I would probably do the same thing if I didn't forbid my tween son and daughter from doing something similar in theirs!!! Shit, now I gotta follow through! :) But you should see my walk in closet! ;)

My husband likes Adam a lot, but I don't think he'd go for me doing this to our bedroom. LOL

I did do that to my home office and I'm 73 - never too old to be under Adam's spell. And who cares what others think - it's my life so I do what I want too!! Feel So Lucky - got to attend his amazing concert at Gay Pride in PA.

My two daughters had bedrooms that looked very much
like this! I gave them free choice in their kingdoms.

Since I traveled all the time in my childhood I never had a "room" so when my dad finally left the army and we bought a home, my mother made it "perfect" her 15 year dream come true. My room was all honey maple furn. And icy blue walls and white lace curtains and comforter on bed. Everything was new and matched. I had one small bulletin board to pin things on.

I never complained since she took such pleasure in the room. I wanted an oriental carpet, beaded lamps, a mattress on the floor, a painted and lacquered Chinese chest, etc. That would have been the real me..

When I had teens their rooms expressed their personalities....eldest...Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band. Beatles album covers on walls, photos of the Bee Gees, heart cut outs hanging from red satin ribbons from the ceiling, red shag rug and a huge Peter Frampton poster over....mattress on floor.....the youngest's room was all white and gold furniture, 4 poster bed, lavender ruffles on bed and windows and fairy decals on ceiling.
And a family of stuffed animals.

Today I live in a museum of everything I love jumbled together........a haven. And my girls are the neat ones!
My mother's genes I guess!

I had a poster of Paul Newman on the back of my loo door when I was young .... now, that's aging me. My pictures folder has a gazillion pics of Adam.

I had pictures of Elvis on my walls when I was young, followed by posters of David Essex and Paul Young....
