From "Something Else Reviews" (Excerpts)
"Queen’s Brian May compares Freddie Mercury and Adam Lambert eras: ‘The equal of anything we ever did’"
Dr.Brian May, Roger Taylor of Queen, and Adam Lambert performed "Somebody To Love" on The X Factor UK on 11-30-14 in London.
Excerpts from the story:
"As Queen prepares to take its world tour with Adam Lambert into the UK and Europe in 2015, Brian May is making a bold statement about how they compare with the band’s Freddie Mercury-fronted era."
" “The energy which we generate in an arena is I would say as strong as ever — and I think Freddie would agree with me,” May tells Neu Magazine. “I don’t think he would be upset with me saying that. I think the Queen show today that we do with Adam Lambert is the equal of anything we ever did.” "
" “I wasn’t looking for a lead singer,” May says, “but suddenly, here’s this guy who is very much like Freddie, in some ways. He’s very ebullient, he’s very camp, he’s very funny — and the voice is outrageously brilliant. And he can do Queen songs. He has the spirit for it. So we just said, ‘OK, we have to do this. Let’s give this a try.'” "

Amen. Brian says it like it is. So all the haters can go and shove it up there your know what.
Good for you Brian love your honesty.
Brian is hardly going to say that Adam doesn't fit in with Queen or words to that effect. Adam wouldn't be performing with them if Brian and Roger thought that.
Yes,but, Brian went far beyond just saying that Adam fits in; let's face it, he gave Adam the ultimate praise; far above any praise I have heard him say before. Doubters, "bite Adam's dust!!!!
I never tire of hearing this praise for Adam. I have been very careful not to read any of the comments on the article sites. I know many are negative and I have no desire to upset myself. The truth is very eloquently spoken by Brian and Roger and the many true Queen fans to get Adam and much as we do.
I could listen to Brian go on about Adam for hours! Music to my ears <3
It's nice Brian is sticking to his beliefs regardless of what people are saying in comments on places like Queen's Facebook or Yahoo etc.
If you go to the link, hit the underlined "neu" in the article. It brings you to the interview that this article is quoting from. I have not seen that interview but maybe it has been posted here already.

Not better, equal. Maybe everybody can stop arguing now.
I'm very satisfied with the use of the word "equal". This is one of the best compliments Bri has ever said IMO. Music to my ears!
Way to go Brian! Nayers just need to listen to the last notes of 'Somebody to Love' from this interview. Freddie's rendition and Adam's are indeed EQUALLY great!
