OT - Just read that Lady GaGa will be doing the Bowie tribute with Niles at the Grammys. Was really hoping it would have been Adam.
In my own perfect universe, Adam would have performed Let's Dance with Nile Rodgers and Under Pressure with Roger Taylor. Now THAT would be an excellent tribute. I wish it would have been a multi-artist tribute, instead of just Gaga. I know she'll do a fine job and she has a connection with Bowie, but so do many other artists. I would have loved to see a more diverse group. Guess time is a factor, too.
@Dee R Gee, I totally agree with you & wondered if Nile had mentioned Adam as a choice. Adam would have been my choice & Bowie had been such an inspiration to him. He also sang Under Pressure surpassing Bowie vocally. I just don't think there is anyone better. Lady Gaga did a great job singing The Star Spangled Banner at the Super Bowl, but I couldn't help wishing it were Adam. I always loved him singing it at the Miramar military base during his time on Idol when he was in San Diego.
