The Lambert Meter measured by Lambert levels. Really? Really? LOL I hope this doesn't gain popularity. (rolling my eyes so far back they may not come forward again)

Anonymous said...

Whatever! Where did this piece of you know what come from? Sue

Anonymous said...

Lololol!!!! This is awesome. :D

Anonymous said...

That was stupid

Anonymous said...

Perpetuating stupidity among parts of the North American population!

Anonymous said...

This reminds me of a hilarious Glee skit, existing outside the TV series, in which Sue Sylvester accused Adam Lambert of not being gay enough... sigh...

Anonymous said...

I don't think this is something that Adam needs to have out there on the net.

Anonymous said...

I would definitely not give it any more hits, Adam cannot prevent stuff like this crap getting out on the Internet! It is not all that bad, but it is disrespectful to Adam! Adam is a great, talented human being and not a person who way of being is a cartoon, he a proud Gay man, his personal life is not a cartoon! Guest I am being to serious about it, may not bother him at all! I guess I cannot help when something offends me and this does! I think I am overly protective, if him he a big boy and do not think he let's this stuff bother him, it just disrespectful, to someone that deserves a lot if respect for being a brave proud gay man, I am always so proud of Adam how he handles thing in this sometimes unkind world! Sue

Adam must be the only gay person on the planet! I'm sorry, but no one and I mean no one is making fun of Frank Ocean, Ricky Martin, Elton John, etc. As a matter of fact, the word gay is never mention when articles are written about Frank Ocean. Adam seems to be the whipping boy!

Anonymous said...

Just sad!

Anonymous said...

i have to watch it a few times more it didn't make much sense to me.

Anonymous said...

LOL at 1:05PM. It is mentioned all the time that Frank Ocean is gay or bi in the articles about the fight with Chris Brown or winning a Grammy.

Anonymous said...

I find it so hilarious that many of the posts (so far) are about how it's disrespectful; perpetuating stupdity, etc. All this about a cartoon.
BUT! On any given day (actually every day) you can find so many of you "well-meaning", dedicated, uber-fans bashing Adam yourselves....ie, "don't like his hair; his outfit; OMG he's got facial hair again; wish he didn't have those back up singers--they ruin all his songs; wish he didn't have dancers or bring back the old dancers" and on and on infinitude....
I guess it's OK that you folks disrespect him cuz you always say "it's just my opinion". What a load of crap!
LOOK IN THE MIRROR PEOPLE!
BTW, I think Adam would think this cartoon is funny as hell and would not care on bit.
Louise

Anonymous said...

@Louise, you're wrong. Constructive criticism never hurts anyone, but brings about improvement. This cartoon offers an invitation to make fun of Adam's sexual orientation and gay people. Big difference!

Anonymous said...

@1:50 PM, Oh, yes, forgot about the National Enquirer. I read an artical recently in a large publication about Frank Ocean and the word gay was never mention, but in that same publication when an article was written about Adam, the first word on the page was "gay". It would be nice if the focus was on Adam's music, and not his sexual orientation.

Anonymous said...

Adam f'ing flaunts his gayness. All the other artists don't in the same manner. He's an open invitation. He wants to dish it out, then he needs to be prepared to take it.
And 1:51: So if someone expresses their approval of something Adam does, I suppose then they are entitled to their "opinion"?

Sorry but I dont get it? . . . Adamluv

I never say anything mean at all about Adam, his clothes, his facial hair, his boy friend which lot of you which many of you do! I can honestly say I have never said any thing disrespectful about Adam at all! Many Gay people flaunt their Gayness way more than Adam does! if it sea to you he is flaunting his gayness that just your narrow minded opinion, he is gay and he being himself! There are people in all parts of entertainment business, comedians who do it way more than Adam. One great thing about Adam he does not try to hide anything about him self! I highly doubt this cartoon would bother him at all! But if we are not crazy about it we have every right to say so, especially myself who never ever, been any thing but supportive of Adam! Just because he is himself, does not give anyone the right to disrespect him! Again doubt that This bother's Adam at all. Correction if it seems to you, not sea type mistake! I quite sure if he has seen this, he not loosing any sleep over it, I just did not like it I have a right!

@Serena, Yes

@Serena,

Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. In collaborative work, this kind of criticism is often a valuable tool in raising and maintaining performance standards.

Anonymous said...

I find this mildly disturbing. Adam projects that he can take it so he gets it. People may not be sure about other OUT figures, whether they might be more easily hurt. Who knows?

Dishing on hair costume band preferences is not in the same class as this. This is a ittle too close to mocking.

Anonymous said...

That if it's constructive!

Anonymous said...

I think @serena might have been questioning the assumption that anyone on this site is in the incredibly enlightened position to offer Adam constructive criticism. As in WTF do we know better than he does and why would he be combing this blog in search of advice.

Anonymous said...

That video is something called "satire" so it's actually a pro-gay thing. How have so many of you missed that? I'm sure Adam would find it funny and a compliment that they used lamberts as the measurement.

Anonymous said...

The thing is that he is not gay in a "traditionally accepted" or "safe" way, hell no, he is HOT and desired not only by gay men but also heterosexual women all over the world.

And that makes him a target of all kinds of stupid, irrelevant and plain evil remarks from a horde of online losers.

Anonymous said...

It's satire, people, satire!

Anonymous said...

@3:25 PM, go back and read all the posts. No one said anything about giving Adam constructive criticism or advice.

Anonymous said...

@2:35 P.M.

You're so off the mark,it's ridiculous.

tea said...

I agree with the first posting Anon 3:24 PM

Anonymous said...

2:16, I agree with you. Not liking someone's hair or dancers does not compare with making fun of someone's sexual orientation. It's not the same thing at all.

Anonymous said...

"That video is something called "satire" so it's actually a pro-gay thing. How have so many of you missed that? I'm sure Adam would find it funny and a compliment that they used lamberts as the measurement."

EXACTLY!

Anonymous said...

The bright side is the cartoon makes no sense.

Anonymous said...

If it was satire, then it would be funny. What is so funny about it? What did we miss?

Anonymous said...

I think it is actually pro-gay but the writer tries to cram to much in a small video, it goes too fast and much is lost.I'd like to get a gay persons opinion though.

Anonymous said...

4:17 PM, where to start... um, the gene for musical theater and parades instead of the gene for violence and beer; modern science measures it in lamberts; GOP sign on the building; success is based on compliance; popularity is the most important thing in the whole world; without gays christians wouldn't have anything left to hate until aliens make it to Earth; need I go on????

Anonymous said...

good or bad I sure would like to thank 24/7 for finding and posting all these incredible tidbits. This is a great site. Gets us thinking.

2:16, 3:11, 3:15 All are Lam-my posting without a tag. Gotya!

Anonymous said...

4:31 your comment makes alot of sense.

Anonymous said...

it was funny that they were showing the billboard for Wicked too.

Anonymous said...

Yes, I see now where it's funny. It just went too fast for me to comprehend it on just one viewing.

Anonymous said...

ALL of you people seriously need to get a life.

Clive Davis this morning at The View declared himself bisexual after having two marriages with women then having long term relationships with men after his divorce in 1985. I'm sure his case is same case as Elton John . . . BI now, GAY later.
During their time, they cannot just admit they're gay and tried their hardest to cover it up by marrying women initially and declaring bisexuality later after their marriages ended. Then get into relationship with men exclusively soon after. Meh!
Such hypocrisy, especially with Elton marrying Renata first then saying he is bisexual but now purely gay. Bisexuality for them is just a process of justification, don't believe a bit.

I watched the video before I read any of the commments. (Sometimes I do it the other way around.) The first think I thought of was that it IS satire. And it is. It's got a pro-gay, anti-homophobic message. It is NOT "funny ha-ha." It's trying in its clumby way to make a point about how stupid gay-haters are. It certainly wasn't that successful because so many here have differing opinions.

Personally, I think Adam would "get it." I think he'd think it was pretty funny.

Adam is a gay man who is comfortable making fun of himself and gay life. He's not shy about it. He goes to gay bars, openly, isn't shy about sharing old pictures of himself dressed VERY gay, and performs a few songs with a gay-related message. He knows that this can invite jabs and jokes, and it does. He wouldn't be surprised and neither should we. The satire here was pretty amateurish and clumsy, not very clever. But I'm not all "offended," either.

DRG (add Clive to the list of those who came out AFTER their success and not before.)

Some people struggle for years against accepting that they are gay. They don't want to admit that they are different, that they will not live what society considers a normal life. They think they can force themselves to conform and many do for years, but the agony and guilt make their lives miserable and often the lives of the person they have married. The courage to come out before they are found out must be very hard to do. Society is a tiny bit more accepting now but by no means is it an easy thing to do.

Thought this cartoon was very funny, and the "Lambert Meter" was spot on!

@4:31
Your synopsis is well done.

I think Adam would get a kick out of this cartoon and would think it to be very enlightening.

After reading this comments today, on my lunch hour, on my phone, without watching the video, I wasn't sure what my take would be on it.

Just watched it with my husband (I'm home and watched on my computer..). It was definitely satire. Neither my hubby nor I was offended. I suspect Adam wouldn't be either..but I would want him to speak for himself...Being gay is a tough deal sometimes. And I think that's at least one of points they were trying to make. Also loved the Wicked reference.. And the "Lambert" scale...Adam can be pretty "straight" and he can definitely be pretty "gay".. So maybe not a bad analogy. I love who he is. All of his many facets.....

It can go all ways about the coming out part. My friends husband just came out as gay he said he always knew it. Wow now everybody is suppose to be so happy for him and his partner, posting rainbow pictures on the internet acting like everything is fine. His wife and children and her family are devastated but the most important person, himself, is happy.

on YouTube this cartoon has over 80,000 views already. love the little Adam Lambert character.

Anonymous said...

The little gay boy is more Cheeks than Adam!

Anonymous said...

Why don't they just say they're gay? Stop being hypocrites by giving bisexuality as an excuse! Anything that's by choice is a perversion.

Anonymous said...

11:02 why do I get the feeling your ignorant statement is based on religious belief. Your an idiot.

Anonymous said...

Warning: 11:02 is a troll. Please do not respond to them.

Anonymous said...

I think bisexuality is just a way of excusing yourself for your involvement in heterosexual relationships while you don't want to choose a gay lifestyle. I believe they are really gay. You can't choose what you are but you can choose a lifestyle. Sad that people feel the need to choose a lifestyle so against their nature. That is why Adam is given such a hard time. He won't do that, even though it would make him more popular with the haters.

Anonymous said...

I happen to agree with 11:02 that choosing bisexuality when you are really gay is a perversion. Choosing heterosexuality when you are gay is a perversion by the same token. A gay person choosing a gay lifestyle is not a perversion.

I don't know if I believe there is anything such as bisexuality or not. I do believe it is often a cover-up.

Anonymous said...

9:42 pm Spot on! That's Cheeks. He is so likable.

Anonymous said...

3:53 here. It's probably not fair to call it a perversion when it is a result of an oppressive society. That's not much of a real choice. It's hard, but the real choice seems to be whether you choose to let society oppress you or not.

this has about 114,000 views now. I eventually grasped the humor here. The person doing the writing is quite clever and I am not. I subscribed to their channel.
