It might be #1 here if people got to hear it...i no longer even bother to listen to the radio...I can't quite figure out what happened after WWFM...it's like all of a sudden radio refuses to play anything by Adam....rose petal

Radio cooking it's own goose by playing same old same old. I would hint they have an agenda but don't want to be sued! The Dark Side

the religious right happened (or continued to happen) rose petal... their tentacles are far reaching. I'm not talking about the Republican party as a whole, but the conservature tea party religious right happened... look into who controls radio rose petal. Btw, I always enjoy your posts

Yes it is darn frustrating. Still I believe it will come slowly Adams rise to fame. As others have said his talent cannot be ignored forever.
I feel maybe he will do a lot of hosting etc that type of thing after Divas. I also think and hope that he will always have enough work to keep going. But at the end of the day a No 1 radio play would be wonderful lets face it.
Funny to see him and Kris up there together, how cool.

I didn't even know Kris Allen has a song out -- never heard about it. Good for him being #2, but I seriously think he has mostly faded away .... and no offense intended with that remark; simply stating fact.

The Philippines is the only Christian country in Asia and about 80% - 90% Catholic but they have great acceptance of the gay community.
Adam had a crowd of more than 16,000 in his GNT concert there while Kris was only one of a group of performers when he was there.
They love their Idols there like the two Davids and now Jessica Sanchez.

2012 MAMA in Hong Kong Adds Top Musicians:
ADAM LAMBERT and B.o.B to Lineup

Representatives of the 2012 Mnet Asian Music Awards have confirmed the attendance of top stars ADAM LAMBERT(American Idol Season 8) and B.o.B (Bobby Ray Simmons, "Nothing on You") to the awards festivities being held in Hong Kong on November 30.
Last year's MAMA show in Singapore also featured world class artists including will.i.am, Apl.de.ap, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg.
This year, the addition of ADAM LAMBERT and B.o.B further adds glitter to the already stellar line up that includes Jackie Chan among many others.

ADAM LAMBERT is often considered as a strong rival to Lady Gaga. He became prominent after appearing on the eighth season of "American Idol".
In 2009, ADAM released his debut album which sold 2 million copies and earned him the Grammy Award nomination for "Best Male Pop Vocal Performance" and also numerous international awards and honors.

Following all the success, his second album was released in May 2012 in which he was also the executive producer.
The album claimed the no.1 spot on the Billboard 200 album chart for him for the first time with a funk-rock sensibility which also made him immensely popular in Europe.

I know your right ...guess I already knew but was hoping it was something else.... my husband was just saying the other morning when we heard that JB won some many awards on the AMA awards.... that radio had gone crazy when a kid who couldn't even sing without being auto tuned could be considered so great.... Of course he went on to say ...so.I wouldn't have to .... who should be winning.... it's a sad but true.... and thanks glad u enjoy my sometimes unique look on life...: rose petal

12:00 -- Sued?? They DO have an agenda. Period. Everybody knows it. Just buy CDs or download music. All sounds a lot better than radio anyway. BTW, WHO listens to radio nowadays (except occasionally in the car, and even then, most people now plug in their IPODs or IPHONEs or other MP3 player and listen to their preferred music. Mine happens to include a lot of Adam Lambert :)

Adam is a multi-talented, multi-faceted artist. That will ensure him a lifelong career!

My grown son always tells me about successful singers and bands who went on to mega-fame and big sales without a lot of radio play. A strong following keeps these acts strong and successful for many many years. Adam will do fine. He's already looked at for gigs that include more than singing (VH1 show, etc.) He has the look and the presence that TV, movies, etc. look for. I think he'll always sings, but will also do other things. He has to be "re-discovered" by the public and the media who didn't pay attention after Idol. I'm not worried that he'll grow old and penniless, that's for sure.

I have a question. How come our global pop sensation doesn't have the good sales? I think RCA can spend extra money for promotion!

Anonymous said...

Yessssssssssss!!!!

Adam rulesssssssssss!!!

Thanks Philippines:)

Obviously RCA cannot force radio stations to play Adam's music or they would.....more money for them.
Adam is constantly out and about and in demand, so I'm grateful. He has a career. Radio has become so less relevant in my lifetime it's not the only way to have success in the music business...
other than my car (where I never turn it on)...our only radio is a battery one with flashlight attached for use in hurricanes!..JAK

I really don't understand whats happening with radio, especially US radio where genres are much more segregated, and have their own stations. The top40 stations are the biggest and aim at the younger audience, i.e under 25's. But in reality this age group does not listen to radio they get all their music from word of mouth, internet, ipods etc. I have never heard of any of the bands and singers my 18 yo likes (apart from Skrillex), but they are all hugely popular amongst his peers.
Radio should ai at the older demographic as they are the ones more likely to listen to music....

Here's an interesting article about the AMA's this year, maybe its not just us that wants to listen to real singers again.

p.s The Filippinas love ther music, and really love Idol, They're a very musical race, a lot of the bar bands in HK are Filippina, and they are all great. And every sunday wherever you go in HK you'll see groups of Filippina helpers all singing together.

I'm from the Philippines and have been an Adam fan since day one when i saw him on American Idol. Glad to hear that Trespassing is no. 1.

Anonymous said...

Really truly fans, I am not purposefully trying to be political, I assure you I am not trying to stir the pot, it just is simply fact... well, let's say there's a lot of evidence that a very conservative religious older white male citizenry run current radio, even top 40 radio. Adam represents so much of what they are afraid of... especially Adam because he has completely mesmerized MOMS WHO ARE RAISING CHILDREN... Moms who are teaching them to be tolerant, openminded, etc... children that will lead this country down what they consider not only a more liberal path, but one that they consider non-traditional to the point of fear and loathing. I say Adam is the boy next door, just a different kind of boy next door, and thank the universe for it!!

The world loves Adam........his talent, showmanship, and charisma make him the complete package.

Hopefully, he will get another Grammy nomination and the recognition he deserves in the US!

Nicely stated, I couldn't agree with you more.

Nothing better than seeing a #1 by Adam's name!

I am not holding my breath that things will improve greatly. We have a local nut job preacher who is fixated on Adam. He has had sermons on Adam being the anti-christ and others using scripture to prove (?) Adam is proof we are living in the last days, as per the book of revelations.

Sadly, he has a large congregation.

Anon 6:26 you are NOT serious are you? What part of the country are you in out of curiosity? The south per chance?

@6:26
I disagree with your preacher about Adam but he is right we are now living in the last days.
Watch who will be the mediator for peace between Hamas and Israel and that is who the antichrist is and it's the time he will manifest himself now as peacemaker.

@6:26
By what you stated, you're preacher is one of the false prophets that abound this End Times.
How so wrong he is and what bible is he referencing?
To know when antichrist appeared in the US and where he spent his time and where he will come out to manifest himself now, direct your preacher to this link:
