JAK here....she scooted right past Matt's mention of Adam. Matt is no stranger to Adam's exceptional voice. He wrote Soaked on the FYE album and he's certainly aware that his beautiful song Starlight that Adam covered was a crowd pleaser everywhere Adam sang it.

I liked Adam's take on it better than Matt's. Not exactly surprising since I also prefer Adam's cover of Rihanna's Stay and, oh face it....I've loved every cover Adam's ever done!!!!

@JAK... yeah, I also noticed that...

Honestly speaking.. I got to know Muse because Adam talked about them so often during the American Idol journey... He used their version of "Feeling Good"in the top 5 and sang their song "Starlight" during the Idol tour.. And when I heard Adam singing "Soaked" live on stage.. it gave me the chills... almost the same as the "Who wants to live forever" Vegas version...

@ 10:02....I know what you mean, chills for me too. My eldest daughter has been a hard sell trying to turn her into a Glambert. She's purely a rock fan.
I bought her a copy of FYE when it was released, then asked did you like it? She said "I liked Soaked and Time for Miracles" ..." Well then you do like something besides rock, you like ballads"...

She said, "those two songs are rock power ballads, if Adam makes a rock album I'll buy it, he's got a great voice!"

I think she's like a lot of fans from Idol days, they are waiting for a rock album from Adam. Maybe next time!

As long as it's a good rock album.

It is so great to read all these positive comments about Adam from those in the music world. They just can't say enough about his vocal performance with Queen. Now let's see how all this translates into what the future holds for Adam as he works on his third album. I guess many of us are now waiting for a rock album. Time will tell what the focus of Adam's next album will be. He should feel so good about his performance with Queen on Friday and go onto the Glee set this coming week on a positive note.

@ 6:14...yes, we dreamers are enjoying the happy highs right now of the roller coaster of Adam's career. This was another wonderful peak. Think how ecstatic he must be!

I personally would welcome a rock album, a ballad album, funk, disco, R&B or combination . Not fond of rap or fizzy pop music. I would love to have had the cover album that was discussed and soundly rejected by Adam.

But I understand his underlying reason for doing so at this point in time. I am from the decades when writers wrote and singers sang......not many were singer/ songwriters until maybe the 60's when folk singers were popular and "message" songs were filling the record shops and radio. Peace, Love and Stop the War songs.

Now artists want to write their own songs for financial as well as artistic reasons. It's their decision to make. The national exposure Adam got this week to a varied audience can only help.....I hope...I hope!

Love Muse and that Matt spoke out about Adam - good for him! That silly girl lost a good opportunity to show Matt and Adam some respect for their mutual admiration. The way Adam sang Starlight was chill-worthy!
The song showcased the beauty in Adam's voice and his musicality is truly inspiring. Adam is a singer's singer and Matt recognized that!
