Queen + Adam Lambert: This teaming is such a given, it’s a wonder a tour took so long to materialize. After all, Lambert first worked with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, the remaining active members of Queen, when he was becoming a sensation on “American Idol” back in 2009.
That, coincidentally, was just about the same time that May and Taylor were parting ways with former Free and Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers, whose time with the group yielded lots of memorably nostalgic arena dates but also a forgettable studio album (The Cosmos Rocks) that ultimately underscored just how incompatible such ingrained classic-rock figures were.
Lambert, on the other hand, is perhaps the closest living embodiment of the flamboyance and vocal range of Freddie Mercury. He’s a natural fit for Queen and has already earned raves in the role, both for his epic performance with the group at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards and a heralded run across the continent and the U.K. the next year, culminating in three sold-out nights at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
Finally, the pairing is coming to the States and making a lone Southern California stop on July 3 at the site of many a memorable Queen show in the past, the Forum, $39.50-$149.50, on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. Also on sale at that time are tickets for two smaller shows in Las Vegas at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, July 5-6, $49.50.

I just heard Adam's name mentioned on the talk. The topic was about Neil Patrick Harris: Julie said,
"that even though he is gay in 2006

As many times as I've viewed the iHeart concert youtube, and i was there in person, I still get goosebumps hearing Adam sing his heart out. Brian and Roger aren't bad either LOL!!!!!

I'm hoping that as the tour draws nearer, Adam will get more visibility on TV, radio, etc. And I hope TV gives this tour some airtime for promo. Adam and Queen creating NEW music together would be a dream come true. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I heard the Queen/Adam Lambert concert promo on WMGK radio in Phila. today. They announced it about three times and mentioned Adam Lambert's name repeatedly!! I was so thrilled!

1:13 pm, giving hits to the Vevo of Lay Me Down shows interest in the song. I agree with 12:37 pm, we should be giving it hits! Maybe the interest will encourage them to release it as a single.

I also have saved this video on my computer and have watched it over and over. It's so interesting to read all the positive comments from so many about this Queenbert summer series and to see the promo videos now being shown on tv. And to think that I first saw Adam as did so many over 5 years ago on Idol and was mesmerized by him. I could not wait for each week to hear what he would sing, what he would wear and what the judges had to say about him. I saw Idol last night and was not really interested or enthusiastic about any of the contestants. As has been said by so many Adam fans, his performances just spoiled it for me and caring about any other contestants in the future. There is really no one who comes close to his vocal talent and his amazing stage presence. And I am tired of seeing so many closeups of JLO bouncing in her seat as each contestant performs. Where are the closeups of Keith and Harry? I am sure the shows with Queen and Adam will be incredible and something special in the history of rock concerts. It would be great to have a cd and a dvd of the music from the shows. I also hope that Adam appears on any of those talk shows( Ellen, The View, The Talk)just to give us a preview of what this concert series will entail. It certainly is turning out to be a great year for Adam Lambert with more to come.

Loved Adam's appearance with Queen in Vegas. When he performed WWTLF, he blew the roof off that stage. And then he turned, looked at the audience and walked away as if to say, I showed you, didn't I. And he certainly did. If this iheart radio concert and the shows they did in Europe are any indication of what to expect with this summer concert series, Queen and Adam Lambert will be incredible.

@2:14 pm- I also watched most of Idol last night, and I can't agree at all with Harry saying that this is the best group of contestants this show has ever had. Come on, Harry. Most of them lack any kind of stage presence, enthusiasm or connection to the song or the audience. Maybe it's because many of them are so young. I just think back to season 8 with Adam who brought something special to the show each week. We have seen him develop and grow into the incredible performer he is today and now the opportunity to do a special summer concert series with Queen. This is a very exciting time for Adam and I am so glad I was there to see him on that first day he auditioned for Idol. I have been a fan ever since.

Remind me which concert lambertlust is going to attend to so I didn't end up with him in the same place ,yikes

My husband surprised me with tickets to go see Adam Lambert with Queen on July 12, at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I am so excited! This is our wedding anniversary present. I was so surprised.; We have great seats too. I have been a devout Glambert since his audition for American Idol! This will be the second time I get to see him live. I am praying for an autograph, but I will be happy to hear him sing. I am SOOOO happy right now. I feel loved!

This was one of Adam's best performance. He also had the right look - great hair, great look, great style. It makes a difference. His voice, energy and moves made it a perfect show.

He looked the best I have ever seen him look @ IHeart. Well maybe the WHITE PANTS, but the black pants were amazing too!

There's a picture of Adam taken from the back,performing at the IHeart radio concert where he's wearing those skin tight black pants-I think you all know the one. Now I don't want the focus on Adam to be so objectified, but oh my goodness, as that new silly song on the radio says---I'm Only Human!!!!!
