ha, ha Dr. Bri has such a good sense of humor. I would pick STL.

LOL, I love Brian, it`s a way to go!

Dr. Bri must be feeling good after his knee replacement surgery. Can't wait to see the vids or the re-broadcast of the Queenbert show on the local CW station here in NJ.

I'm busy figuring out all those initials...You'd think I'd know!
I don't believe I saw DSMN...I love that......JAK

Brian has obviously always been active in his music, and now Adam is bringing him a new dimension and new excitement for all involved. Glad you're still enjoying the ride Bri and Roger.

As popular as BR is, why is it not listed?

Anonymous said...

Could some incredible Glambert (JAK), fill us in on the entire names of the songs? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for giving all the titles to the song first letters. I didn't know them all either. My two favorites are WWTLF and IWIA. But after looking at the entire list, I would want to hear Adam perform all of them. So glad there is this friendship and mutual admiration between Brian and Adam. The Queenbert concert should be something amaaaaazing.

Don't forget BR or Bo Rap for Bohemian Rhapsody.

I hope they do Somebody to Love and the Under Pressure duet. Adam and Roger are so charming together on that. I don't do twitter, somebody tweet Brian for me ;)

Dr. Bri seems REALLY excited for this show! His knee must be feeling good. He seems surprised at the response to his song request, but of course he shouldn't be, because, after all, we ARE Adam Lambert fans. I'm glad he realizes the enthusiasm for a possible Bowie appearance. Don't think it will happen, at least this time, but who knows? Now that he knows how much the fans would love it, maybe it will happen at some point. I hope Bowie is aware of how much Queen respects Adam as a vocalist and performer. I'm open to any songs that Adam will sing with them at IHR, but I cant' do without WWTLF.
I think BoRap didn't get high votes because it's really not a singer's showcase tupe of song. It's more of a little playlet, with that "jury" singing and all. I LOVE the song, but the other songs are bigger showcases for Adam's voice. They may do BR anyway. If so, I'll love that, too!!!

Adele, thank you for being such a doll and supplying us with the songs actual names.

I swear, I am having rapid heart palpitations at the prospect of hearing my Rock God, Adam, perform with Queen. Does anybody have any idea of how many songs they will get to perform on stage during their set? I bet you anything that Adam is going to kill us with a spectacular outfit designed by the Blonds for this US debut with Queen. I have just got to hear WWTLF and Under Pressure and Somebody to Love. I have chill bumps right now as I type this post. G-d, I love Adam Lambert and Queen!!!!!!

I'm getting real excited now! I love
WWTLF, UP, TSMGO, STL, and AOBTD! But, I would be thrilled to hear Adam sing any of these great songs! He will be so awesome - just can't wait!

2:39 I've seen reports of an hour show. Maybe somebody who has been to a previous iheart festival would know how long the acts usually run.

Anonymous said...

WWTLF will always be my favorite,Adam just about brought me to tears with that one.

Anonymous said...

I want em all I want em all and I want em now. I want a full concert in the US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

None of the ones on the list except Dragon Attack and Another One Bites The Dust. Remember iHeart is having mega current artists like Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake and others. Most attendees and viewers are fans of these mega artists. Not too many of them unfortunately are familiar with Queen catalog. So in order to blend in with other acts of the night. Either songs that are heard a lot on sports arenas like We Are The Champion, We Will Rock You. Under Pressure is another mostly familiar song among today young crowds. Or tracks that fit in well with today's music. Dragon Attack has a funk bit to it. I'm not that much familiar with their catalog of music but all the ballads having the high percentage won't favor the young crowds of current artists. Well they're icon they know way better what to include on their list.

Love DA, particularly the way he sang it in Kiev.Hope they do it.

I think I heard recently that they would have about 45 minutes, so they could do several songs!

lorraine said...

I loved looking at the joy in Adam's face when he sang I WANT TO BREAK FREE so I'd love to hear him sing that.And--for the sheer rock ecstasy of it ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

I'm getting SOOOO excited -and I couldn't even get tickets to go!

Anonymous said...

3:57, you know young people going to the concert aren't familiar with Queen's music despite you're not familiar with their catalog? What? Talk about a sweeping generalization based on nothing.

Anonymous said...

@3:57
Your inexperience and lack of music knowledge is showing. You seem to be more of a fan of those mega stars, so I suggest you leave Adam & Queen alone!

C'moon, everybody knows Queen all over the world, if not all their songs, then their reputation as a legendary band. I'm pretty sure all these younger names also know the legacy of Queen. Imo you can't call yourself a pro if you don't know them.

I'm so excited that whether Adam sings a few or more songs the people there (young or old) get to hear REAL SINGING FROM A REAL PRO WITH A MEGA VOICE --- sorry to say but none of the 'mega stars' you mentioned (KP, BM, JT, RT) has a voice worth mentioning (compared to Adam) and I would not call R. Thicke a mega star...

Anonymous said...

3:57, I think you're selling the younger audiences very short. I think those who will see Queen's performance with Adam will be pleasantly surprised. Some of them may know more Queen songs than you might think. I thinnk it will be a great show.

JAK here......I hope this won't seem OT.
Just a few things about a couple of Queen songs.
Brian May wrote the music and lyrics for WWTLF for the soundtrack of the first Highlander film...the scene where Connor MacLeod ( the Immortal ) is holding his aged and dying wife on the Scottish hillside. Every time I hear it my heart feels like it's cracking, especially the way Adam sings it......sniff sniff.

The Show Must Go On was recorded when Freddie was so ill that Brian did not think Freddie had the strength to sing it.
Freddie slugged down some vodka and said " I'll f***ing
do it darling" and he did in one take.

We are the Champions was written as a "take that" or FU to the music critics who almost always gave them rotten reviews....especially Rolling Stone!

Brian is still busy writing soundtracks for film and video games. What a guy !!!!! <3

I think the AL version of WWTLF is one of the best vocals EVER. Damn that song hits you like a sledgehammer everytime.

Anonymous said...

My# 1 is Somebody to love!!!!!:)

He was magnificent performing this song!!!!:)

#2 is Who wants to live Forever!!!

Killer voice indeed!!!

and so onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!:)

@JAK Thanks for all your Queen info! I did not realize much of the background of my favorite songs WWTLF and TSMGO! This knowledge makes these songs even more special in my heart. I love how Adam gives the songs the deep emotion they deserve.
Brian May is so special and must be overwhelmed by Adam's heart-wrenching vocals. His performance is truly stunning>>>>>>>nancdruuu2

Adam singing Somebody to Love outshines the version I just heard on X Factor by a million times

Anne Marie said...

Brian did expect to hear that Adams fans might like to hear Adam sing some of his own songs. He said the question was what would you like to hear Adam sing, not necessarily Queens music. They are open for it. So Fans you can still tweet Brian about any of Adam's songs you would like to hear.

Anonymous said...

I'm all for Tie Your Mother Down. the guitar riff is classic.

Everytime I want to hear Adam at his most magnificient performance, I go back to June 30, 2012, to Kiev, Ukraine. Not one singer, I reiterate no singer, could ever beat the incredible vocals that he put forth that magical ethereal evening! PURE BLISS!!!!

Magiclady said...

@7:27
I agree. Out of all the Queenbert shows last year, I think Kiev was the best!

Anonymous said...

I have talked to a lot of college students the past number of weeks and not one of them is going to the IHEART festival because they cannot afford the tickets. Imho, I think the crowd will be a little older-ones that can afford the atrocious prices of the tickets. It will be totally worth it, but these kind of ticket prices really wipe out the much younger crowd unless they have rich parents. My hairdresser, who is 21 years old, also told me that he and his friends were quickly twarted by the costs, even though he said that all of them are dying to attend. It will be very interesting to see the average age of the crowd!

OOPS-think I posted above on the wrong thread @ 8:20 PM.

@JAK thanks for the info and I agree with your song choice! I also love DSMN but others are a close 2nd, 3rd, 4th...

Anonymous said...

OMG-could you even possibly imagine Queen performing SLEEPWALKER with Adam? The guitar solo would be OUT OF THIS FREAKIN' WORLD with Brian at the strings.

Anonymous said...

They could pull off Shady well too.

Anonymous said...

If Adam sings his song with Queen...that is a whole new dynamic. Dr Brian and Roger are magnanimous if this actually happens and they can even release it as a single. I am thinking Adam sings Lay Me Down with Queen...whoa, but with Nile's and Avivii's consent and blessing; since Avicii may/may not be releasing it as a single. That song fits Brian's shrill guitar and Roger's solid drums and of course Adam brings up the rear or front or both. lwl!

As for Queen songs I'd like them to do The Show Must Go On, because that was the final Freddie performance and at that time Dr Brian was afraid Freddie would not make it. I've watched that video, very very touching; his voice was on the verge of a make or break but he completed the show and that was his swan song. Who Wants To Live Forever, too another poignant song, written by Dr Brian in his depression after Freddie was gone and he thought that would be the end of Queen. And that is one of the reasons why Brian loves Adam who revitalised / restored Freddie/Queen music. Yes there were other Freddie stand-ins but it was Adam who touched Dr Brian so much, he cried on stage. Somehow, my favourite is still I Want To Break Free, with or without split pants. lol!

My vote for this momentous occasion of Adam + Queen in the USA is -- dah, dah:

for Adam's voice - Who Wants to Live Forever
for Adam's sexiest seduction and that great QUEEN guitarist - Dragon Attack
for Adam helping to move QUEEN forward after Freddie -- The Show Must Go On
for Brian, Rodger, Adam's Celebration of QUEEN's famous past and present -- We Are The Champions
and a song that celebrates Adam's march toward fame, how about debuting a QUEEN arrangement of Runnin.
These are MY dreams I am soooooo excited for iHeart :) Beverly

I miss Adam. This is pretty much the longest time with no sightings.

Hold your horses and get real, peeps!
There is such a thing as professional courtesy and respect among musicians (too) and no way Dr. Bri would play Shady or LMD unless Nile was on stage, too!

Anonymous said...

5:55, Don't worry. We're not seeing much of Adam because he is busy, and that's a good thing.

IHR is only a week away! I'm starting to visualize what Adam might be wearing, whether Melvin will be gone, etc. Hope they get to play more than just two or three songs. For the price of those tickets, it should be more. Great vids will come, I hope!

Dr. Bri says there may be a few surprises. Hope so!

DRG, for the price of those tickets they also get Elton John, Katy Perry, Muse, Keith Urban and a couple more besides Queen and Adam.
