Chicago Tribune: Adam Lambert loses earring at Chicago concert; fan reportedly finds it

A fan reportedly found an earring pop-rocker Adam Lambert lost while performing last week at the Vic Theatre in Lakeview. The singer's rep said the concertgoer contacted the show promoter and promised to mail the jewelry to Los Angeles, where Lambert has shows scheduled Saturday and Sunday.

There is much more to this story and it's too bad the Chicago Tribune did not report the rest of the story..
The fan is indeed returning the earring but was worried that it would get lost in the mail. Arrangements have been made to return it to Adam via a safe method..
There was some uproar and the fan was vilified and criticized for a time before people understood the complete story and circumstances..
I'm not sure I understand why this was even news, to be honest.

@adamlambert My sister has it, wants to return it to you personally as mail not trustworthy anymore. We'll figure something out don't worry!
The USPS is very reliable and trustworthy. It could also have been sent overnight or by FedEx, all good ways to keep track of a package.
As I said in the comment above, arrangements have already been made, and were made the same day. Uproar over nothing..
Glad that fan will return the earring, as it's the decent thing to do. It would be nice if he in the future could give her an IOU for a nice hug & M&G.
I would return it IN PERSON . .that deserves a HUG!
...and all I'm thinking how much that earrings worth, if he wants it back so badly^^
