Queen+Adam Lambert Named Band Of The Year!

Queen has a been named Band of the Year
at the 10th annual Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards held
Tuesday in Hollywood.
Queen is currently being fronted by
American Idol alum Adam Lambert.
“We won!! So excited to win band of
the year w @QueenWillRock at the #ClassicRockAwards!!” Lambert
tweeted to his millions of followers.
Other winners included Ozzy Osbourne,
who won the Classic Album category for Blizzard of Ozz, and
Gregg Allman of the The Allman Brothers Band, who took home the
Living Legend award. Past recipients include Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper
and Jimmy Page.
Lambert will join Queen band members
Brian May and Roger Taylor for a series of European dates after
touring North America and Australia earlier this year. The Queen +
Adam Lambert European tour kicks off January 13 in the United Kingdom
and includes stops in Paris, Berlin and Milan.

This is wonderful. Also it wasn't Glamberts stuffing the ballot box, as it was only one vote per email address. Also beating out The Black Keys is huge as they are a popular contemporary band, that both my children love. I did take them to see Adam+Queen and they said they had never seen a show quite like that. They were totally impressed.

Loved Adam since Idol and Queen since I was a teenager. The two of them together are amazing. Love Adam rockin out with Queen.
There are people who know how to vote more than once on polls such as this one. Unfortunately, I'm not one of them.

What's your point? Would you have wanted a different result? If you knew how to vote several times, would you have voted for Queen+Adam? Or someone else? There are fans in every fandom who know how to vote in these polls, once or several times. This time this fandom outdid the others. Kudos to both acts, Queen+Adam fans and Queen+Adam The Classic Rock Band of the Year!
@11:08. Even if there is a poll where a certain fanbase votes religiously and incessantly - you do realize that this is still a powerful concept and practive that Industry people take note of. Any act or performer that can move people to action (& to spend their money) is one that Industry PTB will take note of eventually, and that is almost as powerful an attribute to any performer as is their own talent.
I just watched a very interesting documentary about Queen, one I hadn't come across before.
