Sorry 2:53pm (aka grammar police), I believe it IS "than ME". Common mistake.

Actually, the commas are not necessary at all. It should just read as one continuous sentence with the period after "me".

Of course, I, could always, be wrong.

Ryan just gave a fun mention of Adam and glitter on AI tonight.

Anonymous said...

Ryan was talking about the guy who dresses in heels and wears feminine clothing, don't remember his name since I barely watch. I read it on another blog.He said we haven't seen that much glitter since Adam Lambert. Not sure if Ryan meant that as a compliment because Ryan can be passive aggressive about Adam. Like when during one radio interview Ryan stated Adam had old fans. I saw people of all ages when I was at his concerts for GNL.

Laura, it should be "I" at the end of the sentence. In your mind, add the word "do" and this trick will exactly tell you if it should be "me" or "I". Hence, "(I) finally found a guy who wears more makeup than I (do)". In her sentence, the word "do" at the end is assumed.

On AI, her/his name is Jada.
Ryan didn't know whether to hug her or shake his hand so he gave a high 5!! haha I thought Jada was great - really good voice and fun performer.
Right out there which is fabulous!!
Adam has paved the way - follow the glitter-brick road!

Let's assume Ryan was thinking of Adam sparkling during his performance of Beth with Kiss.

5:50pm...hmm, not sure you're correct, but now I'm not sure I'm correct either! Time for me to investigate!!

Thanks!

Ryan gave a shout out to our glittery Adam.Enjoyed the show alot tonight I didn't really care for the Elton John song guy but he made it anyways.

Anonymous said...

2:53 and 5:50 are correct. 5:50's tip about adding "do" is great. You can also add the verb to the end, e.g. a guy who wears more makeup than I wear.

I just love Adam's fans that do not speak English as their first language. I would be terrified to try to express myself in a language foreign to me, BUT, hats off to those wonderful Glamberts that just type out their hearts' feelings and never worry about all the rules and regulations of correct English. It is a beautiful thing! Nothing stops them from being a part of Adam's fandom. I am an English teacher and I just wanted to let Adam's non-American fans know how incredible they are!!! I get the biggest kick out of the fan that always refers to "Finland" as "Fenland". My love to all of you which is being sent from a very fastidious English professor).

Anonymous said...

STUNNING! I love life viewing and listening to Adam.

Anonymous said...

7:37 - 'Fenland' speller's first language is English.

Anonymous said...

7:37 nice comment. You might have me in with the mix and I was born and raised in the US. I misspell words, leave out key words ect. Some people on here have mentioned it but I don't mind I should have paided better attention in school and learned to type better. Is paided a word? maybe payed? oh well, see what I mean. lol

Anonymous said...

@ 7:46 PM I think so too; her first language is English. I've tried a couple of times in vain say that there is no such country as Fenland and the citizen of Finland is not a Fen, lol. But no big deal. Totally OT here.

So many goodies from Japan these days!

Anonymous said...

@ 7:46 PM-LMFAO-I did not know. I stand corrected in my assertion that the "Fenland" person is non-American. I still love this person because I have read a couple of comments directed to them that usually just state, 'Finland'-sort of like Adam's tweet, 'TEAM'-one word gets the point across to the perpetrator. Seriously, I really do just love Adam's fandom!

I thought I was back in my classroom teaching English grammar to high school students after reading the comments on this blog. The correct answer is "than I (do,wear). I think with people texting, using abbreviations, etc. in today's social media world, grammar and all of its rules have been forgotten or lost. But I am here to read about Adam Lambert, to watch the videos from his most recent concert and not to have a grammar lesson. Those days are gone for me, but I am always willing to help a former student or friend with anything written that needs to be edited, revised or corrected. Once an English teacher, always an English teacher
is my motto.

Adam has all ages of fans, unlike JB who fans range from 4 to 13, may few a bit older! Adam has toddler's to ninety I think! I have noticed for the most part in Asia they are younger, and other countries he still as some older ones to, but he does have more younger ones abroad than here, lots of the BDay videos's were quite young teens from different parts of the world noticing lots of Adam pictures in all there rooms! But he has all ages that is a misconception, seems some have about Adam just having older fans, he really does have all ages. One reason he will be around for years! It may seem like its great JB has all these really young fans but they are growing yo when bit mid twenties, they will grow away from in unless he ups his game a lot, when they get married and has kids! Adam fans will be here until they put us all I'm the ground, the real fans! I can't stand to watch Idol in it entirety, but only reason I tape it once in a while in case of any thing about Adam, so went back and heard that Jada. Adam never ever dressed like that nor did he ever wear a lot of glitter, on guys night or on the show! But, if he had I will have stilled loved him, seems like Ryan was trying to get in a Adam shout out! If the Audiance have a problem with gay people they are in trouble this year! The JAda guy is talented, I betting he does not make it to top 12 or 13 they will fine some reason to cut him, I really hope I am wrong! Think they are trying to compete with the voice, which has many gay people! I think the Jada guy is good, but no match for Adam voice! He better be glad Adam lambert was there first to pave the way, exceptable has gone up a bit sense the year if Adam L! Adam was not quite as much in your face as this guy, he still had a fight! If he gets farther up the chick fillet guy gonna have to spend major money to try to defeat him, poor guy! Now that everybody knows what he did maybe he won't! Anyway I wish him lots of luck, hope he does well the Jada guy, he not the only one there was a lot of them, but it's narrowed down!

I'm an English lanaguate nazi and I lose interest in reading posts where the spelling is wrong, the grammar is woeful and the punctuation is almost non-existent. I make mistakes occasionally but I always read my comments carefully before I post them as a matter of courtesy to other readers.

Anonymous said...

OOOO AAAAHHH!! Mistake - I should've spelt "language" correctly!!! Even English language nazis "stuff up" sometimes!!! ;-)

Anonymous said...

9:47 That Jda guy was eliminated tonight. I thought he was terrible and they let that Charlie kid past and he was terrible.

Anonymous said...

@9:47- the Jada guy didn't make it.I will say I think they have great talent this year (especially the girls. Loved how the audience gave a huge clap when Adam's name was mentioned.

Anonymous said...

10:13 talk about grandiose, but you gave me a good lol.

Anonymous said...

10:20 yes! There was a huge applause after Ryan mentioned Adam's name.

Anonymous said...

I guess overtly gay guys aren't welcome on AI - homophobic USA.

Anonymous said...

Back to topic ..... nice pic. :)

Anonymous said...

The girls are always better singers than the guys on American Idol, ADAM LAMBERT being the ONLY exception.

Anonymous said...

Jda making it that far proves times are changing, gay people are welcome on Idol and most of America isn't homophobic.

Last word as I come back for a final visit and answer...THANK YOU TO THE ENGLISH PROS FOR THEIR HELP! I'm always interested in getting the grammer and spelling correct, tho' not always successful. (Not that it's the end of the world to make a mistake.)

THANKS!

I think the contestants on AI this season are just mediocre. In my opinion the females overall are better than the guys. But, of course, I cant help but compare all of them to Adam from season 8. He set the bar so high that for me, no one comes close to him in vocal talent and stage presence. I love checking in each morning on this site to see any new pictures and videos of Adam in concert. He is just amazing and seems to be having fun enjoying the Tokyo nightlife.

JDa was entertaining, he was just on the wrong show, he should have been on RuPaul's Drag Queen show. and he knew he wouldn't be a finalist, that gay will never be chosen as an American Idol. Homosexual yes. Super Gay no.
