Freddie died 23 years ago and Adam in fact IS his successor (at least as of now), so I see the crown as perfectly appropriate. I think Brian and Roger wanted to make it clear to everybody that Adam is part of rock royalty now. They have his back which shows in Adam's confidence when he performs their legendary songs in the arenas!
Love it! It was so cool when he spontaneously struck that pose. So ADAM!

My guess is Brian & Roger have said to Adam that you've got it all, just sing your heart out, be bold, outrageous and OTT, as campy and theatrical as you want (Killer Queen), there's no one like you - and let's have fun!

They should auction off the Killer Queen couch for charity after the tour. I bet there'd be lots of takers. This fan art pic captures the essence of how Adam looked at that moment. So playful and sexy. If you prefer his actual face, there's always the photo. I love that, too!
