Amanda Lepore is a transgender/transexual female-identifying woman. She was born male but always felt that she was female, according to her biographies. She had surgery and hormone treatments at age 19 and made the transition from male to female.. We had this discussion on an earlier thread here today.. with another picture of Adam with Ms. Lepore. She is quite famous... She is also a friend of Adam's...

So what? There are transsexual people who look fine, like the woman on OITNB. Amanda lepore went thru a zillion plastic surgeries to turn herself into a freak. Her role model is the cartoon character Jessica rabbit. She is screwed up big time to do that to her body.

Thank you glitzy, for explaining a little bit about Amanda Lepore. Odd that now this is her living. What a huge commitment to make at the tender age of 19. Her life now, looking like that cannot be an easy one. I hope she is happy , although in my opinion, she went a trifle overboard. Adam has so many friends that are different from the norm.

I read one of the reviews, who said something that had not caught on to before he said it, that the crown that Adam wears in the tour, is actually a female crown, Mercury wore a mans crown.
I did think the crown was quite beautiful, but it didn't occur to me that it is for a queen, not a king. Wonder if that was intentional on Adams part, just trying not to copy Freddie, but to have a different looking crown.
Of course being gay, might be why he chose it, on purpose for that reason. He might not know the difference between a kings crown and a queens crown, I just thought it looked great, without realizing it was meant for a female to wear.

3:09, She has proclaimed herself as stripper as her role/occupation in her profile. She also does other things to make a living as well, and has strip shows frequently as a part of her repertoire. This is what she has identified herself to be. Not me. No attempt to be rude here, just passing on fact.

Her body is not expensive because of the sex change she had at 19' but because of the endless plastic surgery she has had for the following 30 years. She looked fine as a woman when She was young. Turning herself into a freak is not about being a woman.

Hi 3:09, Amanda is well-known as a stripper, and has made a lot of money doing it. He/She became famous because of the sex reassignment surgeries,and how far he went to fulfill that into a more fully she.

In all honesty a person who does that to her body hasn't got her head screwed on the right way. Still fine by me, I don't mind. If you are not a born talent, you may have to find other ways to get to the limelight or the gossip sites, like letting doctors mutilate your body :(

How about we focus on better and more important things here ... like Adam Lambert? :)

@3:10 PM That's interesting. It's a subtle way Adam may be sending a message that he is deferring to Freddie, not imitating him. Adam does not mind being called a queen. Freddie was slow to acknowledge his sexuality and might have picked a king crown for that reason.

Seems to me if Ms. Lepore is happy, that's all that really what is important here.. I would suspect that is the case..

The true homophobia of some of Adam's fans is showing. Adam fits in their acceptably gay box, Amanda does not.

Freddie didn't actually hide the fact that he was gay. Adam is not very well versed in what British royalty wears. To him a crown is a crown, and it looked pretty, and rather rich looking. He would know the difference between a tiara, and a crown, but not maybe about regular crowns. Anyway I love the crown on him, and probably only Brits know the difference. Not really important, it was just the fact, that I had overlooked the difference in crowns.

Maybe we should skip the speculation on the meaning of the crown and just ask Adam.

It has nothing to do with homophobia or her sexuality. . She is just like the lady who did plastic surgery to look like a cat, or the one who looks like Barbie. It has to do with mutilating your body to look like a freak. It's not about wanting to be a woman.

Freddie wore a crown Adam is wearing a coronet and I am sure Adam and the band know the difference.

Apparently by here is no specific king's crown or queen's crown per this.

It has nothing to do with homophobia, or the type of gay etc....it has to do with the fact that someone has gone way too far with the plastic surgery. She's not the only celebrity to have done it, and if it was someone more famous who's picture was on here, I would feel the same.

Since the 1991 death of Queen front-man Freddie Mercury, and the retirement of bassist John Deacon, the remaining members (Brian May and Roger Taylor) of Queen have always pondered at the thought of whether or not to continue as a band. In 2005, they first attempted to create something new and magical with the music of Queen with Paul Rodgers (Free, Bad Company) filling in the lead vocalist roll. After a tour and an album, the band parted ways with Rodgers in 2009. Still on the search, Brian May and Roger Taylor may have found the right fit for the band with former American Idol contestant Adam Lambert as the two joined forces Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun arena.

Looks like Adams crown is just one that was made for him to wear in the tour. No connection to anything to do with royalty. Just some ones idea of a crown or coronet for display for the concert. Not an authentic style worn by royalty.
