They should book QUEEN and Adam Lambert for the very last song to be performed on the final show to do a rousing rendition of "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS" and then drop tons of frickin' gold glitter on the entire audience. Now, that would be a proper closing of the show ... GO OUT IN GLORY!!!! Margarita Lady

When Adam was on Season 8 of American Idol, it was the most talked about show! It was the first time I ever went on You Tube and that was only because of ADAM! I googled his name and my life was changed forever!

I bought my first computer! Since I am an electronic jinx I had avoided computers....then when Idol was over I went into a 'no more Adam' slump. I was pitiful. Then one day a couple months later, I was whining to my daughter and son in law and she said, "Mom, he's all over the
computer!"

I whipped out my checkbook and signed a blank check and said "go buy me a computer!"
And they did! And I have lived Happily Ever After......

I remember how excited everyone was about Adam Lambert. Everywhere I went, to the dentist, the grocery store, people couldn't stop talking about him. And every week I waited with baited breath to see what he would perform on A.I. It was an exciting time and I hope they have him on the final show. He changed A.I. completely and it would never be the same.

Jean Renard, I love your finale idea! QAL singing We Are The Champions would be perfect. That being said (and I know I'm speaking blasphemy here), I'm kind of ambivalent about the whole thing. I almost wish it was over already. I have mixed feelings of anticipation and dread. Not about Adam, of course. But just about the whole AI thing. I just want it all to be behind Adam and finally GONE. Can't explain it, but that's how I feel.

Dee R Gee . . . I watch the video where it shows all Adam's AI performances

but I can't watch the ending . . breaks my heart . . . What Chick-fila, AT&T and

The Church of God did. . . but things worked out in the end . .

Been thinking the very same thing . The perfect ending to this show!

Yes it was Adam got me to use a computer back then to. I was going on and on and on about him, so my daughter showed me some stuff on Youtube. I have never stopped following every note he sings, what he does what he wears where he is. Oh does that sound stalkerish... Oh Well if the cap fits I will happily wear it.

I cannot imagine they won't bring back the winners of this show-- it would be unfair to not so so regardless of how well their career is going. But except for Kelly and. Artie the most popular Idol people did not win. Adam, Daughtery, Jhud, and a few others who have a higher profile than the winners. Adam set a standard on this show that is still what others try to bring to all these singing shows. Cannot imagine him not be highlighted.

I was hooked from his first appearance on American Idol... still watch all his performances from then -- plus every interview and/or performance since then, everywhere --that I can find on youtube, and any articles about him.
Hearing myself, I sound like a stalker! But it's not like that. I feel that I have come to know him, almost as a friend or relative .... because he is so "unfiltered", and I admire him for his ethics. And I am "proud" of all he has accomplished, and his amazing voice, his looks, his charm, his courage, his sense of humor and obvious intelligence....even though I have no RIGHT to be "proud" of any of that. And I KNOW he would be so much fun to spend time with!
I have even come to terms with his use of the "F" word, even though I still hope that he'll find a more erudite replacement one of these days. But I'll never get used to him using the "M-F" word, because I feel that it demeans him, his mother, his family.... his fans...and me! I know that it doesn't have the same impact on him, and many others, but there are still a lot of us out here who cringe when they hear it.
But, I'm "preaching to the choir" as they say. I think most of you Glamberts have a good idea of what I'm talking about. Adam is just "SPECIAL".

I agree, @Nanbert regarding the MF words. Guess it's a generation thing, but still demeaning to me as a mother & as woman. Seems so unecesessary to use it to sound cool". I also was hooked from his first appearance on American Idol & bought my first computer as a result of hearing about all of the Adam info & videos of him on YT & then discovering AL 24'7. I'm sure Adam will be on this last season, as he has never missed an appearance in some capacity every year since he first appeared. He is one of the most successful artists who also raised the bar. I also agree that Adam + Queen for the finale would be a fitting tribute and end to the show that gave us our special rock/pop god. I will always be grateful for the Idol platform that launched Adam's stellar journey, making the world a better, smaller place.

Can’t believe you want for Adam to sing Champions again. Can I say hell to the NO…

AI, sadly, is his only chance to promote his single on a major American show. Not that my opinion here matters, but had to get it out there that I’m tired of Adam’s work and significance getting overshadowed by Queen.

Also, I have an irritating suggestion…
Can you guys try to be discreet about your age and general TMI? I am grateful for everything Adam’s older fans do, but no need to talk about your age group or comment with your real pictures at this point when you know it hurts Adam’s popularity on radio and it gets taken against him in general… and it’s frustrating for a young fan like me to get mocked for Adam’s older fans

Not my personal bias.

Nanbert, ditto to all you said! I've been on board since Day One with Adam, too. I feel just like you do.

I Love The Light, welcome to 24/! Glad you're here to add to the conversation. Some of us have been here since the beginning and we have gradually shared more about ourselves. It just happens naturally over time. So after six years, we tend to know the demographics fairly well. I post on two other sites, too, and it's the same there. I understand your concern about Adam's fan base "image," but he handles it well. It's a diverse group. As Adam says, there's room for everybody.

Nanbert said...

O.K. Here's something for everybody.....How about having the AI finale include Queen and Adam Lambert performing Adam's "GHOST TOWN" (Queen version) and/or "LUCY"? What a blast!

And BTW, I don't feel that Queen overshadows Adam at all. On the contrary, Queen has introduced Adam to hundreds of thousands of fans who would never have known of him before their world tour (filling huge arenas and stadiums everywhere). It has also put on display Adam's vocal prowess, stagemanship, and versatility that most people were unaware of... even some of his fans!

Last, please don't relate distaste of cursing or demeaning language to an age group! I relate it to poor vocabulary, lack of respect (or at least thoughtfulness), and, well, NOT classy. Since Adam is intelligent, articulate, has a superb vocabulary, very classy, and thoughtful of others...I find it jarring when he comes out with the "M-F" word. There's dozens of better words to convey the same sentiment!

Just focus on what "M-F" ACTUALLY MEANS!

Honesty, I would think Adam would go back if asked and it fit into his schedule. Not really a big deal, for him. He's traveling a lot and if the stars aline it could work. If not, on to the next concert.
