Enjoyed the show and will watch again next week. Very entertaining. Adam was great as usual.

This one is really silly but if you like voting for Adam...

Who is the person with Adam?

Anonymous said...

Probably one of the drag performers.
I didn't watch the show. Not interested.
Please no homophobic accusations.
I also don't watch The Bachelor, The Kardashions, Duck Dynasty, cooking shows, shows about murder and morgue slabs, any Housewives of Anywhere or Fox News. Too many good books on my must read list waiting for me.

JAK here.....OT..OT...@rose petal....I left you a message on the Tomorrow Glee thread......the one with your poem.

@3:04AM
He is Ish Bermudez Jr, a celebrity makeup artist, photographer and drag artist. He says: "...I've had this pic for about a year and I'm very excited to share it...". So that show was taped a year ago?

Anonymous said...

3:04, he is the hair and makeup person for the show.

3:20 am, I also don't watch reality shows but I did watch this episode. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very funny.

Anonymous said...

Shhhhhh! 3:20 am is busy reading really important things, like this blog.

3:20
i'm not fan of reality shows ether
too much drama and really boring to me

3:20 AM
Good to see I'm not the only one. I do, however, read this Adam blog but no others. :)

Anonymous said...

I have not watched this show but because of Adam I watched last night and I found it surprisingly entertaining....loved seeing Adam...

Anonymous said...

Nice to see some people stepping out of their usual patterns and finding they liked something. Though I'm still not recommending doing this with the Kardashians ;)

Anonymous said...

Adam was gorgeous on Ru Paul. Loved him as a judge!!!!

This is 3:20... Also known as JAK, I forgot to tag.
I did not mean to imply I don't watch TV .... Just that reading was my first and favorite love. Right now I am in ecstasy frolicking thru another 1000 page Ken Follett book about Medieval England. Now, that's entertainment!

I watch TV....from Downton Abbey to the super silly Big Bang Theory! I'm in love with Sheldon, the wonderfully clueless PhD. One of my son in laws is a semi Sheldon...Tons of degrees and mostly serious but we are corrupting him as fast as we can! He is an exotic orchid now growing in a field of wild daisies...us!

I have seen RuPaul's shows and I don't find them interesting, but I have found him very interesting on interviews over many years. He's smart and witty a winning combination.

I didn't get to watch DragRace but twitter was a lot of fun last night about the program and they were shipping Adam with April. Sounds like it was a fun program. don't forget GLEE tonight whatever you guys do.

Anonymous said...

3:45, No, it had to be two different incidents. The Drag Race was taped just a while ago. This pic must have been taken last year somewhere else.

Anonymous said...

@3:45 Adam is wearing what he wore on the RuPaul show. It must have been at the taping.

Anonymous said...

Sorry that was meant for 6:09.

OT
JAK, are you watching the new series of Downton Abbey? It's just started in Oz. Love that show. Also love other British dramas The Paradise and Mr Selfridge.

Adam did such a good job on the Rupaul Drag Race show; very witty and likeable personality on there; just like everywhere he appears.

I thought Adam's interaction with the contestants and judges was charming and hilarious all at the same time. Adam looked so handsome.

Saw a cute tweet; someone said their tweeter feed was full with pictures and tweets of all the "pretty boys" crushing on Adam during and after the show. She said that Adam was picking up new fans and the responses were still going strong. Read this over on Adam Official.

So happy for Adam; seems he is getting praise from everywhere!
I will watch everything that Adam is on. It is so wonderful to see him; I just come away with a good feeling!

Tonight is going to be epic for our BB, I do believe. I can't wait to see Glee.

@JAK,

I echo your sentiments regarding reality TV, though I judge nobody for watching them. I watch a lot of home makeover shows and I do no making over my own home whatsoever, so sort of a waste of time on my part I suppose, lol.

Anyway, I wanted to say that I watch, follow, only a handful of TV shows but I love love love The Big Bang Theory also. I believe that the show has actually hinted at, or even more directly indicated, that Sheldon has Asperger's ... so his "quirky" is built in, so to speak, and not solely a product of his intellect or upbringing or environment (as it is written on the show obviously). Doesn't matter, just something I thought you'd be interested in knowing if you didn't already. And I might be altogether wrong ... but I think his having an Asperger's like challenge is an accepted understanding on the show.

I am generally wild about "camp", but RuPaul is a little too camp for me (I don't quite know why, because I dig sort of thing normally, I think it may simply be that, presented in this format, it is Reality TV, and that bugs me on some level generally). However, when you listen closely, wow there are some funny lines and laugh out loud humor delivered beautifully. Also I find the human interest part of it compelling. In any event, Adam was, as someone said upthread, so likeable as usual. A win/win.

Anonymous said...

7:25 here
When I say RuPaul - I mean the show, not the human being. He is not too camp for me, in fact I find him utterly charming, funny, intellectual and sincere.

Anonymous said...

I want Ish Bermudez Jr to do my eyes just like his!!!! Gosh, I love how he did his own eyes. Not subtle, definitely dramatic, but yet subtle too somehow, kind of soft, a soft result, despite the darker colors used! LOL.

Anonymous said...

I'm 6:09, Yes, you must be right, 6:24. The tweet was a little confusing.

I couldn't watch last night. No LOGO. I tried to watch the full show link on AO, but it jumps and skips, etc. Didn't even get to the Adam parts. I did see the beginning a little and thought the queens were hilarious. Hope the see more of it posted somewhere.

I don't watch reality shows, either. A couple of my sisters are big into Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, etc., but not me. I love The Big Bang Theory, The Middle and Modern Family, as far as sitcoms go. I'm a reader, too, so that balances things out.

So happy that Adam is getting good feedback from the Drag Race.

I keep thinking how following Adam has taken me to very exotic and interesting "places" in the world that I would never have traveled to otherwise. Opens my eyes and my brain and my knowledge and my heart to the whole of humanity.

I'm disappointed I couldn't watch it on TV last night, no Logo. I went to my daughter's but she also didn't get Logo ( thought she did). Later in the evening I tried the recorded live stream a few times but I never found the Adam part (((.

I was hoping some clips would be posted here but not yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm definitely ready for Glee tonight!

CT you can watch it on MJS here http://www.mjsbigblog.com/rupauls-drag-race-season-6-episode-1-recap-video.htm

Disappointed not hardly any Adam.

Anonymous said...

Is Adam on more episodes in this show or last night was his only time as a guest judge? He looked wonderful and did a fabulous job. More Adam on TV. Like to see him and Chris as mentors on Idol again.

Anonymous said...

CT /@7:55 AM

I saw a good clear tape of the show on the Logo Official site. Got information from Adam Official site/under Adam discussion.

I think this was the one and only episode that Adam will be on in terms of the judging panel. Not entirely sure, but I think so.

I am familiar with the show, so I knew I could do some other things while the show ran, organized my magazines, very productive ;).

And not to rub it in or anything, but lordy lordy Adam's gorgeous self was sooooo delicious on my big screen HD tv :). But no worries fellow fans, GLEE TONIGHT! Enjoy all.

Anonymous said...

Never watched this show before. I found it funny. Adam looked gorgeous on my TV.

Can't wait for tonight to watch him on Glee. More Adam on Glee and Idol again please.

Anonymous said...

Thank you anon 3:20, my sentiments exactly.
Where is Khloe kardashian? Thought she is part of the judges...

Anonymous said...

@8:37 She will be on anther episode. They have guest judges.

Adam was gorgeous and did a great job on RuPauls drag Race, but I am really excited for Glee tonight. We hear Adam sing!!!His acting is quite good also, counting down the hours!

You can watch the full episode now on logotv.com

DRG, jumps and skips? Don't you have trouble with things freezing up too? If so, the problem may be you need a faster connection from your ISP or more memory in your computer. If your computer is pretty new then it is that the connection is too slow. In the meantime you can try clicking play, then pause until the vid is buffered and then click play again.

I though it was priceless Adams expression after one of his comments to one of the drag Querns. He gave her constructive but kind of a negative cretique she /he gave a really crazy response the face Adam made was priceless It made my lousy day I laughed and laughed. He did a great job and he was gorgeous. He did think April was all of it and a bag of chip as far as the way she looked both telling each other they were Gorgeous and both were, are. I loved Adam as a judge there and I think that show did him more good than we ever thought it would. Will I watch it without Adam no he made it for me but it was funny and RP is good on there.

Anonymous said...

I really enjoyed the show watching it on Logo; It was so funny; and Adam's reactions to some of the comments was so funny. Kept me in stiches. I was able to skip a lot on the second time around and went straight to the contestants coming out and the judges comment. The way some of the contestants were acting was funny, funny, funny. Very entertaining.

Loved Adam's laughter and good humor. Also, his seriousness when he was commenting; So class. Had his on ideas, and didnot mind having very different opinons. So kind, and honest.

Anonymous said...

9.22 correction that was drag Queen hit wrong key, sorry.

Anonymous said...

@9:22 AM

That look on Adam's face had me cracking up, I had to arrow back and see it several times. The drag queen gave him such a funny response. It was so entertaining.
He was really charmed by the one that told him that he was beautiful too. So cute; their interaction!! Our man did well, as usual!!

Anonymous said...

Gave the AO link another try and it was a little better. Stuck with in to the end where the judges give their opinions on each contestant. Love Adam so much. He's a doll and so cute. Almost a little shy in this venue, but honest and true nonetheless. Love how the boys are fawning over him!

I never write in all caps but just have to say:

TONIGHT IS GLEE AND I CAN HARDLY WAIT!!!!!!!!

@DRG

AMEN TO EVERYTHING YOU SAID!!!

Looking so forward to tonight also. Want to get everything done and out of the way so I can watch in a relaxed mood. Hope it is also on youtube for those who can't see it right away. Thank goodness I can get this on my TV and will DVR it also; so I can watch it whenever I like. Can't wait until tonight.

So exciting following this wonderful, talented, gracious, kind man!!! So proud to call myself a fan.

Interesting article from the UK Guardian about RuPaul's Drag Race, RuPaul, and some insight into the drag world and the people who inhabit it. I would recommend reading it for some greater understanding...

"RuPaul: Drag Race 'has exactly the effect we thought it might have'
With a sixth season premiering Monday, Drag Race is the type of show that influences, not follows, pop culture trends. RuPaul talks to Katie Rogers about the show’s evolution"

http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2014/feb/24/rupaul-drag-race-lgbt-impact-pop-culture-tv

Some excerpts from the fairly long article:

" “We’re dealing with people who have been shunned by society and have made a life regardless of what anyone else thinks of them have decided,” RuPaul says. “It shows the tenacity of the human spirit, which each of us watching relates to. And we root for them. I think that’s what’s so captivating about it, seeing how these beautiful creatures have managed to prevail.” "

"Nearly every competing performer has overcome some sort of adversity or prejudice from family members, peers or the outside world in order to perfect their art, and the human spirit RuPaul knew would shine through has made this show a hit."

" “Anyone who’s been on the outside of mainstream society has a different perspective,” he says about the contestants, in a recent interview with the [UK] Guardian. “People who have lived on the outside understand that what’s inside the box is a hoax, actually a big illusion.” "

"Dig deeper, and the show has set itself a bigger mission: to hold up a mirror to the masks we wear in society. Nearly every contestant strutting the runway in sequins and lip gloss has had to overcome adversity and prejudice from family members, peers, or strangers. The focal point of the show is the sharp instincts and well-honed wit that drag queens develop – first to protect themselves, and then to succeed as performers..."

@ 6:33 am.....Yes, the season that is beginning there of Downtown Abbey, ended here Sunday night! I watch all BBC productions and Masterpiece Classic features, its always a treat! I am a thorough Anglophile!.....JAK

I enjoy both of RuPaul's shows. Drag Race and Drag U, they're really entertaining. I just marvel at the talent that the Drag Queens have, and they're creative, witty, and beautiful. Good light hearted fun.

Happy Days!

B at 7:22 am.....JAK here.....yes, I've seen some OCD in Sheldon and of course his difficulty in social situations.....
It's one of the few TV shows, other than news programs, that my husband and I watch together. It never fails to give us a good laugh or two. I bought my husband a "knock knock Penny" x 3...tee shirt to sleep in. :-)

@JAK
Big Bang Theory is a favorite of both my hubby and myself too. In fact the whole family are fans.. Such great writing, and razor sharp timing by the cast.. And love those "in" jokes...

Glitzylady 10:20am, thank you for posting the UK article to help folks understand Drag and Drag performers. I've watched a few seasons and felt my heart opening with each story these courageous Ladies have lived. It's so easy to judge things we're unfamiliar with, that look odd or out of the norm. I think they're very creative and artsy and, for the most part, beautiful souls.

And Ish's eye make up makes me miss Adam eye make up... He looks very nice & friendly and Adam looks so pale and too thin... please don't jump on me, not criticizing or being rude, just think he looked healthier and happier before. Can't even see his freckles anymore...

I'm a little uncomfortable stating what TV programs I watch-or don't watch, either on this site or in person with folks I know. Brings me back to my days in Brooklyn when, after a very trying day of teaching 2nd graders in a very impoverished area of the city---and a 2 hour bus/train commute each way to get there,---I would throw myself on my couch and watch reruns of I Love Lucy to help me forget about the sadnesses and challenges of the classroom. She made me laugh like no other. When my boyfriend, {current husband of 40+ years] saw what I was watching one evening, he expressed dismay that I would watch a program so trite. I remember feeling a little awkward but continued to watch it, just because I liked it. Imagine my chuckles when I eventually discovered that his "go to" entertainment was Gomer Pyle!!! He's never thrown any such comments my way again!! I say, "To each his/her own!"

Anonymous said...

I agree Adam looks like a toothpick. He's still got a warped body image. Probably always will.
Oh and ps...jump all you want. Just don't hurt yourselves since you can't see past the love light:D

Anonymous said...

@ BA....3:08.....oh yes, I see - s in wrong place! I probably would have caught it on Dell-a, her print is larger......but I was typing lying down...on my itty bitty iPad. I call her Little Applette. She's my new best friend. My grandson gave her to me for Christmas so we could chat and send photos to each other. I walk around with her attached to my hand like a teenager with their phone.

I've been lucky, she doesn't have near as many hissy-fits as Dell-a did. My support team appreciates that!

@ BA.....'gobsmacked' is one of my favorite words...along with flabbergasted and flummoxed.

I am an unrepentant verbivore!!!........JAK :-)

@11:53 AM
It's taped about a year ago. According to the Tweet of Ish. He posted a photo of him and Adam and said it is about a year old and he is happy to share it now. There is another thread about the photo. Adam has the same clothes in that photo that he had at the show, so it must be the time of taping. A year ago Adam started to change his style to more mainstream (facial hair all the time, no more make up, nailpolish etc.).

Anonymous said...

7:54 PM cont.
And now all the pretty boys are so excited how good Adam and his moustache look. ;) There are lots of Tweets where guys say they want to marry him, touch him, want him to kiss them all around etc.

Very good PR. His own people have finally found him. (Because of the change in looks?). I hope they like his music too!

Anonymous said...

5:09, you have problems you should talk to a professional about if 40 years later you are still "uncomfortable" about somebody being dismayed by what you watched on TV not to mention you married somebody who affected you so profoundly negatively. I hope you will get some help.
