Oh my goodness, now they've deviated from chants to screams...that was fierce. Well, Adam will be thoroughly pampered here...See he doesn't even have to say a word; just beam that magnetic field. lol! I hope he makes a movie here at the Sentosa Universal Studios, in the near future; filming nooks and corners of Singapore and the little surrounding islands or Raffles Lighthouse which is rumoured to be haunted. lol! 'Haunted Lighthouse' starring Adam Lambert...Mmm I'll watch it all year round. lol! Can you imagine his voice soaring to the roof of the lighthouse with the beacon-light beaming...oooh.

So cool, so loved!

Is there anyone more loved in this world?

Yea it does surprise me in just 4 years, Adam can reach such an expansive worldwide audience; not only do we love his singing and voice but him! To me the latter is even more significant. It's not easy to garner so much passion from even a few people let alone, millions. Adam once said there is perfection in imperfection...perceptive; Adam mirrors that and that's one more reason why I'm intrigued.

@Lam-my ... I totally agree with you ... ADAM is so loved & admired by his fans Worldwide. However, here is an article that I found on Google a short while ago that has given me cause for concern. Please go there & read it & tell me what this means to you ...

Adam Lambert's concert gets an MDA 16 rating in Singapore ...

Apparently from what I could make of the article ... some religious council is saying that some of his songs ... OOL & Shady ... are about his experiences & the gay lifestyle ... it sounds like a lot of hogwash to me ... what do you think?

Tess
I went to the site on Adam Lambert in Singapore/MDA...one of them has been removed so I read one that's not so explicit; but mentioned something about gay lifestyle. Don't know much about this church but not to worry our government is secular and has not at all spoken against gay people; in fact in time to come, years down the road, it may be legalised. Right now apart from the signing of a legal marriage certificate, all things else are equal to them; my nephew is a transgender; he gets everything my children get, doing extremely well. What I love about Singapore among other things such as convenience, high standard of living and our yum yum food, is everything is based on meritocracy, not race, gender nor religion etc. This is not a widespread church but it seems they have a business arm in the Star Performing Arts Centre which is not owned by them. Again, Tess, no worries, the government keeps close tabs on religious groups of any denomination and will not hesitate to intervine when they sense any sort of disruption that can divide or incite national harmony. We are a small but very vibrant country; can't afford to rock the boat too much. Very very looking forward to seeing Adam and Glamily. Thanks for alerting me but one of the sites has been removed...see what I mean by keeping close tabs. It's not that big a church organisation but they have business in Singapore. Tess, I know you love Adam a lot lot! :)

bunch of hogwash religious council stupid one-its crazy.

Tess4adam

What is surprising about the churches statement? Several of the songs on TP are about Adam's gay lifestyle , we all should recognize that. Adam has even talked about it during interviews.

Lam my , what you are saying is that your government can suppress any religious group for what they consider just cause? not so here.

No Singapore is a democratic country and they do not "suppress" too strong a word; rather they have extensive dialogue and listen to both sides and come to a kind of give and take outcome...only, repeat only if absolutely necessary. In this case the government has a lot more urgent and pressing matters to attend to than intervene about a one-night concert! Goodness gracious! It's just entertainment for one night...no big deal! Our government has a lot more pressing problems on their plate than to see if Adam is singing correctly! lol! They only intervene in extreme cases which they think might interfere with Singapore's stability. As a world business hub peace and stability are crucial for Singapore. The complaint is only from a small church organisation. Adam's concert will hit off smoothly. I personally don't feel it's such a big deal. This is Adam's third show here; if Singapore was against gays, he won't be invited for the third time! Would he? Hey calm down! lol! Adam Rock-n-Roll on my birthday! Mmm I bet he's doing sound checks right now at Star Theatre!

Happy Birthday!! Tomorrow...one day before mine; I'll give a thought to your birthday at the Sing concert. Okay, I'll read Adam's responses to the church...Wow Adam is responding to a church in Singapore; he sure is getting noticed even across the globe! Buddhism and Taoism make up the bulk of the population's religions here; and they have no qualms whatsoever about gays. Goodness! Never expected a small church organisation taking notice of Adam...food for thought. Mmm...attention. lol!

Lam-my / Sister Glambert...nice name!

Lam-my,
Adam does so mirror perfection in imperfection. Thank you for sharing that. I am at least as intrigued by who Adam is as I am by his amazing voice. I think most fans are, and that is why he is loved so much.

OT
Lam-my, if I may...
If Buddhism and Taoism are the major religions in China and these 2 religions have no qualms about gays, then why do you suppose there is no marriage equality there yet?

You're welcome and I like your appreciation.

I really can't speak for China; I'm Singaporean. Every country has their own uniqueness and their own ways of determining laws etc. But what I briefly know is it's a largely atheist country so religion does not play a part in their decision making regarding marriage laws. But they are steeped in traditions.
You are so polite. :)

@tess
first of all Happy birthday:)

Don't worry about the 16 age thing for Adams concert, its merely an advisory, people below that age can still go to the concert, basically its up to the parents discretion, same as on films. No big deal.

I'm not worried about that kooky church group. Let'em fuss. Adam will do a great show for a very appreciative and loving audience. Everyone will survive, and Adam will move on his next show in Jakarta on Sunday. I think that's the next show, right?

It wouldn't be an Adam Lambert show without a little controversy. Hey, maybe it will get him a little publicity here in the U.S.

@ Lam-my........JAK here.....a dream birthday for you and how wonderful to share it with your daughter. Soak up enough joy to last you till Adam's next trip to Singapore.

I think some of our posters confuse Singapore with Shanghai and think Singapore is part of China...with same type of government. So there is some misconception.

@ tess4ADAM.....JAK here.....here on the east coast it's already your birthday, so I wish you and the other young lady in above post a very happy birthday. Remember, I'm still your senior! Come to think of it has anyone ever 'fessed up to being older than me? Now does that thought make me happy or sad? I'm still here so I'm happy! \o/

Thanks for the "soak up" wish but I've this comfortable feeling it's going to be a yearly affair. This is Adam's third visit. And thanks for the "young lady above" reference. Yea this birthday is going to be very memorable for me. :)
