Now we have Pan, Greek god of the wild, nature and music. A musician who played pan pipes. He also had horns on his face was half man half goat. This will be an interesting thread.

In that case, most likely it will be an Adam / Jessica duet, on the Divas show. As for Singapore, this year's F1 night races went ahead, I think Sept. other guest stars were hired. So not sure if he'll be coming or perhaps next year's F1. The last F1...21000, pretty big crowd.

Wow, such a lot of old rot over Adams incredible tattoo. You can never win with some people. It's masterpiece of artwork. Sad it will be covered for the awards.

I'd like to say a kind word for Adam's management. They haven't hit upon a formula for getting his music played on radio or many US appearances, but they are booking him and the band in world wide venues. That's got to be proof that they think the guy is a money maker. Each new destination is growing his fan base, I intend to let myself be cheerful during this holiday season and picture Adam in his baggy swim shorts in Bali!.... JAK

Adam is an artist who makes the most fabulous canvas for a tattoo. In defense of Adam, like the open book that he is, merely chooses to wear his art on his sleeve. In peeling another layer of himself to us with this very personal tattoo, Adam risks the ire of those who feel as if he had defaced the Mona Lisa. We may lament the lost layer of freckled innocence, but like it or not, the tattoo expresses Adam's philosophy of "ars gratia artis", (art for art's sake). We, his fans, should no more expect this man whom we adore to stifle an artistic vision to cleave to our artistic sensibilities than expect him to stop singing. (For the record, I love that the tat is inked only in black, filled with mythological imagery and spiritual references, baroque flourishes, and drama. A provocative, intriguing, and controversial image, reflecting an owner that I would not have any other way.) atm

Well said, JAK. :)

Anonymous said...

You are right there dear JAK....

Adam is the money maker with millions of fans around the world who care about America who ignores his talent he!he!

He is historically the first foremost super talented gay artist who made it to the top of the Billboard and known worldwide indeed:)

Liked Simon said, NO ONE CAN TOP THAT NOWWWWWWWWWW!!!:)))

Sad that Adam can't do what he wants, whether it's take a couple days off of shaving or getting a tattoo that has personal meaning to him, without his fans complaining about it.

And the satanism comments just shows how unexposed to classical elements some people are.

Regarding your comment:
"And the satanism comments just shows how unexposed to classical elements some people are."

Very very well said! (and herein lies the problem {in many arenas in life nowadays} heavy sigh).

One of the best, truest, fairest comments on here in two days. Thanks

Adam should take off more days without shaving. The stubble look is very appealing.

If you are interested, take a half hour and google a few terms you have heard here in the past few days in relationship to Adam's new tat... Contemporary Paganism, PAN/Greek Mythology... those are two to start with that will lead you down a very illuminating path... a very ADAM path, so to speak... it makes perfect sense (and if we have really been paying attention, will not, should not surprise many of us... if you're just in it for the music, COOL, me too, but with a quick google and an open mind and a good sense of re-call & memory you will find nothing overly suprising in the possible, potential, alleged meanings of Adam's new tatt). I hope that didn't come off preachy, as that was not my intent, I actually just really enjoyed researching some of this material and again, found that it is very "Adam" (and way down deep I sort of feel like some of his fan base do indeed need occassional reminders of how he really truly seems to "be", by public accounts anyway, which is all we can really know him from, public accounts, what he offers us in the public domain). Just My Opinion.

Very well said ....how sad it would be if Adam's freedom of. expression was stifled in any way.... IMO the world would suffer ....rose petal

Adam obviously grew up in an intellectual environment with plenty of word-play, puns, irony, and, of course, an attention to the arts, music and literature. We've seen how his dad loves to play with words and display his wicked sense of humor. Adam is a lot like him. Verbally risky and somewhat cutting at times, but a loving heart all the same. Adam has a lot of emotion and personal meaning invested in this tattoo. He won't be displaying it all the time, wearing sleeveless shirts. We'll know it's there, and we'll understand the thoughts that were in his mind when he chose it.

Yes, JAK! Adam's management is savvy. They are taking him where the money is. No sense sitting around in the good ol' USA and being ignored. He's building a resume of huge gigs world-wide that can't be ignored forever. What an exciting time this is for him! World travel, cultural exposure. Memories for a lifetime. I hope Sauli comes along on the Japan tour.
Virtually all Idol alums evaporate into thin air within a year of being on the show. For Adam, it's going on four years, and his light is growing brighter, not dimmer. He's one of the few who is still on his way UP with a growing career.
Adam is NOT your average pop star. His path is, as he says, kind of like he is: somewhat left of center. I wouldn't trade him for all the Biebs and Gagas in the world

Since Adam is doing a concert in Manila, he'd probably want to duet with Jessica to give it some publicity. Jessica is a big draw in the Philippines. Perhaps Adam may do both; just a projection. Divas will be a very good show!

Ram, Sheep and Goat references. Courtesy of Miles Tougeaux. funny shit. never ceases to make the mind think a little more harder.

atm@3:19AM & Anon 6:17AM & a few others --- thank you for your intelligent, informative and ... 'non-judgmental' comments. I, for one, appreciate them very much in the midst of all the other cr**.

Anonymous said...

Lam-my, I'm confused. Are you talking about Adam doing a duet with Jessica Sanchez? But she is not on the Divas show. Is there something I missed?

Anonymous said...

Adam seems to have incorporated several classical and universal themes from around the world. I also see The Green Man in the tattoo, another representation of the life cycle.

Oh I must have got another diva mistaken for Jessica Sanchez, on a video posted here...Thanks for pointing that out. :)

@ atm.....JAK here.....I don't think I've told you how much I enjoy your posts. I agree that the tatt in black and white is dramatic. It looks like the pen and ink illustrations in my books of myths and legends.

As far as the Mona Lisa, I've stood in front of that painting on many occasions in the Louvre and wondered why it is so revered. As someone repeated to me on another thread...beauty is in the eye of the beholder...well, it doesn't move me at all. IMO it's a homely woman with a fake looking background like the kind they used to have in photo booths. But in other rooms there were art works that grabbed at me with such force I stood and wept. Mostly sculptures...Winged Victory, Venus de Milo and rooms and rooms of others. We don't all see things the same way, especially
on 24/7. But that's okay, it's as it should be.

Great! We finally got some peace from the ZODIAC-HITLER pest and now we have an ILLUMINATI IDIOT!
Since your map shows my state
crammed full of FEMA concentration camps, I think I'll move to North Dakota they only have one!

The Illuminati crap has been around for centuries and we're still here. Have there been power hungry nincompoops through the ages - yes. Should we be afraid, very afraid - that depends, just how crazy is your Messiah Glenn Beck?

DRG thank you very much for your honest review! You're right Adam can not be replaced, the song is a virtuoso, special, unique! HH

One more thing I didnt even think about Adams international gigs as playing where the money is and not waiting round for US to wake up (not all of course. some are very awake as we can see on this site.) A great and savvy move.
