Whoa! A wake-up call of sorts lol! Very fierce! but I must say Adam has become a lot more polished, classic and the voice/vibrato has more gradient; comparing it with the stylistic suit / black leather pants / white rosette, pre-Grammy performance, Let's Dance to honour David Bowie. 'Mars', 'fly' notes, same projection power; maybe even stronger. Thanks AdminFan!
A lot of water has gone under The AI tour, the start of a new chapter Younger, dancier, now evolved A full-fledged elegant performer Taking his own Original High tour Round the world...wiser, wealthier Well, when he performed Life On Mars, Fame, Let's Dance Hardly did he envisage he would sing His dear mentor, David Bowie's Swan song so soon after
I wonder how many of this year's Grammy viewers have seen Adam's Bowie medley? Probably next to none. This is the kind of medley that should have been done on the show. Adam just nailed those songs and oozed enthusiasm and sensuality. Nobody does it like him. I'd love to see him do this medley again live onstage(just to show the world how it's done). :)
I've had this video (maybe not this city) mine has more dancing . . anyway I have it on my work computer . . . so I can have an Adam moment every now and then . . brighten up the day!
One of my favourite early years performance....the man radiates sex appeal....andhe was always a Bowie fan, lots of videos of his tributes to prove it....
Well, let's face it...Adam has ALWAYS been sexy. I prefer him a BIT more "pulled back" and subtle...as he is today... to the earlier Adam shown above. He's more sophisticated and elegant now, and his dancing is graceful and sexy, but relates to the music better, IMO.
Adam's voice is/was astounding in any time period...maybe even better now... and should never be overshadowed by his dancing, the staging, or any other part of his tour! Looking back on some of those earlier videos reminds me how young and inexperienced he was, and how HARD he was TRYING to be sexy... to please his audience.
I still enjoy a good "bodyroll" now and then --- just not non-stop! Adam doesn't need to TRY to be sexy.... HE JUST IS!!!! But, as he has said..."Less is better". Now he's learned the value of a cunning lip-lick.... a "suggested (modified) bodyroll"... head tipped back with a slight smile and swaying... singing a few more notes into the stratosphere at the end of some songs (as sort of a transition)...etc. etc. But he still occasionally goes briefly all out, just to keep the audience on their toes!
Adam is electric on-stage... a consummate performer... the total package... just better balanced now, IMO.
All I can say is that ADAM brought music back into my life. Before ADAM I lived in the past listening to my albums & tapes ... pure nostalgia ... mainstream music was not my cuppa' ... then along came ADAM and my eyes/ears were once again aware of how Good Music can make you look forward to the Good things in life. This medley was a part of that re-awakening & I haven't stopped looking/listening to only the BEST ... aka *ADAM LAMBERT*!! Thanx for the walk down memory lane once again!! Light 'n Love
Lambert Outlaw... that could have been me talking there! I felt the same...pre-Adam. But the words to Adam"s song "Music Again" describe it perfectly.... "YOU MADE ME WANT TO LISTEN TO MUSIC AGAIN"! .............I "drank the Koolade"! It WAS good! Still is!
