I live in Louisiana. It is 11pm - does anyone know if the cut off time for voting is Eastern Standard time?

I was wondering something similar. The contest say "the act with the most votes by 4th January will win". But... this is a British contest, and it's been Jan. 5 in the U.K. for a good while. It turned Jan 5 here (Pittsburgh) about 45 minutes ago -- and will still be January 4 on the west coast for a few more hours.

So....when IS the voting over? I just checked in a couple of minutes ago and the site is still accepting votes!
I guess we just keep voting until it tells us it's "closed". We can't take a chance on "Nightwatch" retaking the lead. I voted non-stop for three hours this evening, and a long time earlier today as well.

I'm just taking a break from Voting non-stop today to ask the same question ... no matter ... I'll just keep voting into the night ... that's usually when Nightwish takes over. Hope this is over soon!! Good work Glamberts!!

I wish something had been posted by the site about this and I wish I had thought about this sooner. I hope all the voting by us that was done last night is not wasted votes.

Just went to the site. It says "Voting over. Votes being counted." So, it's done and we should know soon, I hope.

I stopped voting at 3AM ET & QAL was still #1 on the leaderboard ... sorry ... couldn't stay awake any longer but I tried ... hope it was enough!! Now I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed ...

@Dee R Gee ... I noticed while I was voting that it said Voting up until January 4th ... results on January 11th ... guess it's 'pins & needles' until then.

I checked back on the site for the exact wording... it says "all votes in..double checking them .. WINNER (of the SSE Award) WILL BE ANNOUNCED HERE SHORTLY".

My impression is that we'll hear soon about THIS part, but the winner of the free tickets won't be announced until the 11th.

I hope that's what it means-- maybe wishful thinking --- We just want to know NOW!
