I'm really not interested in his personal, should be, private life.

I am thinking that we had all better grow some pretty tough skin if we want to be Adam's true fans. It appears that he has always been outspoken, and, I don't mind this attribute, however, I think as he gets older and a little more burned, he might tone down. As for gay rights and bullying, I love how he speaks out on these topics. But, Adam will learn that not in other situations, like Kelly Clarkson's scorn, will it always pay for him to be so loyal. He lives in a cut throat environment and my fear is that these so called musical friends will not always have his back if untrue things are printed or spoken about him. But, so be it-he has chosen his path in life and that is to himself to be true. That old adage fits no one better than Adam-to thine own self, be true. We have to love him for this because in his world, to be outspoken takes real guts.

JAK here....I'll admit Adam often does and says things that make me gasp and chew a few fingernails. This response is not new to me since I am the loving grandmother of a 25 year old with a Big Mouth.
However, circumstances are teaching him tact, better than his Mom and I ever could. As chief concierge-VIP liason in a hotel his job is to keep celebrities happy....not always an easy task...but he's learning to control his mouth and then go in his office and decimate his dart board.

You have to stand up for everything you believe in and for your own reputation 100%....it's not a question of being 'brave'...
you have to have guts in this world. Kudos to Kelly Clarkson.
AND that's what's so fantastic about Adam he takes no BS from anyone.

Adam does not need to 'keep his mouth shut' for one second. If you love the man for heavens sake realise what he stands for. A wimpy attitude get's people nowhere.

Kelly Clarkson was honest from the beginning about her troubles with the label and she had to make choices that were best for her career...and that seems to have turned out okay! Have many of those here worried about Adams support for her ever heard Mick Jagger or Jim Morrison spout off?! Good God, get a grip. This is Rock and Roll after all. Glitzlady got it right.

Thanks for the Ann Powers article. Really interesting..and explains a lot of what's happening in the Music industry today.

Adam Lambert is a true and good Person and a good friend, he likes Kelley and she has said she likes Adam's music and he nice! I will alway's admire him for the kind if person he is. He needs not shut his mouth, he had every right to back someone he appreciates, one of the reasons he has so many people I'm the business that really count that do like him! Everyone that works with him have nothing but good things to say about him.he does have balls of steel and you got to have them to survive and be respected in that business! I think year by year Adam building respect with people that count! Everything will eventually come out great for Adam! There may be these big deal people that hit faster, Adam slowly will have a life long career, that will remain longer than most! Because he got talent in 50 different directions! Anyway I am proud of Adam, sticking up for what he believes in, especially will for anyone he thinks is bullied, as he has been so much himself, even now in this business. He ignores it and does what right for him, sometime it takes a while to find out what suits you best, he going in that direction nicely now! Always proud of Adam, want him to be himself! My daughter was a GM in the hotel business for 13 years, she got really tired of it! Now manager if a chili's you have to have tack, on the other hand sometimes you have to speak your mine it's a balance in any business, she quit after 12 years went to chili's makes more money!

Adam's tweet was short and sweet, nothing controversial, just a positive nod of support to Kelly. Adam is after all a principled, loyal man that supports his friends and those he repects. I admire him being honorable and honest, tho he was dead on with his Les Mis critique, he could have been more tactful, but he certainly has every right to support and comment like anyone else. He owns what he says and I respect him for that. He's grown a lot in the past 3 years since Idol and has become a world traveled, savvy man that will continue to grow and learn. I think he's handled fame and all of it's pressures exceedingly well. Love him to pieces!

Clive Davis is on the down side of his golden years and I don't think anyone will be affected one way or the other by his recollections or run to the nearest book store with the exception of those that have been affiliated with him. Kelly set it straight and I think others will also see her as the most credible source.

After reading LA Times' articles on Clive's inclination to the practice and declaration of being a bisexual, I'm convinced bisexuality is all about sex and lust, a perversion, not an orientation but of choice.

I believe Kelly was definitely bullied by Clive Davis and Adam stood up for her against the bully. That's what Adam does and that's one of the reasons we love and respect him so much as does the entire world. I also respect Kelly for speaking out as she is no shrinking violet either. Adam doesn't strike me as someone who will stand up for a person, right or wrong. Rather, he is going to stand up for something he believes is right. I don't doubt that Adam has also seen this side of Clive, and that is why he is on team Kelly. He knows she was being treated unfairly by Clive, and he knows it took guts for her to stand up for herself. He's not going to leave her alone in the aftermath.

I don't think Adam brief Tweet is a do or die thing. At least he didn't expand on it with a detailed comment. What he did was just enough to make his feelings known. I don't think he get any backlash for it.
