My guess..... Alex and Holly's coats are almost certainly fake. IF Adam's is real, it is probably lamb or sheep (due to the curly texture). We certainly raise sheep for food (mutton or lamb) as well as wool, don't we? It makes no sense to throw away the pelts, does it? Some of the warmest clothing and footwear has sheepskin lining. And certainly all leathergoods (shoes, etc.) come from animal hides... mostly cattle which have been raised for food. I am AGAINST the trapping and slaughter of animals JUST to wear their fur, but I have to admit that I am a meat-eater, so there is a certain hypocrisy in my position.
I just wanna throw in a few toughts here: first: I don't really see a great difference between eating meat and wearing the skin (fur, leather). It's mankinds use of animals both times.
second: Why do people react so strongly when it's fur but not when it's leather? I highly doubt that all the leather he wears is fake^^
third: jackets with down-feathers aren't commonly criticised. Are people not aware of how those are won?^^
fourth: all the people buying clothes in mainstream shops. It is common knowledge under what circumstances people have to work long hours, for next to nothing wage, ruining their health with toxic fumes or even their skin if they work with the toxic chemicals themselves. So we loose it over animals but when hundreds die working so that western world can have cheap and fast fashion it's just another sad story on the news?
Don't they just shear the wool from lambs & sheep for their fur ... not kill them?? Don't people wear wool sweaters, pants, etc. in the winter to keep warm? Also all the afghans, blankets, mittens & scarves that are knitted out of wool?? I don't eat lamb chops ... never could bring myself to try them ... but I am guilty of wearing woolen clothes .... I'm sure a lot of us are ... so why the big deal over a Shearling fur coat?? Just asking ........
Just FYI, shearling is not the same as wool. Wool comes from shearing sheep yearly and the sheep continues to live. In fact they must be regularly sheared. Shearling is different, it is the tanned hide of a recently sheared sheep. So shearling is the same as leather or fur in terms of it comes from a dead animal.
Adam is wearing real lambs wool coat. Nothing against it, as I also like to eat lamb (chomps), as Adam says. I don't care for men wearing fur coats unless they live in Iceland or somewhere., Adam lives in CA. Although he does tour in some cold weather countries. I imagine he bought it in OZ, or New Zealand, where they have huge sheep farms. The others do look fake. The idea sounds cruel, but a lot of people do eat lamb. I think his coat goes for $2 or $3,000. He also has a Jacket that looks like a real fur collar. Adam wears clothes , a lot of the time to draw attention to himself, and wants conversation about them.
Regarding the different animal skins that people wear for fashion, status or keep warm etc. I used to live in a house overlooking a backyard where people skinned and sunned crocodile skins which are made into handbags, belts, shoes etc. I didn't see them being skinned but the crocodile pelts were laid out in their original state in the sun; maybe from crocodile farms. As for Adam's black fur coat, well he looks very good in it, not sure what fur or perhaps synthetic. If it's sheep, then Adam is ba ba black sheep. lwl! Adam is a rather soft-hearted person, he'd probably ask what kind of fur, and if the animal was tortured or killed to make it, he would not wear it, I think.
Animals (in China also dogs) who are kept for fur, are often treated very badly and killed in an inhumane way. If AL tortured and then very cruelly killed a dog, would that be his business as well?

Tortured and killed a few animals by the looks of it. Or are we not allowed to criticise Adam Lambert. He should know better.
