Adam Lambert 24/7 News

My friend who just came back from the scene said the performance was spectacular, but the recording didn't do it justice. And the audience were not very high, because they were mostly not Adam's fans, but some middle aged very rich people.

Whoa! Almost a cappella...my wish to hear Adam's voice, uncluttered, close to a cappella has finally come true. Even Brian's chipping in was terrific. Those high notes, oh my goodness. All those Mercedes on stage lol! I think this is the first time Adam sings with cars as stage props, lol. And the men in the audience wearing tie, all sitting down...a bit different kind of setting. :)

Yep,wish the videos were better quality;the audio was very good,& I don't know how it was since the videos were not playing right.thanks to whoever posted them,tho..maybe later we'll get some more.I wonder if 3 songs were all that Adam sang..I COULD TELL that Adam's performance was great-it's just the videos that weren't..cause it was live is the reason,I guess.That was a huge space w/the cars..

Tough crowd and very polite applause, not exactly what Adam is used to.

I hope they gave him one of those Mercedes-Benz vehicles ......I'm sure that would make up for the lukewarm reception!

Adam did a spectacular performance of WWFM. I thought also the audience was a little lukewarm but must not have been familiar with Adam's music. At one point looked like Adam went over to one of the dancers and danced just for a moment while singing. I'd have loved to see more of that! Hoping for more vids but am thankful we got to see these. Thank you.

Adam probably got a heads up before the show about the type of audience he was dealing with and enjoyed it. whoa those cars!!!

WHY did they invite him to sing for an audience that was unfamiliar with his music? I bet that's the most awkward performing situation he's ever been in. Pathetic. I definitely won't be watching anymore of these videos.

I agree, this was strange. Is that the only reason he's in China? That was the worst response I've seen from an audience, that I could tell? All exposure is great and I hoped they paid Adam, well. He looked great- I wonder if he wqs the only act?

I think language barrier was a big part of the lack of response. They were probably trying to figure out where that other voice (Brian) was coming from and where he was wanting them to go :0 Here we go Come on.

As I recall, this performance was mainly for the press..and was part of the Mercedes promotion. Definitely not Adam's usual audience. I suspect they enjoyed him very much. Who wouldn't??!!!

This was not a concert but I believe he is just a guest to give some entertainment to a more formal occasion. The Chinese are in general not an enthusiastic audience. I remember standing and dancing with my friends in a few concerts with the Chinese audience just staring not even getting into the beat of the loud danceable music blaring. And this was in Janet Jackson, Michael Bolton, MJ separate concerts. But it doesn't mean they're not appreciative or in awe of the performer.

How come some of you are so damn negative? Just because the audience wasn't jumping up and down for Adam doesn't mean that they didn't enjoyed his performance. There's a time and place for jumping up and down, screaming, singing along, etc., and there's a time to be a bit conservative. The audience appears to be business men, which makes their response appropriate for the occasion. A gig is a gig and a paycheck is a paycheck. I'll tell you what was startling was Brian's singing, if you want to call it that. He was too loud. Love this fansite.

I think most of us agree that this was a corporate event, not an Adam concert. Other entertainers do these, too. They make good money, but these are not their real fans. It's just entertainment for the business people. I'm sure Adam made a good buck. Actually, other than the music not starting in on time, it went well. His voice was great and he was very enthusiastic. Like other singers in this same situation, I think Adam is very aware of what a "corporate" show is. He handled it like the pro he is.

Looked to me to be a group of middle-aged to old businessmen in suits so wouldnt expect a wild and crazy response, regardless of the country. Considering this, I think Adam did great and his performance was probably as well received as possible. You never know what unexpected opportunities can come from this appearance! . . . Adamluv

This was absolutely amazing for Adam. To sing in front of all the major execs of Mercedes Benz is great. Of course, they would not jump up and down. The Chinese, particularly men over 40, are only now beginning to show their emotions. They are still very much 'reserved'. The younger generation LOVES Adam's music. Most of them learn the English language at their second language. And, furthermore, Mercedes Benz is itself a very conservative company. Isn't Roger Federer included in one of their commercials? Anyway, all around wonderful gig for Adam. His MAMA gig will be in front of fans!!

If you watch the videos from the actual event (although bad quality0 rather than the video of the livestream, the response is much louder at the end of Trespassing.

But agree with those who said, this was a corporate event for men in suits, not really the place to be jumping up and down and screaming. I also agree with The Chinese being a reserved race as a whole.

Did anyone think Adam sounded out of breath on Trespassing?

I watched these videos on my iPad using my BOSE headphone and I heard the audience were cheering. These videos are from Internet live stream and the sound usually isn't that great with live stream. But Adam sounded fabulous as always. It was a promotional performance for Mercedes and I am sure they paid Adam well. I loved his Trespassing performance and MCs said nice things about Adam. All is well! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I think acoustic of all of these videso are very poor. I hardly can hear the band. And there were a lot of people, I can see them stand and applause but I can't hear it. Didn't you pay attention? I'm sure it was blast. Because,most of these people would leave if they didn't like ADam performance.

I have come to the conclusion all Glamberts are worrywarts with high anxiety levels, and I am one of them. lol

The band was confused or nervous or both! I can hear only Adam voice on this videos. He had to wait for them or ask them to start! Very strange!

@12:55 you said it all. When you watch on video you don't get a clear picture at all. Yes, the opening had some problems, but nothing Adam could'nt handle. The audience were business people and therefore more more reserved but heared Adam was greatly loved. The occasion was one of class of which Adam fitted perfectly. He looked fantastic and sang supremely! I feel the US underestimate the power of the Asian music industry because it's huge. It's far from inferior infact quite the opposite. Just wait until Korea gets Adam, he touched down there a few weeks back en route to Australia under different circumstances but it's about to happen in that part of the world BIG TIME!
