I fully understand Keith Urban being an idol judge because he can really sing LIVE, but Nicki Minaj??? How can you judge someone else on singing when....??? Just proves that today's music biz is no longer about the music and voices, but about "packages".

Remember AI season 8's results? And what happened afterwards? Adam Lambert became a worldwide huge success! I predict the same thing about the AI judging decision. Adam will gain even more fans because of that decision.

I honestly do not understand the appeal of Nicki Minaj..obviously there is a certain segment of the population that adores her..people who have absolutely no taste in music..AI has always catered to middle America and I highly doubt they will tune in to watch this whore (sorry..but she has a sex tape on the internet for all to see..VERY explicit)..WTH is this world coming to when the likes of someone like her are admired..by anyone???

On the full side of the AI glass, Adam got huge publicity from the speculation with the pros certainly outdoing the cons by far. Now more people know how witty and intelligent our Adam is. I always had reservations about the AI gig, as if a distraction from the focus he needs to pull his Trespassing and Queenbert tours together. AI and fashion are Adam's collateral occupations, no matter their perceived boosts to Adam's star. I'm more a purist, I guess, and that's how I prefer my Adam, "a global superstar" is more his mien, and all other pursuits should take a backseat, IMHO. atm

After all is said and done about AI, I'm relieved that Adam isn't on it. Saves me a lot of time during the week.

Of course Adam is alive.

I agree, Adam is our global Superstar! Didn't watch AI before, not watching it now, and between us Glamberts, I hope their ratings are terrible this season. Childish I know, but just being honest.

AT this stage of its run, A Idol has worn itself thin and I'm glad Adam's road will take a larger and better turn. He's destined to remain a global star and the US will play catch up, like usual.

Don't know where else to post this but I sure hope Adam won't emulate Xtina even though he gives her props. Her "I want your Body" is a metallic ear-bleeder-snore-bore. It's a shame but she 's dumbed herself down to nowhere.

As for the judges panel, I love Keith Urban (NZ born ya know)Mariah Carey I can take, at least she has credibility. The less said about Randy the better, and as for Nicki Minaj unless she has a surprise personality and talent up her sleeve, which is possible i guess she is a no go for me. Great disappointment about Adam he really would have added some genuine judgement, critique and common sense.

I see a lot of tweets right now (6:45 pm ET) asking Adam to tweet soon about his Trespassing contest because a lot of his fans worldwide want to go to sleep!!!

2.42 I agree with u 100 per cent! Adam Is fresh and full Of ideas, Idol Is not, some people that sat they will not watch it may but I promise I will not, even if Adam brags on it. Only watched cople times this year cause Adam bragged on Sachez, who Of corse did not win, because she was not a WGWG, old MG bullied them into getting Randy and now seems Randy and her run the show, heve fun I too I rather watch old reruns and vIdeos of Adam! Adam will hav something good coming, that show dead to me unless Adam on it, he may be on tour by the time they have singers on, who knows, I sure he be working on doing tv shows. I think there may be curiosity for that show at first but after that do not think ratings going to be great at all. Adam would have been so good but, better things in store u know it sounds stupid I am almost relieved, I did not want all the meanness towards him, even tho always be some jealousy towards him, better things for him. 5:22 -- That's none of our business! It's his personal life and his to choose how to live it. We are fans of him as a performer, a singer and a terrific human being, but the buck should stop there. My opinion, of course, but I stick to it :).

Randy Jackson should have left for sure. OK guy but so cornball and
repetitive and a real down side to the show.

AI's loss. OK give them credit for giving Adam the exposure he needed..... but he in turn put a breath of new life back into an almost flunked show. Plus at least now he doesn't have to sit between two diva's, listen to Randy say
