In a new interview, out singer Adam Lambert says most people don't care about his sexuality.
“What I've found that is interesting is the majority of people I've encountered really don't care,” Lambert answered. “The people that care the most about it are the media. And in some ways it can be a very good thing because it is helping us progress and it can help us break down stereotypes and it can help break homophobia by talking about it and really exploring it. But in some ways it perpetuates the separateness of it. By talking about it all the time, and pointing it out and slanting articles about it all the time, you're keeping people separated.”
“The thing I'm trying to do with my music is it's not gay, it's not straight, it's not black or white, it's not man or woman, it's sort of just human,” he added.

Adam, those are profound thoughts and observations; people will listen to you because you're talking from real life experiences. You're quite right about the media blowing things sky-high, well that's how they earn their living; still they should report true things rather than take people on a wild goose chase or stereotype people into boxes they themselves know little about.
If it's just media per-se, it's not as bad as if there is a sinister ulterior motive with the sole purpose of dividing / separating people intentionally, to achieve their own power or sinister goal using the gay issue as a kind of scapegoat...I'm saying this based on a recent local outcry which seems dubious to me.
Yes Adam, your songs are human, I can relate to all of them.
"out singer Adam Lambert"...the word 'out' is not necessary. Just state as: Adam Lambert says...
I think this terrible need to box people is unnecessary. By the way, I often hear on the CNN news using this category: 'People of colour'...so white is not a colour? That is in itself a fallacy.
So with reference to first statement above; it would be more accurate and descriptive to say: 'out, white Adam Lambert says...' lol!

I'm doing ok . Don't really have time to post too often anymore . The new hospital is s nightmare not enough help and everything is set up crazy ...at least it's not a tent. The roof doesn't leak nor does water run in the freezer so that your shoes freeze to the floor when you go in, so all in all ok.My husband had gotten worse and had to retire early don'tthings havr been s little ruff but he is doing a little better. I am going to see our Adam In Witchia this Monday so pumped about that . Good to talk yo you have a great day.
