This angelic freckled-face boy grows into such a fierce young man...moral of the event is never short-change a child, give it all the opportunities and nurturing; important too, never force. You never know what you'll see, years down the road. :)

I love adam so damn much, but the top photo, make up with facial hair is NOOOOO, just no...

I hope he doesn't mean he is going to lose weight. He is perfect. A skinny thin man is not attractive. So I don't get the caption. MJ was ridiculously skinny. Please Adam, don't get too thin. I like less makeup, no highlights in hair and the clean look. But as long as he doesn't get skinny all is good. Funny how body image is a prob with celebs. They are fine as is. Wish they knew that.

Well, the swept back hair the colored tips is a look that I absolutely LOVE. It's sophisticated and sexy. The down on the forehead look is just plain cute as well and makes him look about 16 years old. Boy, he sure changed his hair up really fast! Wonder why he did it? He just seems to get tired of the same look. One reason why we'll never get bored with our Adam. Most guys never change their look. Adam is a surprise party every time!
Can't wait for the Shanghai show!

He usually wears his hair down when he's pressed for time. He has been fighting his weight since puberty, he gains easily and inherited his father's body type. Ebers getting chubby. So don't complain if he gets a bit skinny, it's healthier for him and one or two weeks binge eating gives him a tummy and love handles. (as evidenced by t-shirt in rehearsal pictures.) Not that we don't love his handles, but I applaud his trying to stay trim.
Freckles often fade, I was a freckle face and now have only 2 visible. Plus, he wears makeup.
He was adorable in second photo, looked like Huckleberry Finn, whom I believe he played on stage.

Adam sends "Movember Realness" and "My goal-weight" as cryptic captions to two conflicting photos of himself, and invites us to muse on his meaning. Coming on the heels of his MAMA performance, the photos give us the state of his mind, and his perception of his opening act to the biggest show in Asia. Never one to lament the crisis side of the coin when there is opportunity on the other, Adam is reminding himself to return not to a smaller weight or frame, but to the more benign frame of mind of his carefree youth. Adam must be second guessing a performance that could win over the audience of MAMA's reported magnitude. After all, the event is an important opportunity, the equivalent of AMA, but with an even greater capacity in which to mess up, as, for instance, to jar delicate sensibilities, if your sexual orientation is circumspect. Although a triumph of liberal thought for this largely conservative music industry, Adam's booking is a nod to a more enlightened era. AMA's Asian counterpart may have given Adam some feeling of vindication, as his attitude and stride on stage looked to have translated to an even more fierce-looking presence.
In the photos, eyes heavily rimmed to rivet through ours and behind an uncharacteristic beard, the adult Adam wears the "mask" of MAMA; as the boy, Adam is without a mask. An anomaly inside an enigma despite his "open book" persona, Adam mysteriously lets us know that he's self-aware, he is pre-empting a reaction to his performance that may not be kind. But far from wallowing in ennui, he declares his "Movember Reality" to move on, to a "goal-weight", of freedom from the weight of the crisis side of art.
Adam may not know the full impact of his performances, as he trespasses into hearts and minds and challenges antiquated and dangerous notions. A courageous soul, he breaks grounds to the enjoyment of many, though much to his detriment. His challenge, however, is not go from stoic reality to boyish innocence, but to see that his person is whole, an exercise which he here openly but not so obviously shares. And the saga of this most compelling man continues. atm
