“My family has a Thanksgiving tradition where we make parodies out of movies; we haven’t done it in a while (but if we do it this year), I’d want to do the Hunger Games,” multi-platinum musician Adam Lambert grinned over the phone. “And if we manage to do it, I want to play President Snow.” While breakfast was still settling in our tummies yesterday (Nov 26), the singer-songwriter was fresh from a gym session, just chilling out at his LA home in the early evening on one of his rare off days. Adapting to time differences has become “part of my life” for Adam, who catapulted to fame after coming in as runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009 – the rest, as they say, is history. Having spent the last moments of his past few years away from home, we could almost feel him shrug, even over the phone. “I didn’t grow up celebrating Christmas and I make time for my family whenever I can so being away on New Years’ Eve isn’t such a big deal for us,” he explained. “Being on the road all the time (…) it’s a part of who I am and we’re used to it,” Adam concluded.
