Brian May helps Adam deliver a brand new rocking version

For fans of Adam Lambert wondering if his tour dates with Queen would include any selections from his latest album The Original High, that question has been answered.

While performing at the 2015 Rock in Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil over the weekend, “Ghost Town” made an appearance, but with a new Rock God sound that completely changes the vibe of the song, turning it from haunting to defiant.

I actually prefer the Queen version of Ghost Town. I'm not a fan of electro dance music in the first place. I like real instruments with real musicians. All three of Adam's albums have been a lot of the same, but I don't think dance music is where his strengths lie. He's better at rock and ballads, in my opinion. Other musicians, such as Nile Rogers, Justin Hawkins, Slash, have said Adam is truly a rocker and that's what he should be singing, but it goes on deaf ears. I just want him to record some music that U.S. radio stations will play frequently and songs that become hits. It's embarrassing that a man with Adam's talent only cracks the foreign music markets but not those in his own country.

Brian and Roger seem so uplifted; especially Brian, he pivoted! lwl! Yea, there is a lot of fire in this Rock version. But I won't give up on the whistling version! Actually, Adam basically can't be pinned down on whether he's more Rock or Pop or for that matter Opera! So that's why he's so fascinating; like my kaleidoscope analogy, so many angles to look from.

Ghost Town...Rock style

Artemis, it's frustrating, isn't it? Adam has more talent in his little finger than most top stars have in their whole bodies. Go figure. I happen to love Adam's own music. Always have. I'm also a rock fan from Day One. Adam can do both, but like you say, he needs songs (whatever genre they are) that are supremely marketable and do well on the charts. He has changed up his image and look in recent years and TOH seems to have a few strong hits on it. Adam has to sing what is in his own heart. He can't just fake it. I think he's making inroads with GT. He's so non-generic. It's what I love most about him. Breakthrough songs are always the key. I think GT has done pretty darn well. ALN is even more radio-friendly IMO. I have high hopes for it. Interesting that the foreign markets have always embraced him with open arms. The US is too cool for school.

Yea I like Another Lonely Night a lot! He hit on a very comfortable key that is consistent throughout the song. People hear a moo but I heard an elephant stampede...rather interesting backup, and I think ALN will strike! The video cast seems a motley mix, psychedelic/diverse.

@Artemis and @Dee R Gee, I assume that the two of you mirror what many Adam fans are feeling. Why isn't Adam dominating the worldwide music scene yet and what's wrong with his own country?? There was one very interesting interview in Brazil where Adam was asked why he thinks his album hasn't sold as well yet as TS's, who happens to have the same producer. Adam's answer was that she is like the popular cheerleader in high school. I think it's not quite as simple as that. I consider Adam more eccentric with his musical preferences and definitely less "generic" (thanks, @Dee), which shows in the music he listens to and shares with us. Still, as WB deems Adam to have "worldwide superstar" potential, you would think they come up with some strong ideas how to make that happen. I haven't given up hope yet as the trend is upward, but sometimes it's hard to process the mega success of only mediocre stars in comparison with the one who has it all. I really like the new album and generally I don't care if Adam sings rock or pop or funk, but he needs very strong material that is "relatable".
