Hey @adamlambert fans! I have it on good authority that 'Lay Me Down' is the next Avicii single; will be released to Oz radio next week. \o/

Anonymous said...

Pretty sure that it will be. It's now on playlist's within Oz! We're all waiting!!!!!!....Plus expecting to see Adam before too long.

Anonymous said...

Woooooo hooooooo in the Land of Oz. Be prepared Aussie Glamberts

Anonymous said...

If this happen in Oz; does this mean it will be a single worldwide? Thanks, I don't know anything about the music business.

Anonymous said...

Hello World!
Let's follow the Oz example, get LMD & Adam on the playlists!!!

Anonymous said...

LMD Squeeee!!!
#ADAM LAMBERT #TRUE #Avicii

Anonymous said...

Good question at 1:34 AM, I would like to know that too. Anyone?

Anonymous said...

No it doesn't mean it will be released anywhere else necessarily. The second avicii single was not released in the us after it didnt do that well in Europe. They went right to the third single hey brother. Also timing is important because hey brother is still top 20 they wouldn't release another avicii single in the us until its finished.

Anonymous said...

Thanks at 2:17am.

Anonymous said...

I agree with 2:17 am....that until Hey Brother has its run, so to speak, they won't introduce another single. I just started hearing Hey Brother on our local hit radio station a week or two ago. But hopeful to eventually hear Lay Me Down!!!!

I remember that with Adam's two albums the singles released in certain countries weren't necessarily the same...

Anonymous said...

FANTASTIC that maybe Lay Me Down will be released in Oz!!! But that doesn't necessarily we Aussies will be seeing Adam any time soon as a result of it. Maybe he'll need to be promoting his own music before he makes his next trek Down Under.

D'ya reckon. Hope your keeping your fingers crossed.

Anonymous said...

I'm praying with all my heart that LMD does become a single in the U.S. I know the timing has to be right with the previous single, etc. But LMD is so great and if it does well in OZ and elsewhere, there's a good chance it will make it here. PLEASE!

Convo on twitter just now between Aussie DJ Katie Purvis and others: Sounds like a done deal for Australian release of LMD... Worldwide release to follow???? Hoping so!!!!

Gelly ‏@14gelly 19m
"@katiemelb: @14gelly @devenlane Heard it directly from Avicii's Aussie record label." OMG OMG !!

Katie Purvis ‏@katiemelb 17m
@14gelly @devenlane I hope it's worldwide and not just Australia. But if it's going to be released here, surely the rest of the world too?

Gelly ‏@14gelly
@katiemelb @devenlane Fingers crossed omg thank you for the info!

Thanks glitzy

Off to work I go, with a smile on my face.
(I'm not fretting about Worldwide or even USA to be honest... would be excellent just for LMD to do well in Oz, yay).

Anonymous said...

Surely the time is right for Lay Me Down to be released as a single in Oz. Avicii's album has done extremely well here and Adam is loved big time so .... BRING. IT.ON!!! And the rest of the world awaits it too!!! :D

Anonymous said...

I like dance, trance, edm, but I really don't like Avicii at all. I only tolerate him because he worked with Nile and Adam.

Anonymous said...

Sorry, LMD wont do well at the chart! It is way below Adam and Nile's standard! #my opinion

Anonymous said...

@6:29 Dance charts are separate. I think in Europe most of the 18-30 like dance music that is called emd nowadays. I like it too and I'm 50, but I just don't like Avicii. Disco never died in Europe like it did in the US because of conservative pressure.

Anonymous said...

*emd, not very familiar with that term yet..

Anonymous said...

*edm (lol)

Anonymous said...

You may not like Avicii and you're entitled to your opinion but he has done brilliantly the world over.

Anonymous said...

Different courses for different horses.

Anonymous said...

A lot of young ones love Avicii's music.

Anonymous said...

@April 14 6:29 AM

So glad you added #myopinion,
because of course there is no evidence at this time supporting your first claim, and there may never be any evidence available to support your second, other than Adam and Nile coming out themselves and saying something to that effect specifically.

Anonymous said...

Also, if LMD did well on Dance charts only, that would still be a total win/win! #myopinion;)

Anonymous said...

I think because of conservative pressure Avicii added the banjos in his music, so that he got more popularity in the US. That's ass kissing. Disco would turn in it's grave. I do like LMD though because it has the original disco sound. Thanks Nile.

JAK here....Aussies...I salute you. Not only do I admire your beautiful scenic wonders but also your people for their pioneer spirit, athletic ability, great beauty and wit, but also for the good taste you exhibit in appreciating our Adam.

I might add I have a tiny crush...in a grandmotherly 'come over for Sunday Dinner dear'.....way...on Bryon Cooke!
His puckish sense of humor charms me....

Anonymous said...

It's going to finally hit home to you that's its not Adams single when there is a music video and adam is not in it

Anonymous said...

@7:45 Yes, no way he's going to give recognition to Adam. That's not how he rolls.

Anonymous said...

But at least Adam's voice would be heard and we could announce the heck out of it. That's how fans spread the word. Why not look on the positive side and hope that the song gets to be a single in the U.S. Or anywhere for that matter. Some fans are apparently very hard to please.

It would be great if LMD was released as single. I just kind of explained why I don't like the previous single releases..

Anonymous said...

@7:39AM....JAK here....my guess is, since Avicii is European, he included the banjos because they are used in current folk-punk and indie-rock in the British Isles and Europe....as well as the US. Mumford and Sons, Jack White, Taylor Swift and Jason Mraz in his last album.
He added that into his EDM along with a dash of disco!

Since Avicii is Swedish I assume he's serving the world a musical smorgasbord !

Anonymous said...

@9:10 JAK, I prefer the other Swedish dj, Eric Prydz. I'm sometimes behind the current music trends, or simply just avoiding it ;). I will certainly buy LMD if it's a single. IF, because priorities.. :)

Anonymous said...

I heard "Hey Brother" on the radio the other day and really liked it. Definitely a smart single especially for the US market. The folksy country vibe mixed with cool EDM beats creates a very refreshing and relaxed track. Love it. LMD is different and I am not sure how well it would be received in the US. I don't doubt though that it will hit hard in many other countries around the world. I'm sure the Aussies are going to love the song!!! It's pretty evident already.

Anonymous said...

I doubt legend multi Grammys winner Nile Rodgers will let Avicii go make a video without any name recognition. Adam's and Nile's names are on all of OZ's radio playlists.

Anonymous said...

Lol the singer of hey brother has won 14 Grammys and you don't see his name or face anywhere on the video or us playlists. Only avicii

Woots bring it on we will find out how it goes down as it goes down.

Anonymous said...

Avicii is only 23 years old and earned 20 million last year. He has an amazing house in hollywood hills. He is really a star

Anonymous said...

I'm patiently waiting for new music from Adam and Adam alone. Need to hear his pure voice with all it's emotion.

Anonymous said...

Some countries are already getting a taste of LMD from the Lipton Ice Tea commercial. Hope they are liking it. I sure do and I have had it since the True album first came out.

Anonymous said...

@9:29 am.....JAK here.....I am not a fan of EDM usually.
Some of course I like, but at present it's just kind of too noisy for me.....however 50 years ago I'm sure I would have loved to dance to it. The louder the better!

I met Avicii sometime back, he was staying at the Waldorf in Orlando and appearing at the Hard Rock. I was staying there visiting my g'son at the time....he was chief concierge and slightly chummy with Tim.

He seemed to be a nice young man, lovely manners and somehow familiar to me. He's fair and has very intense eyes.....I realized he reminded me of a teen idol in the mid 1950s....Tab Hunter, a so-so actor and less than so-so singer. Same fairness and fierce eyes.

I bought LMD to hear Adam, but didn't buy the album!
I wish him well, he's off to a bombastic start!

Anonymous said...

If LMD is released in the US AI hope they only use Avicii name, it will get airplay then. Word will get out it is Adam and Nile and Avicii.

Anonymous said...

I don't think most fans mean to call LMD Adam's single, or use words and/or phrases that suggest such, I'd venture to guess that we just, well, sort of slip when we address the LMD song. Adam's fans strike me as a smart lot generally speaking, and I believe a good bunch of them (us) understand how Avicii rolls and how it works with his singles and their accompanying videos etc. I'd bet that most of us are comfortable with any exposure, big or small, Adam gets through LMD on Tim's & his teams' terms.

Anonymous said...

Great that it is likely being released in Australia. Hope the world is to follow and it is hitting in the US this summer while Adam is touring with Queen.

My 2 and a half cents worth: I have #TRUE, the entire Avicii album and I really like it.. It has a variety of music and singing styles on it and it's upbeat and fun.. If any of you haven't actually had the opportunity to listen to at least snippets of the songs from the album, perhaps do so.. It's not all hard-driving beats/EDM. One of my favorite albums from the past year..

glitzylady said...

By the way, from what I've seen from people who live in Australia and are hearing Lay MeDown played on the radio, it's being intro'd as @Avicii featuring Adam Lambert" and Adam and Nile are listed along with Avicii on the playlists and request forms. I LOVE that!!!

Anonymous said...

Thx glitzy & @April 14 at 10:15AM, I too noticed Adam's name in print, in terms of the OZ playlists; I was actually kind of taken aback by that, in the happiest of ways.

Anonymous said...

So nice to know that Adam's name is being mentioned on the OZ playlist, and that listeners will be associating him with the song along with Avicii. Adam has lots of great fans in Australia who must be just as eager for Adam's own new music as we are.

Could you for once be a little less obnoxiously know it all in your posts, e.g. start your posts with something else than negative words & expressions! If you truly knew something, you would be more graceful and kind when sharing your 'inside info'... lol,

Anonymous said...

that's a very juvenile description of a star, lol

Anonymous said...

Hey Brother is mostly Bluegrass than anything else; Avicii knows how to make money in US!

Anonymous said...

Then he should be making lots of money in Ireland too. That's where bluegrass style music came from. You can hear it in pubs across the country.

Anonymous said...

@JAK .... love all your comments here. :-)

Something tells me you're also sweet on one Darren Hayes .... his music, that is. :-)

Anonymous said...

@3:12 AM.....you are absolutely correct, Darren's ballads are on my list of favorites. At my present stage of life I have a long list of 'sweeties' that entertain me in a grandmotherly way....

Now Gerard Butler is in a different category!....Hubba Hubba!......JAK

Anonymous said...

@JAK you never fail to cheer me up with your comments. Gerard Butler is definitely a hottie.

Is Darren Hayes the singer from Savage Garden?

Anonymous said...

Yes.....he's the one. Sweet voice.

Gerard is my replacement for my former Scot....Sean Connery. I could never feel quite the same about him after he made his statement about it being okay to slap a woman! A little too Bond-ish for me!.....JAK
