'Trespassing' hitmaker Adam Lambert
has opened up about being gay in this day and age, and confessed that
one of the great things about the social media age is that if you're
feeling alone, the Internet provides a place where you can get
information and support from other people going through the same
things.
Speaking to press at the MARCO MARCO Collection Vibiana in L.A., Lambert admitted that 2014 is a great year for the LGBT community because there's so much support and progress in the right direction that will lead to wider acceptance:
"We have an opportunity right now to be part of the mainstream [...] the answers and support are just around the corner. If you're not in a city, you can get online. It's the information age. You can get on Twitter, Facebook... make friends with people. You can ask for advice. There's so much information at our fingertips now, so I think it's a really exciting time to be an LGBT person."
When asked his opinion on the recent wins for same sex marriage, Lambert added that it's another success and something that should have happened a long time ago: "F**k yeah. It's about time."
