You are so right-the greatest gift a teacher can receive is to be remembered.
Your Mrs. Morris and Miss Richmond would be so proud of the woman you are;your kindness, intelligence and loving heart are reflected in everything you write--and is clearly the reason so many on this site respond with positivity and warmth to the things you say about Adam-and life, in general. Although we have never met-and live across the continent from each other-I will say to you, the only words I thought to say when I met Adam in July, "You have a special place in my heart."
And ,by the way, the only reason I was able to meet Adam was because of one of my former 5th grade students, Jesse Lozano,currently the on-air personality on 94.1 FM radio, who set up the backstage event. Jesse shared many of his 5th grade memories with me on the radio before that day,and I treasure {and am humbled by} all that he recalled.As teachers, we hold a sacred trust with each child who walks into our classrooms.I'm so glad that Jesse remembered me and even more thrilled at the young man he has become.

Glee isn't known to be consistent in doing a great job with certain roles and storylines. Big differences.
