So-o-o funny! Dalton talking about if he was to sing with Adam.... "he would show my ass up so bad"!!

Of course he could.... but knowing Adam, he would be gentle, generous and helpful to the novice.... and not deliberately try to "show up his ass".... like some pros we've seen.

Adam isn't in charge of making a duo happen either. Dalton will learn his fans will always be wanting him to duo with other singers they are a fan of.

He is also still a kid, just turned 20 years old at the beginning of Feb. He's been thrown into the spotlight and people are noticing him. Gotta be overwhelming for anyone. I hope AI is a good springboard for him.

Ok, this is a real doll. I can see why Adam took notice of him, and I can see how the female AI audience would fall in love with him. Let's face it. Good looks help a lot, even if the vocals aren't the best in the competition. Nice of him to say such good things about Adam. Gee, how long has it been since a girl won AI? I think there has been one since Adam? Can't remember.

Just listened to him sing on the video. I hate to say it, but I don't think he's that good. But then I only heard the one song. He has the doe-y eyes and emotive manners girls love. But I'm not impressed with the voice. Oh well.

Imagine the hair and eyes brown.....he looks like a young singer I interviewd for my college newspaper.

JAK, I am so impressed! I've seen pictures of Elvis in 1955. He was also absolute babe. What an incredible memory for you! History in the making.

I have to add a couple of things about Dalton. He may not have a voice to compare with Adam Lambert (not many out there do, and Dalton himself clearly expressed that) but he caught my attention from his audition for American Idol and he's quite honestly my favorite this season, along with Olivia Rox (who could also win, IMHO), and a few others (some really good talent this season: Yes, I still watch Idol!!)..I also feel he could win. He's an adequate singer. He has great stage presence (he knows how to work a stage) and charming personality & sense of humor.. And he's certainly a good looking young man..

Since this is an Adam Lambert blog, I felt it wasn't really the place to include links to all of Dalton's performances on Idol this year so far, when I posted this thread :))) .. But if interested, look them up on the internet.. They're all out there.

I also like Dalton. It helps that he puts people in mi d if Adam as this will help him. No he doesn't have Adams voice, who does, but if Dalton stays in the competition he will probably get a chance to si g with Adam, at least meet him.

glitzy, I do trust your judgment. I haven't been watching AI like you have so I don't have the full perspective. He seems like a really nice kid with a good personality. That counts for a lot in this competition. I always hope that the winner winds up having one of the best voices. Looks count, but it is a singing competition after all. It's great that there is a strong girl in the running, too. The last female winner was the girl whose name starts with a G, but I can't remember her name. Sorry. So, it would be nice if a girl won, too. The AI ratings aren't good but I hope enough people are watching to give someone their shot!

Looking at the photo above of Adam at the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party, I can't help but be struck by Adam's "PRESENCE"... even though he's standing still. On stage he just exudes it!
You either have it, or you don't.... and he has it... PRESENCE! It's rare... kind of an aura, an impression.

Dalton, IMO,is the first exciting contestant Idol has had in I don't know,how long. Still not sure about the actual,vocals when they're,stripped down. He actually reminds me a little of Jason Castro, but more serious about the craft. Not wild about anyone,else, but will keep an open mind.

Not sure but I think the last girl to win AI was Candace Glover ... extremely beautiful voice but not so much stage presence ... but I think she's as good as Adele ... JMO. Now that I've been made aware of Dalton ... gonna look him up on Ytube ... cute little boy ... IMO ..............

That's who it is! Candace Glover. I knew there was a G in there somewhere. Yes, she has a fantastic voice, equal to Adele's. Candace was the last girl to win, I think. Dalton is definitely a teenage girl's dream, a real heartthrob. That will certainly give him a nice boost with the voters. Good luck to him!
