Adam should 'explain' that it's Beck's song DEFRIENDED he was talking about in his tweet. Some tweeters out there thought that he was saying that being defriended by Beck was the shit :(. We all know that Adam fucking Lambert knows great talent when he hears it, like Beck.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out Adam meant the song Defriended, not unfriended on some social media.

You know not all Christians have a problem with gay people. There's plenty of us who welcome anyone and support LGBT equality including marriage. And we didn't need Adam to teach us that.

I know this doesn't apply but I was at work today and I thought about Adam and before I noticed I smiled like an idiot... then I realised how happy he makes me. :)

12:49am, I'm sorry, I meant no offense. My own 16 year old niece is a Christian and her dad, my brother, a Baptist Minister. I just relayed a cute story about her borrowing my Adam and Gaga cd's to download (a step I was a little surprised her parents were okay with - being very protective). My brother was the one that turned me on to Adam when he was on Idol and still thinks Adam is the best talent to come off the show.

I have many. some strict, Christian friends that would give you the shirt off their back ... but are still struggling with gay acceptance, gay marriage, etc. It's a work in progress for a many.

I am happy you support LGBT issues, including marriage. I think you were more progressive than I was. In my case, I actually DID need Adam to teach me. Even having gay friends, I really didn't give equality issues much thought before he came onto the scene.

So anyway, glad we can be friends and fans together!

Ignorance in "that country"? From one Canadian to another: do you really think that our country is any more tolerant than the US? Can we really congratulate ourselves because our courts beat US courts to same-sex marriage?

Canada's current PM was elected to office based, in part, on a promise to overturn same-sex marriage (nvm that he lied about his ability to do that.) Canada's biggest city has a mayor who would rather party with crack heads than LGBTQ people and he was elected by a massive majority.

You can't legislate attitudes. Ignorance will always be with us, wherever we live.

Yes, the Supreme Court did a good thing striking down DOMA, and hopefully state by state eventually our country will give equal federal rights to citizens of all sexual orientations. Yea!
However they also overturned a section of the 1965 Voting RightsAct. They left regulations in the hands of the states.
Which will cause havoc....again ....states who will benefit from making it darn near impossible to qualify for a voter's registration card. TX - FL- and plenty others
are celebrating.
After the 1965 act, Louisana came up with a test for first time black voters... I don't know how many questions they had to be able to answer in the 10 minutes they were given but these are a few. See how you would have done!

@JAK - the decision on the Voting Rights Act was just plain wrong! The idea that discrimination is no longer an issue is ludicrous! I read that minutes after this decision came down from the courts, Texas already started to put back the obstacles that the Voting Rights Act had originately made ILLEGAL!!!!!!! . . . Adamluv

JAK, what amazing information you have posted! Sounds like we have gone one step forward but two steps back. You would think that in our "englightened" year of 2013, each state would use common sense and fairness to allow their citizens to vote. Let's hope so. That 1965 test you posted is incredible. The purpose is obvious: to keep as many blacks as possible from voting. I couln't pass that test to save my life, esp. in the time allowed. I cannot imagine this kind of thing happening again, but old cultural habits die hard. Prejudice, of course, is not confined to the Southern states. The demise of DOMA is a great step forward, but as 3:40 said, ignorance will always be with us, wherever we live.

I am anxious to read the new requirements for registration in Texas, Perry seems quite full of glee.
With mid term elections coming up, it is imperative for the GOP to prevent as many Hispanics, Blacks and students as possible from voting to overturn the GOP majority in the House of Rep. In past weeks we have had 2 articles with 5 or more statements each by current GOP representatives misrepresenting The Affordable Care Act and the new Immigration reform bill investigated by Politifact and rated
"pants on fire" outright lies. Unfortunately people hear the lie and don't hear a retraction when the lies are proven incorrect.
Fortunately this country does not have change of government by bloody revolutions, but there is a lot of damn bloody lying going on. -o-

I would suggest that the Goveror and every single member of the state legislature be required to take the test that @JAK referred to...in order to keep their seats. And be required to PASS the test.. I suspect the test would see some major revisions before being implemented... Seems only fair. :))

Serious, I typed, observation because of your "external" word as opposed to Adam's "internal"; and it struck me as sharp observation not obsession. I only realised it when I read it and couldn't quite believe it! I guess with Adam, it's more an obsession with us. Also, a case of the brain working one way and the fingers not obeying.
