"Photos: 60 Classic Rockers Still (Unbelievably) On Tour"

"Here is every classic rock act still on tour right this very minute"

Queen

"Median Age: 66 (not including current vocalist Adam Lambert—yes, that Adam Lambert) Since Freddie Mercury's 1991 death, Roger Taylor and Brian May have tried many creative tactics to keep the band going while paying homage to Mercury. Their just-wrapped summer tour was among their most inspired ideas: get Adam Lambert, pop's most flamboyant male star, to front Queen, recalling one-off award show performances together in recent years."

I'm actually starting to get bored with all of this Queen stuff. I really dont even care much for their music. Although Adam sings anything phenomenally. But while doing these gigs-which by the way got virtually no major news coverage - Just local news articles that all sounded the exact same - other new artists are building momentum & getting attention. I want NEW music from Adam that is unique, fresh & places him at the top of the music world like he deserves. Im truly concerned this is not going to happen now.

Adam will be fine and will still be performing when all these so called new talents will be has beens!! My predictions are Adam will be on Broadway more TV and maybe a movie "Jesus Christ Super Star" playing Judas which he said he would love to play. You don't think he hasn't caught the eye of many producers and directors since Glee. That show gave him huge exposure as is the tour which by the way will go to Europe and probably finish in England which it should. No to the doubters. Adam will never be just a flash in the pan pop star he is steadily gaining huge exposure to other fan basis and in my estimation will be around for us for many years.

The Queen tour is exposing Adam to many new music-buying fans of all ages. Expanding his fanbase is a good thing. Yes, we all want new music from him, but when it does come, sales should be better than if he didn't do the Queen tour at all. He may get better radio play due to the tour exposure. And I agree with Jackie43. Adam isn't a flash in the pan. If he can diversity into other types of media, he'll be around for the long haul. I'd rather have a long, gradual success than a short-lived spike that doesn't last. People know who he is and most respect his talents immensely. I wouldn't worry about the Queen tour being a hindrance to his career. Quite the opposite. New talents pop up everyday, and yes, some of them skyrocket right to the top. It's just the way the music business works, and Adam knows it better than any of us. Hope his management works hard for him.

What "new" artists get "major" news coverage and attention for their music/gigs? I try and keep up. I don't believe music artist are topics of major news coverage unless, of course, you change your hair color or get into a fight. Adam will be fine. Nothing about Adam is boring.

BetsyWas, I totally agree. Unless you actually follow someone, you don't really know what they're doing. When Gaga did a concert in Chicago (my area), I said, "Oh! Really? Cool!" But of course her fans knew from Day One of her tour schedule. Outside the online fan communities, most other people don't much detail about even the biggest, stars, unless, as you say, they're involved in some kind of scandal. And traditional print media covers them even less. I think Adam is doing very well, spreading his voice wherever he can, taking good opportunities when they arise.

The Queen gig has been great for Adam. Now all those die hard Queen fans have been exposed to Adam's mega talent and perhaps when his new music is released they might even buy it!

Adam's mega talent really can't be ignored. He's caught the eye and ear of so many big names in the music industry. His fame is increasing and I believe he's gonna be around for a long, long time!

Most people who have attended these concerts with Queen and Adam have been amazed by them, maybe a little sceptical to begin with but blown away when they witness Adam's talent. He has the best vocals in the business plus he's a fantastic showman, unlike others who prop up their concerts with dancers and gimmicks, Adam out-shines them all. Talent like his doesn't come along everyday and those already in the music industry know it. I'd say Adam has a very bright future ahead of him and I can't think of anyone more deserving.

Okay you guys are all right of course! I do love Adam but missed this concert bc was on vacation when it was nearest to me. Just cranky today. PMS. Plus i really do need some new songs to drool over.

@Kym, I'm looking forward to new music from Adam as well and believe it will come in due time. Patience and we will be rewarded. I'm sure of it. In the meantime, I'm going to enjoy every minute of Queen + Adam. After all, it is a pretty special time. Take care.
