Just FYI.. I was trying to buy tickets this morning for the LA concert and it was completely nuts.. Sold out in a matter of minutes.. Many people had major problems with Ticketmaster including myself. I won't go into the gory details here but lets just say I wasn't amused!

Bottom line, I have a seat from the pre-sale, fortunately.. And I was able to help friends with tickets also, but from ticket re-sellers..

I think Adam's concerts are going to be VERY well attended!!!

So glad THAT'S over!!! For now anyway....

I bought tickets for Detroit (closest venue to Cincinnati) during the Citi Cardmember pre-sale. The site was a bit confusing and I got bumped off a few times. I wanted a seat and most of the tickets were GA. I lucked out and got the only two single seats left for $55 in the reserved seat mezzanine section. You can still get "Official Platinum Seats" in that section for $300-$400+ (only 1 row back from mine) I'm anxious to see how my $55 seats compare to the "Platinum" ones. A meet & greet would have been nice for $400+. I'm "chasing the original high" and the 25th can't come soon enough!

Dafaq...looks like seeing Adam for the first time is not going to happen for me...
Every venue I considered didn't work out. Vegas needs a pre-sale code? LA sold out. Clearwater sold out. D.C. says no tickets available...what does it mean?
Not to mention I need time to convince my parents or a date or something to make a trip with me! With this pace that tix are flying nothing can get planned out :(
Vegas or CA would have been more tempting places to visit

PLEASE PLEASE don't buy tix from re-sellers! You only encourage them! If you leave the suckers with the unsold tix, next time they won't be so eager to steal loads of tix out of fans' hands. Adam pockets the money for those tix anyway, and maybe he'll add more dates. You won't die if you don't go to the next show...esp if you've already seen him a zillion times unlike me...

I feel so lucky to have a ticket to the Chicago show. I know how hard it is sometimes, it has happened to me, too. So glad the tickets are selling so well. It could mean a step to bigger venues next time around. BTW, I hate the re-sellers/scalpers, too, but I'd hate to see their tickets unsold and have empty seats in the venue. It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of thing. Getting tickets for almost anything is a real pain. Good luck all!

I wish it was that easy. I won't go into details but I suspect that a good percentage of the tickets that went on sale today in LA went on reseller sites... Also, MANY seats were sold during the Pre-sale, both fan club and Citi-Bank card.

And, seats kept opening up during the 2 days the pre-sales were open, before today's general sales..

Remember that unsold reseller site tickets are empty seats for Adam's concerts... And that's where many fans must go in order to see Adam at all in concert. It's an unfortunate fact of life for concert goers.. at least for concerts that are popular..

Here's an informative article that explains what's going on with concert tickets... This is not a new issue... And those of us who have been buying concert tickets over the years don't like it, but it's unfortunately the way things are...

http://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/why-buying-concert-tickets-is-so-frustrating.html/?a=viewall

An excerpt:

"Brokers often buy 50% or more of the credit card pre-sale tickets and flip them on legal resell websites like StubHub for a profit. After the scalpers, brokers, fan clubs, pre-sales, and VIP programs swallow up more than 90% of the seats, there aren’t a whole lot left for average fans to fight over on Ticketmaster.com when general admission tickets go on sale."

We fans are frustrated but this is the reality... It's probably not going to change any time soon..

I spent literally hours trying to get a couple of tickets for friends who were not able to do the sale due to work obligations... We had to buy on Stub Hub, which is a legal re-seller outlet. It's the Ticket re-seller arm of E-Bay. Many fans also sell tickets that they cannot use. The fees to list the tickets are high so much go into the price of the tickets... Some tickets are priced way above the original cost...

Not saying this is the way it should be, but is it how it is right now...

I hope you can perhaps buy a ticket from another fan who will gladly sell it to you at their original cost.. This happens often.. I do truly hope you will be able to see Adam live soon!!!!

And also be aware that Ticketmaster has their own completely legitimate re-seller page for those fans who turn back tickets that they have bought but don't use... Re-seller sites are currently legal and are used by many who would have no other possible way to see their favorite artists...

There are bargains to be had on re-seller sites the closer you get to a concert date.. I've bought tickets literally the day of the concert at lower than original cost.. Once I bought 4th row center seats a few hours before the show.. at less than face value... And for one Adam concert early on in his post-Idol career, the only way I could go was to buy on Stub Hub... The concert sold out instantly at a fairly small venue within driving distance for me, which is very very rare for me... I usually must fly to see Adam...

Just some thoughts.... from past experiences..

If they resell at face value it's fine, but I won't from those who are in the business of reselling for profit. Yes, there will be empty seats but at least Adam got the money for those seats LOL I'll save the money for a future show or I'll buy more albums

Do you have the links to those resellers that sell at face value?

@I Love The Light
Most re-seller sites list the tickets at whatever the actual seller wants to list the items at... Stub Hub doesn't set the prices but they do charge a fee for listing on their site.. I assume most if not all re-seller sites are like this.. Including Ticketmaster's re-sale page.. You have to go to the sites and see what tickets are selling for.. Be aware of what the original price was, find out what the fee for listing is, and then go from there... and make your decision.

I do want to reiterate that many of the listings on Stub Hub, etc.., are NOT from brokers and scalpers.. They are from fans who bought tickets and then either cannot go to the event or have bought more desirable tickets for themselves and need to sell their unused tickets... Many tickets are reasonably priced.. I have friends who sell tickets there. Some prices are stratospheric and totally off the wall.. and the tickets sit there unsold..

It's up to each person to decide what works for them...

Ticket bots are the software used by scalpers to buy tickets faster than people can. Ticketmaster has reported they buy up to 60% of the most desirable seats at events. They are illegal in 14 states so far.

Interesting article about it here:
http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/new-law-to-do-battle-with-the-ticket-bots/

Sen. Schumer has proposed Federal legislation that will outlaw the use of ticket bots and the websites that resell the tickets:
http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/music/sen-chuck-schumer-proposes-u-s-crackdown-on-ticket-bots-scalpers-1.10899892
Make it happen, Chuck!

Also, recent story about ticket bots possibly buying Adele tickets in Seattle and driving prices up on reseller sites:
http://www.geekwire.com/2016/bots-are-buying-adele-tickets-at-key-arena-and-one-state-senator-wants-an-investigation/

From this article, I'd love to see Stub-Hub investigated and to see more artists use a company like Songkick:
http://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/adele-moves-to-thwart-scalpers-but-it-didnt-do-much-for-seattle-fans/

I gotta agree with I love The Light about not buying from "scalper" sites, no matter how legitimate they try to make themselves appear. Fans can always sell to other fans through fan clubs and social media.

I'm wondering how I'm supposed to get the fanclub presale code. I registered on Adam Official and received an email Jan 12 titled "The Original High Tour in USA Announced", but I don't see any presale code on it. How did you get your fanclub presale codes?

Sadly, I have succumbed to the ridiculously high prices on Stub Hub and the like to see Adam. Have paid hundreds PER ticket and I understand the anger about this. But, as I said, I 'succumbed' to the price because I wanted to see Adam that badly. This time around, I'm just not sure if I want to go that route. He's only playing one date in LA (where I'm from) and I've checked the prices. They are ridiculous AGAIN. Have to think about this ...

I think like you @I love The Light. I can see no other way this will stop. Buying from them only encourages them. I'm only one person, Adam won't miss me, and I don't feel like a sucker.

I have gone the Stub Hub route a few times too. The prices are insane. It's easy to tell someone to just not buy from those brokers, but I hate thinking about the empty seats at a concert because people can't afford to buy those tickets. I would love to see legislation that would shut down these kinds of ticket sellers.

I'll just add my story to all of yours...first of all, the stress I feel each time I try to buy tix to see Adam is over the top (no sleep, nervous stomach..need I go on?) I 've always had to resort to StubHub etc at huge prices to get a ticket but, of course, there was no way I was going to miss seeing Adam. I hate the idea of scalpers etc. but it is the reality & if ever there will be legislation to change things it would be fantastic!

I live in La.and was thrilled this would only be a short drive to the venue...I had a friend helping me using his computer & me on mine, both of us primed and ready at 10am, me using my CitiCard and he using the Fan Club passcode and both of us on the phone together seeing what came up....it was nuts! If a single seat came up anywhere we grabbed it....not picky at all. I ended up buying 5 tix & I can finally take my daughter & 2 granddaughters (tween age) & the friend. We're all over the place...got 2 tix together for the girls & the rest of us single seats in balcony & a couple in the Orchestra but for me it was the first time I was able to get a ticket at face value. Ticketmaster adds their hefty fee though. The stress is over for now thank goodness 😜

Tickets in all 3 categories are still available via Tickermaster (face value) to the NYC venue - go figure!
