Don't really care for Justin's falsetto.

As I said already this MV is parody on Freddie Mercury outfits, voice, and "This thing called love" MV. They mentioned it on youtube comments many times. I found it pathetic and cruel. But this song is good. Wish I never watched this video:(

Adam Chris's version WAAAAY better than the original. Adam can crank ANYTHING and make it sound awesome.

Keep Rockin' Adam

Adam rules!......nancdruuu2

Why is a versus situation being set up?

Why can't they each be good in their own ways? Plenty of people love Madness' song and video. This just feeds the hate for other performers that already exists on this site.

Adam always complements others, never puts them down. Too bad his fans can't emulate some of that behavior.

@7:55 PM My thinking matches yours. I can't add to it.

JAK here.....Shamefully, I am very jealous of you guys with 2 good ears to enjoy the song. As a kid I got whacked by a line drive playing baseball and it damaged my right ear. So all the good stuff is handled by the 'lefty'.
The background instrumentation on this song is a loud droning buzz to me and except in spots, covers up the vocals. Poor me. : -(

But I can't wait to see it performed tomorrow night!
My vision is excellent!

I'm in with 7:55 and 7:59. There is enough hate and division here already.

I can't get enough of listening to this track. Adam's voice is unbelievable and he gives Born To Be Wild ending effect to this song. Hope Adam gets to work with Hawkins again. Love Music Again.

@JAK Sorry to hear you can't hear, dear! I'm so excited for this Glee episode.

Adam does a great job performing songs on Glee from Gaga and now this new one by the Darkness with Chris Colfer. We all rave about the performances. Why can't he find/record this kind of rock number for his third album? He usually is better than the originals with the covers that he does because we know he can sing better than most in the music business right now. I think we all are waiting for that one song that is going to make us jump up and say: That's it, that's the one...that's going to be a hit for Adam. I hope we get to hear it this year. Rock on Adam.

Glee poem

Elliot and Kurt on high alert
Spewing forth their sexiness
In their field of drama, they're experts
Be mindful, you don't slip on their glittery outburst
Seizing a big portion of the Glee pie
Those two really seep into our hearts and minds
To be or not to be...Ryan Murphy
Isn't divulging any mercy lol!
Both are sensual dancers even on the pole
Their harmonies transcending in an ethereal flow
Now, I'm going to ask crystalball for help
Say crystalball...indicate with a jerk or yelp...
Are they going to fall head-over-heels in love
Oooh-la-la, that's way more than enough lol!
Spiced up with tension, tease, heartbreak and rebuff
'I Believe In A Thing Called Love'...
Elliot delivers his ultra leggiero like a soaring dove
Adam's phrasing and tongue-twisting of the lyric
Was emphatically dramatic, gave me quite a kick
No wonder, someone once remarked
Adam's tongue is talented and quick
Now you know why Glamberts of the world all want it lol!
Hey Elliot and Kurt, you better cook up something to hyperventilate us
Make it chic, funny, romantic with a bull's-eye thrust
That'll send tongues a-wagging
All day and night into the wee hours...to love and lust, we must lol!

I love Adam & Chris singing this I just wish the music was a little lower so you could hear thier voices better.

*hear ..sorry

Whoa, 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love' is so energised with the combined force of Chris' and Adam's high notes; palpable fierce synergy. Like the Glee director pointed out, they ride on each other's strengths...great match!

Lam-my, your Glee poem is just too darn cute!!!! On another note, The Darkness did a great job with this song and I have really enjoyed it for a few years, plus the music video. But, WOW, I really love the version that Adam and Chris sing. OMG, the notes that Adam belts with that incredible voice of his! It will really be interesting to see how many hits on youtube that they will get with this song. Cannot wait to watch Glee tomorrow night-people will go nuts for Adam. Margarita Lady

Hi there Margarita Lady!
Yea will always remember you as my fire-fighter. lol! I notice when Adam gets inspired, in this case, singing with Chris, his voice hits the roof; like when he sang Who Wants To Live Forever, inspired by Dr Brian. And I can feel this extra surge of energy. Thank you always!

Just an observation about the song with Adam and Chris:

I was listening to it in my car today, direct from my iPod, through the car's speaker system (a pretty good one..) and it was very very clear as to who was singing what.. Much better sound with with song directly downloaded from iTunes and listened to on a good sound system... And turned UP UP UP...

Truly LOVE it! I have no complaints .. So excited to see the response worldwide when Glee airs both here in the US and in other countries.. Should get some rave reviews.. And I'm REALLY anxious to SEE them too :))))))

I replayed this song in my car for tons of times too. Adam's voice is just out of this world.

Love your poem Lam-my!

Thank you so much! Yea Adam's voice hit the ceiling in this rock song. Chris too was excellent. Adam, superb as the lead.

@7:55
Agree with your post, you're so right. "Adam always compiments others, never puts them down" - and if you don't like something, state it in a way that leaves room for civil change of opinions.

PS. Wondering why you call Darkness as Madness? Is it their nickname? Isn't Madness a famous UK ska band?

Love your poem, Lam-my! Once again, you nailed it. I'm loving the duet and can't wait to see it tonight. So glad there is a lot of positive feedback already. The Gleeks and Glamberts will keep us busy tomorrow with all the flailing!

Adam's version is a very nice pop interpretation of the song but it lacks the Darkness energy that sends shivers down your spine while listening to it. The Hawkins falsetto is like no other and that's why I prefer the original song.

Anonymous said...

I don't like Music Again, that is also a song by Darkness. Trespassing is a better album than Fye, imo. :)

To the Lamster @10:53 PM, I will always be your fire-fighter! You are such a wonderfully interesting Glambert.....Now, @7:09AM, I agree with you that The Darkness' original version of the song is the best, but somehow Adam and Chris have again brought it to life with a new twist. Sometimes, I feel it is a shame that we have to juxtapose the original song against a cover, but, it is a wonderful thing to hear Adam breathe new life into so many of the oldies but goodies. When it comes to "Marry The Night", I truly love Adam's version the best, but GaGa doesn't have to worry. Margarita Lady

What a petty thread topic, TBH.

Ignore galore re above

and what I really wanted to say was Adam's vocals on this track are very, well, Adam!!... and I think that is really exciting, as this is A GLEE produced song, interpreted for the story and plot and feeling of the show this season, as all Glee songs are ... so for Adam to get his stamp on the song so powerfully is a total win/win for me.

btw, agree with Glitzy, the song off my ipod in the car... so easy to enjoy Adam's vocals

Both are good in their own unique individual way. I like both, however, Adam did hit it out the ballpark.

Happy Days!

Touching yoooooouoooo. Lol. That f uped Adam's perfect beginning. It's so funny how none of you detect how out of tune Chris is. Hubby and I both cringed when we heard it. I suppose it's because we aren't in that bubble where everything Adam and Adam related is perfect. Ah well...carry on. I have reality to deal with. Cheerio.

I like this song, Adam sings this so well, along with Chris. I will be watching Glee tonight.

I'm counting the hours to get my "eye and ear candy" fix tonight!!! I will stay away from comparing the original from the Glee version as arts are very subjective. I sure do appreciate and enjoy both versions.

My thoughts at this point: Adam has everything it takes to get to the next level of stardom, plus I am sensing that the way he's perceived and acknowledged by the public as well as insiders is definitely in his favor right now. All it takes is the right song for #era3, smart decision making, and a bit of luck!

Never heard this song before on radio or anywhere else. Love Adam's interpretation of this song a lot. His voice is out of this world.

Anonymous said...

Any time I can hear Adam sing whether alone or with someone else, I will take it. Can't wait to watch tonight's episode of Glee for the entire storyline. Glad to read all the positive comments from the cast members on Glee to others in the entertainment world about Adam. Those of us who have been fans for the last five years have been saying what a special talent and person he is. I hope that his role on Glee presents other projects and opportunities for him on tv or in movies. But most of all I am waiting for new music from Adam where he just brings it all to the third album and an amazing first single from it.

I have had the Darkness' version on my iPod for awhile. I like it, but it is dated. I think Chris and Adam's version is more current. Rock\pop combo without the falsetto. It could play on the radio today.

Hey DRG
Thank you! for the umpteenth time. If I picture all of us on Adam's train rolling into the Glambert station, I would picture you as the train driver, stoic, cheery and then sounding the horn, toot-toot...and announcing loudly: Glambert station! lol!

Margarita Lady
I kind of like "the Lamster", rather refreshing; and thanks for being my fire-fighter! You sure got a powerful CO2 extinguisher. lwl!

This is funny! If i say i prefer the original version, definitely going to be labelled 'troll', so to be on the safe side, lets go with ' I love GLEE version better!'
personally, i love the two versions, the Original cause it is a great song, Adam's version for its the fresh take on it!
Love to see, some one cover adam's song, one day.

Looks like Adam is on Glee for the long haul. I saw a snippet of Rachael standing at the doorstep of Elliot's apartment; looking sad and says she has been thrown out by the band. Elliot looks perturbed when he sees the distraught Rachael. Mmm more ammunition for soap. So Elliot becomes Rachael's confidante and then, firecrackers spew from Elliot's apartment balcony. lol! Rachael develops a serious crush on Elliot; now let's see...Elliot may or may not reveal. Here is the pivotal moment for the Elliot character. He either rejects Rachael or accepts her, depending on whether Elliot is gay or straight. Okay that's only what my crystalball says at this point. If Elliot plays a straight guy, whoa Adam will showcase a challenging angle of acting. If he plays a gay character, something may develop between him and Kurt; because I read...Kurt says casually, he may have a second love interest on Glee. Oooh...The plot can get quite convoluted...a love triangle. lwl!
I will only get Frenemies next Tuesday (one week behind). But we get 2 episodes back to back every week; which means Frenemies (repeat) + Trio, the following week. Adam looks really at home on tv like he's been doing that for ages. His face is very congenial for tv.
