From NME: Queen and Adam Lambert named as first headliner for the Isle of Wight Festival 2016

Queen and Adam Lambert have been named as the first headliner for the Isle of Wight Festival 2016.
The booking represents Queen's first ever festival show and will be their only UK gig next year. They will close the annual festival on Sunday, June 12.
Coincidentally, next year's Isle of Wight Festival coincides with the Queen's 90th birthday which falls on the exact same day as Queen perform live.
Speaking about the appearance, Queen's Brian May said: "I think Queen at The Isle of Wight Festival is a date that was long overdue. How incredible to take on this challenge at this point in our lives. With an injection of new blood in the shape of the incredible Adam Lambert, Queen will be ready to tear it up on this legendary stage in 2016. Freddie would have loved it. Can’t wait."

So that's two Queen shows in 2016, at least so far! Adam must pinch himself every time another QAL show gets booked. He is THEIR MAN.
Dee R Gee, there are 3 confirmed concerts, Sweden, Portugal (Rock in Rio) and now UK.
And this Festival is the perfect lead-up to headlining Glastonbury 6-22 to 6-26.
I fully expect that it will happen, and that Adam's new adoptive godfathers - Brian and Roger will include some TOH in their set list for these tours!

Ah-ha so Adam finally catches the real Queen's eye on her 90th birthday, Royalty Glambert. This reminds me of my weird story of Adam being knighted by the Queen because he foiled an attempted theft of her blue diamond; and Queen played 'One Vision' at the ceremony...well well, not so far-fetched after all. lwl!
Yea, love QAL a lot, with expectation 2016.
Just read that because QAL are the exclusive headliners for Wight, they cannot headline Glastonbury next year.
Weird short story... 008
A helicopter hovered above surreptitiously...bang! bang! pheeeeew...it almost hit Agent 008 who dodged it in a jiffy...gazed into the sky with those mesmerising super blue eyes. Yes 008 at once recognised those thugs who had been stalking him because he had just smashed a hooded gang of notorious thugs. In fact these thieves almost got away with the Royal ancestral blue diamond Crown, only one of its kind. During that raid, the Queen had to be whisked away in 008's helicopter to keep her safe.
008 was instantly knighted and presented the Sword of Honour by the Queen. And Queen Band was at hand to witness the historic event. They struck up 'One Vision' their fierce Metal Rock to grace the occasion; it was indeed a kaleidoscopic fanfare.
008 is sometimes nicknamed Knight of the Night as he smashed that gang of thugs sharp at the stroke of midnight; er no, he was no Cinderella, his other nickname is Killer Queen.
That fateful night, 008 single-handedly whipped the gang of thugs; and wailed...Foreeever...Tooooo Looove...!
You see unlike his predecessor 007, ...008 is a Praying-mantis kung-fu Sifu and so even though there were four of them, his hook and flying-kick licked them dead one at a time. lol!

I like the QAL stage photo...Mmm, Adam as usual, conducts with gusto. Whoa! my antenna is switching from east to west and west to east real fast and furious...Adam ain't slowing it down. lol! AdminFan is running like crazy as well. lol!
