embarked on a radio & mini concert tour to promote his Trespassing album. In the meantime, he performed with Queen at the EMAs and just recently, he performed with Queen in Eastern Europe and London.

So tell me .... when did Adam have time to learn the piano in the last 3 years? All work & no play is not beneficial to anyone, & Adam has had very little play time since he was on American Idol. Adam can look after his own backyard where his REAL fans support him through thick and thin.

I hope Adam sells tons of records. Trespassing should be a blockbuster. It is this century's Thriller. It is that good. He is changing his look but he isn't changing his voice or his heart. LOLS. I jusy googled "Bill Kaultiz blonde" and found some interesting photos of Bill looking like exactly like some of the blondes in Adam's life. His hair lightening experiments might reflect a mild interest in Adam, who is def into blondes, but it's more likely that Bill, being a chameleon himself, would try blonde anyway. Cool, though.

JAK here.....I'm really sorry guys, didn't want to involve myself and be visited by the Wrath Of Glamberts, but the new hair color is partly my fault. :(
When Adam and Sauli spent the weekend here for some quiet time (and they were really quiet...)
they spent most of the time by the pool. Adam, not being athletic, mostly sat on deck and dangled his navy blue toenails in the water.
But on that last morning before I took them to airport, he decided to do a few vigorous pool laps.

It was horrible! The black gel started washing out and by the time he came up the steps his hair was a frightening greenish brown.
California hair gel does not mix well with Florida pool chemicals!
So his new 'do' was a necessity to strip away and let hair follicles(sp?) recover slowly.

Please forgive me....but be assured I've been punished...pool company had to drain pool, do an acid wash and scrub pool tile to return it to original condition.

Sadly, they may not pay me a return visit, my heart is breaking, I'm really going to miss

Don't really care what color hair he has - he is still Adam, gorgeous and drop dead sexy. Just wish he would "change it up" and stop covering his body from head to toe in layers and layers. Look at Sauli - we get legs and shoulders and chest and arms. With Adam, we occasionally get a sleeveless shirt on stage. NEED THE BOD, BUD!!!!! (Maybe Gaga has the right idea - nude in a swimming pool). Now there's an Adam image with which I can end the night!!!

Adam was very heavy at one time and that image of yourself never goes away, in your brain you are still the fat boy or the fat girl. Even if you have slimmed down,you still retain that image. It is very obvious that Adam does not want to show his body or his acne scarred cheeks without the foundation he wears constantly. I've often wondered if appearing on the stage in heavy theatrical makeup during those acne years didn't result in his scarring. You may have to be content with bare shoulders, they're very nice and bare feet and occasionally knee length shorts.
