#LayMeDown @adamlambert
I hope it's a hit record.
Yes wrong choice of words but I guess if Adam didn't want to do covers they basically said ok you can go. But who cares screw RCA thats what I say. If this had not happened he wouldn't be in the great position he is now. All good things are going to happen now. Very happy for Adam
Love this guy! Legend! Inspiring!
Nile has a lovely speaking voice. I could listen to him speak for a long, long time .... ditto Adam, of course. :-)
Adam was dropped by RCA - that's not what we were told - and he doesn't have a new label yet? Hmmmm, I guess time will tell. Love Nile.
IMO, RCA offered Adam a deal that they figured he wouldn't take. And he didn't. That's just one way of dropping someone. Technically, Adam walked away, but RCA gave him an out without dropping him outright. At least that's how it looks to me.
Nile said he was dropped. He didn't say it was mutual he said he was dropped. Hope Nile can keep Adam a little more to the center. Lay Me Down and WWFM were and will be hits. They aren't so gay. You would think Adam could figure it out. That last alblum was a disaster in sales. I read where Adam wanted sole control of that alblum. If it didn't work it would be him. Well guess what? They gave him the rope. It is a sad thing because he is a great, great singer. This crap about wanting to be true to yourself is for the birds if no one will buy it.
JAK here........No, Wanting to be true to yourself is not crap, but it can be risky, Adam took the risk. Trespassing was not a great selling album, but it will always be the expression of what Adam wanted to tell the world and it has a lot of darnn good music. It will always mean a lot to many people.
He is learning from album to album, he tried to revive Glam in the first, he tried being personal in the second, he says he's feeling a little retro for the next, rock, funk, disco, even a smidgen of R&B ...... That all sounds good to me. We shall see.
I think doing what he feels rather than what makes the bucks means a lot to him. He's doing okay financially.
Adam reminds me of the wise words....To thine own self
be true. For instance he keeps the friends he loves and
who love him rather than dump them for "more suitable" companions in the eyes of someone else. Smart, compassionate loving guy. A loyal friend is not someone you throw away.
@JAK....So beautifully spoken. Thanks
I needed that.>>>>>>>>>>>>nancdruuu2
