To bad Kiss will get credit for every copy sold

I was thinking that too; but Rolling Stone Publishers know that is not true. I think that is why that have the article and pictures of Queen and Adam in the same issue regarding this Rock Band issue of concerts this summer.

I think they feel that Adam's fans are a sure thing if he is featured in any way; also they have Queen's fans; also Kiss fans. It may work for them. Just my opinion, I may be totally wrong; but this is what I think; that is business; all about the mighty dollar!

I know when Adam was on the Cover right after Idol; I even subscribed to the Magazine. No longer though. Kiss will probably think it is because of them.

Hopefully Queen and Adam will get a cover together later!

I can understand people coming from far away to attend these concerts....the chance to hear the Queen music live again and obviously these fans are familiar with Adam and know he will do the songs justice. They are mostly dramatic rock and who could possibly do a better job?

geez, Adam had to carry Kiss on Idol finale, now he has to carry them on RS mag.

Gosh, Adam is doing better than I thought, if he is carrying KISS. Cute comment. Adam's whole career might be on the success of this tour. If this is as successful as I think it will be, I don't think I will ever hear again, "Who is Adam Lambert? or " Oh I remember, he was that gay guy on American Idol?"
His album also might depend on the success of this tour. I am not able to go to any of the shows, but I know his whole heart and soul will go into every song he sings, on this tour. Hope he gets more publicity for his album, than he did for his last one, a LOT more.

Once again "Idol" is mentioned in connection to Adam Lambert. I'm hoping after this tour it will be "Queen's frontman." Sick of American Idol! Will that follow him thru his whole career?

10:01 it sounds allot better then "Openly Gay Singer Adam Lambert" at least they stopped calling him that. Personally I still like the idol connection, that's where we all fell in love with him in 2009.

Question, in your opinion fellow posters, Has Adam pulled off the biggest coup, than any other AI contestant? To front for Queen, is huge. I am not saying that others have not been successful in their own right.

Adam has said he will be forever grateful for the opportunity that Idol gave him.. And while we are all very familiar with Adam (to say the least!), not everyone else is.. Or they remember him from Idol. So for RS to associate Adam's name with Idol is sure okay with me.. As he becomes more well known, successful, especially considering his tour with Queen this year, he will have the title "Queen frontman" added to his various titles. It's descriptive, not derogatory or dismissive by any stretch. As an aside, I still have to explain sometimes, to someone I'm talking to, just exactly who he is.. ("You know, that super talented guy from Idol a few years ago..") Because there's always that confusion with Adam Levine... :) And certainly not everyone has followed Adam's career like we have!

AND, I firmly believe that Queen plus Adam Lambert will have their OWN Rolling Stone cover in the next few months.... No doubt in my mind.... This is just the beginning of the buzz for them this year!

Glitzylady I really hope your right! Queen + Adam Lambert on the cover of Rolling Stone would be so incredibly awesome! I just can't wait for the USA to finally get to see an entire 2 hour concert. Everybody ain't gonna know what hit them! And then after the tour his new single is released and blows up the charts! :)

I don't think that anyone is saying that Adam is carrying Kiss; but, I certainly don't believe that Kiss is carrying Queen and Adam either. I tuned in to Idol to see Adam at the Idol show; not to see Kiss. Adam and Queen are huge together!!

@JAK 9:16 AM-I would die if I would get to hear Queenbert sing, SAVE ME", live in the Las Vegas shows. That song, to me, is a masterpiece. I know it is sad, but sad things happen in our lives and relationships end. The lyrics of that particular song are REAL LIFE, the pain, the agony of a relationship that has to end! I just listened to another old Queen song this morning, also a complete masterpiece, "LOVE ME LIKE THERE'S NO TOMORROW". Should you not be familiar with it, please google this song! I agree with those who think there WILL be a Queen/Adam cover of Rolling Stone in the next few months. That will be Adam's SECOND RS cover, of course. Has an other Idol every been on the cover of RS? I don't think so. To have a solo cover and then a cover with QUEEN is just beyond belief. I hope it happens. Gotta go buy my copy of RS today. Good article. It's a keeper.

I'm 9:32 AM. I was just being silly. It's hard to pass an opportunity to jab at someone as famous as Kiss when Gene made it clear he was 'put out' by the enthusiasm of Adam's fans. It wouldn't have hurt him to say something nice about Adam since it was Adam's spotlight to be had. Just a little ribbing directed at Gene.

as far as i know Adam Lambert is the only contestant from American Idol ever to get the Rolling Stone cover. And he did that before his 1st album ever came out. To be on ther twice is almost unthinkable. But Adam Lambert so deserves this! And Queen does as well.

I think Gene Simmons is jealous of Adam's talent. As far as "Kiss carrying Queen"...that's just dumb. How many Kiss songs can all but die-hard fans sing all the words to? And how many Queen songs? No comparison, no matter what continent you are on. Remember that Simmons told Adam not to wear platforms, and later he said Adam didn't sing all that well. I'll bet Simmons wishes he had one tenth of Adam's talent (or looks for that matter) ;)

They were invited to sing with Adam on Idol because they were a "name" band, at that time Adam was a nobody with a great voice.

Kiss has a strong fan base as well. When Adam sang"Beth" at the Idol finale, it was so much better than Kiss' that it was embarrassing. Also Adam's cover of RS was their best seller of that year. He was also on the cover of EW while he was still on idol, also a first.

I remember gene Simmons saying that Adam should have shut up about his sexuality. Adam said some stuff about gene as well, that weren't very nice. He said all Gene talked about was his sex life. I do think gene is a little jealous of Adam's talent and looks.

@ Margarita Lady.....JAK here.........I didn't remember that song, but when I checked it out I realized why. It's from an album Freddie did without Queen, his solo album ..... I hadn't thought about that music in years...I refreshed my memory. I've been wallowing in nostalgia ever since this new tour was announced. I remembered how much my mother liked Queen.....she was crazy about Freddie or as she called him "that bad boy."

Adam has a lot of lyrics to learn for that full concert! I'm glad you will be there cheering him on with the other lucky Glamberts.
