Obviously in reaction to recent critiques of the tour. Kindergarten is back in session. Way to Adam!

I've only read good reviews. Don't mind missing the negative ones.

there is an overly negative review from LA Time that many blog sites are now reposting. I won't post the link here because i don't want to give them hits. But this post from Adam is obviously in reaction to that.

Adam is a performer. He can do camp and rock. I'm not even going to read the article. Who cares, love Adam.

The L.A. Times guy has to be deaf and blind cuz I was there and it was unbelievable and the crowd went crazy,
I've never heard Adam sing better, what this guy missed, it's not about multimedia fanfare, it's about the music, Adam, Brian and a Roger were amazing.

Love 'Camp' and glitter! Time of education obviously!

The LA Times review isn't that bad. Lots of compliments for Adam.

Seems like if a reviewer doesn't claim Adam is better than Freddie that the review is labeled bad. So ridiculous.

Adam's post is obviously in response to some of the tweets he has been getting, not the LA Times review.

The LA times review is very negative, with a few backhanded compliments thrown in there.....but apparently the LA times hardly ever gives positive reviews.
It was clear from the way it was written that this guy had preconceived ideas about not liking it, and not liking Adam before the show. He obviously doesn't believe Queen should still be touring.
But when you compare it to the mainly glowing reviews from other papers, it makes him look a bit silly.

Anything short of a glowing review saying Adam is better than Freddie gets trashed by glamberts. That's not very realistic. Everybody has different tastes. I don't expect everybody to love Adam as much as I do.

As one of the previous commenters pointed out the LA Times rarely gives glowing reviews to anything so I'd take it with a grain of salt. Nearly all of the reviews of the tour so far have been fantastic. Queenbert rocks.

There is an ocean of positive reviews for this tour so far. The negatives are few and far between. I read the LA Times review. That guy went in with his mind already made up, so I give it little credence. The audience LOVED that show. Adam was superb and so were the rest of them. This tour has gotten incredible accolades from almost everyone. I say, move on and let's look forward to the Vegas shows!

I doubt anyone would go see a 68 year old bald FM with only shorts on stage. Queen fans should be thrilled that a very young handsome with an impeccable voice bringing their songs alive to the masses. Let the passed FM RIP.

I got to the LA Times review of QueenBert...you see the writer got us to read his piece, simply by being different, in this case negative. Frankly, I like negative reports but this one on QueenBert gives me the impression it's quite forced, a stronger word...pseudo. If it's genuinely bad, I need more convincing substantiation.
From his review: "The group’s rendition of its signature hit, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” said it all: There was Lambert, belting out the introductory portion of the complicated song, doing the job he’d apparently been hired to do. Then the stage went dark and once again our eyes were directed toward the screen, where Mercury took over for the operatic section -- a humiliating demotion for the younger man attempting to honor his idol’s legacy." ~ LA Times.
This paragraph alone tells me this LA Times writer is not even aware of the rationale behind letting Freddie sing the operatic, significant portion of Bohemian Rhapsody. And quickly surmises, Adam being humiliated. Oooh-la-la! such a narrow view, no wonder he needs the attention by going negative.
Okay, the reason why Freddie took over the most significant and a large part of Bohemian Rhapsody is to my mind, out of reverence for Freddie; Bohemian Rhapsody being perhaps Freddie's most outstanding Queen composition / rendition; and Adam, Brian and Roger wanted that retained intact as his legacy and nothing changed. Also, Freddie's voice sounded powerful and that's what Freddie fans would love to hear. Adam saluted Freddie on screen at the end of the song...his deep reverence to Freddie, his masterpiece and his genius.
That LA Times review to me is rather misleading, slipshod. As I said I'm open to negative opinions but he needs to be a lot more convincing; seems a little lacking in research.

You know what was the best review for me last night at LA Forum? It was to see a family of five (mother, father, and three girls) to have a great time right in front of our row. They were singing all the songs and the girls were waving every time Adam lead the crowd to wave. The girls were pointing at Adam and flailing. Parents were taking pictures and videos. And you know what this wasn't the only scene. People at the arena had a great time. At the parking lot a group of young men were over joy seeing Brian and Roger. They said man those two still have the greatness in them and Adam Lambert did a fantastic job. It pains me to read such a false report of a fantastic concert.

12:49, it's not a false report, it's one person's opinion. Take that family of 5 you are adoring to a Kanye concert and I bet they wouldn't give it a good review. Not everybody likes the same thing.

Does it really matter what the LA Times review had to say about Adam in the overall scheme of things? Venues are sold out or close to it, the crowds are unbelievably enthusiastic and loving the show, and Adam is gaining new fans at each show. Adam is performing some of the most iconic songs in rock history with the original members of Queen who seem to be rejuvenated with Adam on that stage. AS has been said hundreds of times, Adam is not replacing Freddie. Why don't certain people understand that? Personally, I was not really into the music of Queen back in their time on stage with Freddie, but after hearing Adam sing their classic anthems that we have heard for years, I am a convert and bought two of their greatest hits cds which I play in the car. Maybe we will get a cd/dvd of this Queenbert concert which I will gladly buy and listen to just as often or even more. Congrats to Adam for being an amazing vocal talent and for his mesmerizing stage presence. Rock on!

I believe Adam's post has more to do with those tweets and comments from those "pearlclutchin" fans who can't or could not deal with Adam's interpretation and campy performance of Killer Queen... the ones saying it cheapens the show or something equally stupid... These same fan comments or audience reactions are the reason Adam did the "this is not me" banter...
