Can't figure out where the girls legs are. Great picture of everybody.

I just think it is so cool that Adam and Rufus have become besties. Adam really needed someone on the tour to hang out with on off hours, and it appears to be a friendship for life. Not to slight Adam's most recent drummer, who was very good (forgot his name!), but wouldn't it be very interesting if Rufus were to be Adam's drummer for his band? And that bears the question, with Adam's single coming out and promo appearances needed and, no doubt, a solo tour, what will Adam's band look like this time? Totally new, or same folks from before? So much to look forward to, right?

Adam has had several drummers, but I would like to see a change with the band. Especially lead guitar. I have been spoiled forever after hearing Adam with Brian. Anne Marie

I'm for an all new band. Rufus would be great on drums and as long as I'm stealing from Queen....Neil is great on bass! That leaves lead guitar and keyboard, anyone but Tommy. I thought Brian was a good keyboard player and he sang backup on occasion.

I bet auditions are already in progress for some new musicians. Adam has to quit hiring his friends. I don't know if he already knew Tommy first or not, I believe he had to audition, but Adam already had a guitar player, so Tommy had to learn bass. I think and I hope that Tommy stays with the band he is with now. Out of Queens band members, Tiger is probably the only one who would be willing to come to live in America. He is young and single, I think the others have families.
If he had auditions, I would love for Brian to be there with Adam to help recognize a good guitarist for his band. I hope no more dancers this time.

Ditto about the band. How do you go from the Queen band back to his last band?? Too bad the Queen band can't play for his music :)

I will choose not to speculate over Adam's future musical choices, nor will I splash about negative comments on people. Adam will be amazing no matter, and I trust his instincts. He has my full support.

I hope Adam's band will have male backup vocals. There, I said it and now I'll be screamed at.

Well, Queens band members, are all males, and they are the backup singers also. That could also be arranged for Adam's band.
Is the band left entirely up to Adam, or would Warner Bros have a say in it also, because of his album that they are backing. Or does he even use his band for album recordings?

That's an interesting question. I think there'd be other musicians in the studio for the recording of Adam's albums - the very best! But I really don't know. However, I've seen footage of sound engineers working on music to get the sound absolutely right.

Maybe the girl is Roger's wife or the other guy's wife/partner?

Adam doesn't use his band for album/studio recordings.. They are used for live performances only..

His studio recordings are completely separate from his live backing band, at least they have been so far..

He is a solo artist (other than when he sings as frontman with Queen) and not part of a "band", like say, The Rolling Stones, etc.. Or Queen, who are a group as a whole, hence the name Queen, and not "Freddie Mercury and his band", or "Brian May and his band"..... If he was part of a band, it would be a different story..

If he ever recorded with Queen, for instance, they would be his "backing band" although he would simply be a part of the whole as the frontman for the group, as in part of the band/group "Queen" or perhaps "Queen With Adam Lambert" in that case, I would assume.... That's the difference..

It's hard to say if his new label will have any input in regard to his own backing band in the future..

I do expect we will see some changes of some sort... If nothing else, he will probably increase the size of his backing band to fill out the sound.. For instance, Bruno Mars has a larger backing band, as does Pink..(I've seen both of those artists live in the past 2 years in arenas, not to mention Queen..). More success equals more money equals the ability to hire more musicians to make a fuller, more complex sound, particularly in arena shows..

It will be interesting and exciting to see what will happen with the new music.. And hoping for another world tour for Adam Lambert, solo artist!!!

7:19 PM, We have no idea if Adam and Rufus are besties and friends for life. They may just enjoy each others company right now and as Adam has said himself about musical theater troupes and American Idol, they are your "family" for a few months and then everybody moves on.

Oh thank heavens someone else here is having trouble figuring out the legs in that picture. I have stared and stared at it, and I still can't figure it out.

I don't think Adam needs to increase the size of his backing band to fill out the sound. Adam previously has had the same number as is in Queen (not including the new percussionist Rupert.) It's definitely more of a question of talent and skill.

I've seen several concerts myself in the past two years and it's always been the talent of the musicians rather than the number of them that makes the difference. Just a few talented musicians can make it sound complex and full.

LA is crawling with extremely talented musicians looking for an opportunity. Hope a couple of them make it on Adam's next Original High tour.

I was only giving an example of some concerts I've seen whose artists chose to use more musicians.. Obviously it is not a necessity.. And not necessarily a bad thing one way or the other... Just some musing and speculation on my part. Because no one knows what the future may bring... or what Adam's decisions may be.. We'll have to wait and see... And yes, I've been to a few Queen + Adam Lambert concerts :))

glitzylady, why can't I just leave my opinion without you again backtracking and justifying yours to me? IDRC. And yes, we all know you've been to a "few" QAL concerts, not sure what that has to do with it.

In this pic everything else is outshined by Rufus' SMILE & EYES, even Adam's handsomeness is left in the shadow, he he. The photo is great fun and Rufus is perfectly lit, the white tee helping him to stand out, while others have black outfits or dark colours.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry about the comments here regarding Adam's band (ex/current/future/NOT Queen), so @PRS, can I join your team? :)

It looks like the gal is sitting Indian-style, or should I say pretzel-style, which I just learned yesterday is the new PC term. Lol. Roger has his hand around her leg.

I wondered also if Rufus would ever be Adam's drummer. He has great skills and is very charismatic on stage...that would be a match made in heaven. That being said, I do like his last drummer Rick and he seemed to be enjoying himself when he played. Longinue was a fantastic drummer; that was a shame he went back to his old band. :)

I am just curious, no disrespect meant; but, what makes you think that glitzylady is back tracking and justifying her opinion to you? You imply that it is in response to past and present opinions, as you stated in your post? Wouldn't this action be impossible for glitzylady to do, since you post as anonymous?
Unless she is a psychic, and that may indeed be the case, she would have no earthly way of knowing who you, or I, are for that matter!

Glitzylady has quite a job assisting the moderator; and she always seems to be fair. She also has a right, as a fan of Adam's, to express her opinion without being accused of stalking an anonymous person, or a tagged person for that matter.

Sorry, I know neither of you; but I was just curious as to why you would make such an accusation towards glitzylady.

People's opinions differ on here all the time; just don't take it personally. As long as we respect each other and Adam Lambert; that is the key to a successful and civilized Blog experience!!

I can see it all now, the girl is sitting with her legs drawn up, and her feet are just below her crotch. Rufus has 1 leg down, the other one is up and bent with the knee in front, and if you follow the knee down you find his foot. I put my finger on his knee, and it will separate the girls leg blending with his. Great pic of all of them. The girl is young, Roger has been married for at least 35 years, his wife's hair is white, not blonde

Rogers wife's name is Sarina Potgieter, and she's about 40 years old and has been married to him for only a little over 2 years, but together for longer... She's blond... Brian May has been married to his wife, Anita Dobson, for 15 years, although they've been together longer.. She has white hair now.. Brian & Roger have both been married more than once.. Hard to keep up :)))

Have anyone seen the New Year's Eve concert in London? That is what I called stealing the hearts of his audience. No dancers and no kissing. Just plain singing and he does not need to spit champagne either.
