A writer who did the homework. I think the Oxford English Dictionary needs to come up with some new words in the superlative category to describe how incredible Adam is in partnership with Queen. The words that exist are not superlative enough. In my mind, this combination surpasses any in recorded history that I am aware of.
I hope that Adam has not set himself up for expectations from his new album by teaming up with Queen. I worry that fans are so familiar with Adam singing Queen songs that when he starts singing new songs, people won't be patient enough to get to know the new ones. He is singing hits from a group that spanned at least 20 years accumulating these hits. Will people expect that every song on A3 will be such super hits? Will fans of Queen in countries where they did not tour want to see Adam with Queen rather than Adam alone? I am so enthralled with this pairing that I don't want it to end.
I hope that the NYE concert is sold to Palladia or AXS to show on those networks so Adam and Queen can be seen in every home in the world.
Just as when someone receives a new organ because someone has died, this pairing came about under similar circumstances. Had Freddie lived, we would never have had QAL. We can't change history. All we can do is be thankful that the planets aligned as they did and we have received the benefit of new life for Queen with with a new heart and soul who brings their music to life again.
More than 20 years accumulating hit songs. Queen have been "setting stages on fire" since the 1970s.
At least the over-whelming acceptance of Adam with Queen will likely get more people to buy A3, more than ever would have without the exposure of QAL. Will everyone love Adam's own music? Probably not. That's just reality. But I'll many listeners WILL find much of Adam's music to be worthy of their attention. The impact of QAL has far more positive aspects than potential negative ones. Adam sure has gotten the attention of millions of new fans.
I doubt fans will expect Adam to sing Fat Bottomed Girls....forever.
QAL could drop FBG from their set list while in Europe, it sounds so country & western.
